Casa Luna l Residential Eaglemont VIC
The beauty and tranquility of Eaglemont, a peaceful neighborhood with tree-lined streets and stunning city views, seamlessly flows into Casa Luna. This home, designed with feng shui principles, channels qi (energy) throughout its spaces. Through thoughtful building design, spatial arrangements, and a carefully chosen material palette, Casa Luna optimizes the flow of energy to foster a peaceful and prosperous living environment.
The homeowners, founders of the Australian tapware company Sussex, commissioned Biasol to design their new residence to accommodate their growing family of six. They desired serene and transcendent spaces filled with natural light, strong connections to nature, and views of the moon and night sky. Collaborating closely with a feng shui master during the early design stages, we ensured the building and layout balanced the harmonizing forces of yin and yang, maximizing the potential for positive energy.

Casa Atrio l Residential

A heavenly, plant-filled atrium breathes life, light, and connection into the heart of this family home. Externally, Casa Atrio embodies the character of an Italianate-style terrace, seamlessly blending decorative classical architecture with Victorian-era design. This ornate and picturesque style, unique to Melbourne, reflects the city’s prosperity and optimism during the late nineteenth-century gold rush. Inside, the light-filled spaces exude the charm of a classic Parisian apartment, featuring elegant detailing, custom furniture, and inviting areas for family and friends to gather.

Paying homage to the historic warehouse styles of Cremorne, this new three-level, 2500m² office building seamlessly integrates with its surroundings. Featuring a 5-meter ground floor height and a facade of corten steel, the building’s upper roof deck offers stunning views across the city, making it a
spot for occupants of The Commons co-working space. The client engaged Biasol to design the building envelope as a cold shell project.

The homeowners, directors at Greystar and Hecker Guthrie, engaged HEB34 Architecture to design their new home after their marriage. Brick is prominently used as both cladding and weather protection, with the volume and openings carefully planned to leverage traditional masonry techniques. This approach minimizes the use of steel and concrete reinforcements, creating elegant openings while maintaining structural integrity.
HEB34 Architecture collaborated closely with the clients, who played an active role as interior designers for the project. The design is complete, and all preparations are in place for the building permit. The clients are now awaiting a stabilization in the construction market to commence building.

Baguette Studio’s name is inspired by its elongated layout. Behind a charming red-brick facade, this chic, minimalist space features warm timber and orange accents. The heart of the studio is an open-plan kitchen where customers can watch bread bake as they eat, creating a unique and engaging dining experience. Traditional Korean moon-jar decorations, crafted from white porcelain, are thoughtfully scattered throughout the space.
HEB34 Architecture worked closely with the builder from the project’s inception, meticulously checking construction costs at every design stage to adhere to the strict budget constraints.
Hospitality Projects

The rich history of an 1870s heritage-listed warehouse was the backdrop for our eighth collaboration with Grind. For the client, this project represented the next step in the growth of their business, marking their transition from successful coffee and cocktail venues to a full-scale restaurant and bar.
From a design perspective, this meant redefining the visual language that we developed for their other locations and building a new flagship for the brand that would set the direction for their future venues.
Spanning two floors, the venue comprises the main dining room, cocktail bar and private dining at ground level, with a more intimate bar and night spot, the open kitchen and amenities in the basement. The materials palette combines plush velvet, polished brass elements, timber paneling and cool marble surfaces. Overhead, angled oval mirrors create unexpected connections between groups of diners.
No.19 I Hospitality
214 Union Road, Ascot Vale VIC
Husband-and-wife team Domenic and Diana Caruso commissioned us to develop the interiors and branding for their second café, No. 19.
Our concept was inspired by the Greek delicatessens that flourished around Melbourne in the 1950s. Materially, concrete surfaces – the counter, walls and floor – give the space a warmth and sophistication, offset by refined brass elements. Timber-topped tables with banquette seating and Pedrali chairs run the length of the space. At intervals, lightweight steel framing with in-built lighting becomes a sculptural element.
A key priority in this project was to develop a strong relationship between the interior design and the brand itself.

Hinoak I Hospitality

Coleman Parade, Glen Waverley VIC
Craft, harmony and a delicate balance between built form and natural material underpin our concept for Hinoak, a traditional Korean barbecue in Melbourne’s south-east.
Our design for the project focused on creating a warm, cosy and intimate space. Spatially, the interior is structured by two banks of timber tables with integrated charcoal barbecues. Specifying LED backlighting rather than pendants retains the sense of openness and visual connections throughout the space. The striking timber-battened ceiling descends gently as it extends through the restaurant, curving into the rear wall alongside the terrazzo-clad bar.
