Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Abigail Rosebud. She had wavy brown hair and a frog in her pocket. Well, today, Abigail and Stink, that’s the name of the frog in her pocket, were off to see Abigail’s new friend — Juice.

Juice was a hummingbird who lived next door to Abigail at the home of Miss Bonita Flores. Miss Flores was a very kind lady who spent all summer long planting the most beautiful flowers in her yard. They were truly amazing!

So today, Abigail Rosebud and Stink were off to find Juice. It didn’t take long! He was buzzing merrily around the pot of hanging flowers on the Flores’s front porch. Sipping. Buzzing. Sipping.

However, when Abigail looked up, there were EYES glaring back at her!

Simultaneously the raccoon jumped out of the hanging basket and straight onto Abigail’s HEAD!

“Umm… at Miss Flores’s house.”

Abigail answered truthfully.

“Did she say you could have it?” Mom questioned with the grumpy face like maybe Abigail had borrowed it without permission.

“Honestly! Miss Flores said it looked cute on me, and to tell you she said hello. So, H-E-L-L-O!”

And then she turned to Abigail and said, “Honey, did you show Blake your cute new hat?”
