ESG & Sustainability Policy

Purpose and scope

Our purpose is driven by being a Force for Good, for our people, our communities, our planet, and for society as a whole. At Hydrock, we are committed and have the opportunity to be creative and bold with our design solutions for clients to drive long term value, eliminate impacts, and deliver climate resilient places and infrastructure.

In developing our approach to ESG and sustainability we have considered the impact of both the projects we design and of our corporate and individual activities locally and nationally. We have agreed the following goals/outcomes which are underpinned by commitments and targets owned, delivered and monitored by us.

» Human capital – To put our people and talents first

» Social capital – To create social value and partnerships

» Economic capital – To champion innovation and resilience

» Natural capital – To elevate the place of nature and biodiversity

» Physical capital – To enable responsible growth and practices

Governance

The Hydrock Board is ultimately accountable for the implementation of the policy, supported by the Business Improvement team, the ESG Steering Group and the Sustainability Working Group. However, everyone at Hydrock is responsible for considering their impact on the environment and the sustainability of their actions as part of all work undertaken, whether internally or for clients.
