TBX Delivery Manual_26

Page 1

INTRODUCTION

This Delivery Manual provides the owner of this machine with the information which is unique to your machine. It is a composite collection of documents detailing the various checks which have been made to ensure your new TBX machine reaches you as you have ordered it, ready to deliver long and reliable service. It also contains documentation which records the responsibilities of the various parties to ensure the machine is operated safely and the required service is performed to ensure the best possible performance from your machine.

We urge you and your operators to become fully acquainted with your TBX machine and follow the advice contained in this manual. As new operators are introduced to the machine, ensure they are given access to this information. Familiarity can lead to complacency towards matters of safety, which must be guarded against. You will receive confirmation of your Warranty Registration directly from TBX. If you are unable to contact your dealer for any reason, please do not hesitate to contact TBX directly.

CHECK SHEET

Review the below basic checklist points with the equipment owner and ensure the owner understands each point. Check off each point as done. This is only basic information and is not intended to replace detailed instructions in manuals, decals, videos or relevant safety regulations.

Operator safety depends on the operator and how well he or she follows the machine’s safety guidelines provided in the owner’s manuals, warning decals, start-up/operator videos and relevant safety standards.

EQUIPMENT INSPECTION

To ensure safety and optimum performance, always inspect the machine before and after each use. All inspections/service should be done with the ignition key removed and, in your possession, and after all moving parts have come to a complete stop.

INSPECTION CHECKLIST

☐ 1. No damage to fan blades, fan vanes or fan duct.

☐ 2. No damage to transmission. Fan brake functions correctly.

☐ 3. Boom transport pin removed.

☐ 4. Stabiliser legs undamaged, all locking pins and clips are present.

☐ 5. Soft ground pads for each stabiliser leg.

☐ 6. Hydraulic oil level ok. Cap secure.

☐ 7. No damage to controls or leakage of hydraulic fluid. No damage to electrical system or broken wires.

☐ 8. Boom lock installed and functional.

☐ 9. Check fan motor fuel and oil levels.

☐ 10. No fuel, battery acid or oil leakages.

☐ 11. Remove all dust form the air cleaner dust-cap.

☐ Explain to the customer the importance of the Prestart and where to check the below.

FIgure 2.1 Walk Around Inspection Diagram

PRESTART INSPECTION

☐ Leakage, check all surfaces for leakage of oil, fuel or battery fluid.

☐ Inspect the machine does not have any damage including all structural components.

☐ Ensure all labels are clean and legible. Replace any missing or damaged decals and labels.

☐ Add fuel to the fuel tanks as necessary.

☐ Check hydraulic oil level and add if required.

☐ Check stabiliser legs and pads are suitable for ground conditions (Towable only).

MACHINE FUNCTION CHECK

The machine must not be operated until the inspections have been carried out. This is for the safety of the Operator and the machine.

Follow the instructions in the Operators Manual and set the machine up to carry out testing. Ensure all 4 support legs are extended and positioned correctly, level the machine with all 4 stabiliser legs prior to any testing or machine operation on the towable units.

☐ Check raise and lowering of boom (ensure all 4 support legs are extended and positioned correctly, along with the chassis being level first) and lock the boom in the boom safety stand (Towable only).

☐ Check the boom safety stand engages correctly and the boom safety switch is fully engaged.

☐ Check the machine will not crank and start if the boom safety switch is stowed in the down position. Explain the safety requirements to the customer.

☐ Check the machine slews fully clockwise and anti-clockwise throughout the desired rotation or oscillation range. (Make sure the machine is clear of any obstructions throughout the desired rotation or oscillation range).
