Purchasing your VELUX Blinds and accessories STEP 1 Check your window code Every VELUX Roof Window carries a unique data plate that details the type and size of the window (see diagram below). Check your window’s type and size. No measurements are needed.

Data Plate This specifies both the window model and the size. In these examples the model is GGL, however, the size code varies depending on the age of your window – e.g. S06, 606 or 4.

Electric Flat Roof Blinds Our Electric Flat Roof Blind is a Pleated Blind that is designed specifically for our new Flat Roof Window (CFP/CVP). It uses a remote control to regulate the heat and light levels entering the room.

Conversion Kit (KUX 100) Electric Blinds are recommended for electrically operated Roof Windows. If you’d like to use this blind on a Fixed Flat Roof Window (CFP) you will need a conversion kit (KUX 100).

Solar Powered Awning Blinds

It’s not just light we control It’s heat. And that’s exactly where our attractive Awning Blinds come in. These unique external blinds are ideal for keeping rooms cool and reducing the heat of the sun on hot summer days.

When closed, they can reduce the amount of heat entering a room by up to 90%.

The benefits don’t end there. Their design also means they allow a pleasant diffused light to enter the room as well.

Each blind is easily installed internally (so no need to get out onto the roof) and it rolls up out of sight under its casing when not in use.

Manually operated Awning Blinds (MHL)

Cord operated Awning Blinds (MAL)

Perfect for easy to reach windows. This awning blind can either be rolled fully up or fully down. To roll down the blind, rotate the window 180° and fix to the hooks on the bottom of the sash.

The MAL Awning Blind can be raised and lowered to any position in the window with a cord.

Electric Awning Blinds (MML)

Solar Awning Blinds (MSL)

Perfect for windows that are out of reach to open by hand, the Electric Awning Blinds puts heat control at your fingertips.

The Solar Awning Blind comes complete with a battery operated remote control.

They can be fitted in minutes and can be controlled from anywhere in the room.

It comes with a fully charged battery, which is good for up to 600 operations (about a year’s worth) even if there’s no sun for recharging.

Electric Awning Blinds are recommended for electrically operated Roof Windows. For manually operated Roof Windows, choose a Solar Awning Blind.

Solar Blinds (MSL) are designed for manually operated Roof Windows.

For electrically operated Roof Windows choose Electric Blinds.

Accessories Accessories for hard-to-reach situations Pole Control Don’t stand on a chair to open and close your VELUX Roof Window or to operate your blind. Do it the easy way with this handy pole. It allows you to open GGL and GGU Centre-Pivot Roof Windows. The pole can also be used to open the blinds when fitted with the correct adaptor.
