Thoughtful Danish design
The two new module series HWAM 5500 and HWAM 5600, and the HWAM I 40/56 fireplace insert series, have all been designed by Sørig & Jacobsen and developed with heat and architecture in mind. In all the designs, function and aesthetics go hand in hand with respect for your home decor.
HWAM I 40/56 is an insert that you can place freely in any spare corner of your home, bringing the look of a discreet built-in fireplace to life. The word timeless is often misused, but this particular series really is timeless, designed to integrate easily into both new and older properties. The handle has a discreet design and is almost invisible under the door. It also features a flexible spring that makes the door easy to open, despite its small size.
The HWAM 5500 and HWAM 5600 module series comprise different elements and can be supplemented with tall and low modules, and with storage space for firewood, fire lighters and similar, or for displaying your favorite decor. You also get the option of adding heat storage stones in most models, so that the heat is released over a longer period of time.
The three new HWAM series have a clean design with focus on the fire and the architecture, allowing you to enjoy the fire with as few but elaborate details as possible.

Heat storage distributes the heat over time
Enjoy the benefit of heat storage in your wood-burning stove. Adding heat storage stones to your wood-burning stove improves its ability to retain and release heat over time once the fire has gone out. This effect is achieved by using materials with a high thermal mass that absorb and store the heat from the combustion. When the woodburning stove is varm, the heat accumulates in the material and is gradually released into the room, even after the fire has gone out. This prolongs the heating effect and makes your wood-burning stove more efficient and economical to use.
The airwash system keeps the glass pane clean
All HWAM models come with airwash systems that direct the warm air down onto the inside of the glass pane from the top, a technique that reduces soot formation. The benefit for you is that you get a lovely view of the flames and you don’t need to clean the glass pane as often.
Convection
All HWAM wood-burning stoves are convection stoves. This means that the woodburning stove gives off heat very quickly after being lit. The heat is moved by a natural air flow and not only by the heat radiating. The result is a pleasant indoor climate and an evenly distributed temperature throughout the room. Another benefit is that the outer casing of the wood-burning stove never gets particularly hot. This means you can place other furniture in close proximity to the wood-burning stove.
The fresh air system ensures air for the wood-burning stove
If you live in a newer property, it will probably be so airtight that it can cause challenges when you fire up the wood-burning stove. However, this issue is avoided with a fresh air system. By installing the fresh air system, the wood-burning stove receives air from the outside, and you achieve better combustion and easier lighting.
The
air
is controlled for you
All HWAM wood-burning stoves come with HWAM® Autopilot™ as standard, helping you achieve excellent combustion. As the temperature rises and falls in the combustion chamber, a bimetallic spring expands or contracts, thereby regulating the air supply. When the fire is about to die out, the damper opens again automatically and you can either restoke the fire or let it die out.

and architectural features to achieve the most seamless and aesthetically pleasing look for your room. The modular stoves are available from a height of 950 mm.
