PROGRA

MATCH DAY WEDNESDAY, 8TH NOVEMBER THE NEW LODGE, 7:45PM

HUTTON FC

C F S U S A G E P Y A STANW Stanway Pegasus Football Club was derived from the most successful Sunday League side in Colchester history, AFC Pegasus, who won an incredible 64 honours over a period of 30 years with Paul and Heather Booth at the helm for every one of them. AFC Pegasus in turn was created from Pegasus Youth in 1985 who had a great history in the Colchester Youth League for many years dating back to the early 1970’s with the founder being Mr Peter Peters. When Paul and Heather stepped aside a new era was about to begin and the transition from Sunday League to Saturday football for the senior team in 2018 opened the door for the return of the youth set up at the club. With passion and drive to succeed than ever before, both off and off the pitch, we were ready to start that new era. With various youth and men’s teams in full swing, our vision is to be one of the biggest clubs in Essex that has men’s teams competing at a high level of non-league football who lead the way for the youth set-up. This youth set-up will progress through their age groups starting at U6’s, all the way through to U18’s. This is what we call ‘The Pathway’. Although player development is a key aspect of our philosophy, the aim for the youth is to enjoy playing football for Stanway Pegasus and looking at the talented home grown youth squads we have, boys and girls the future is looking very good under the guidance of our Head of Youth Ray Turner. The Club prides itself hugely on former and current players plus youth managers taking up major roles within the Club whilst surrounding ourselves with people we trust. Soon to be added to the Pegasus family were the women, girls and recently the Vets as the club proudly sits at over 30 teams have been the fastest growing Club in the area and success Is no stranger with many league titles and promotions along with cup success the Club Is blossoming into a huge success story and long may It continue. Senior football for the men’s first team was secured for the first time at the end of the 2021 /22 season with the team gaining promotion from Essex and Suffolk Border Premier League where they went unbeaten winning the league with 98 points from 34 games scoring 126 goals in the process. They also beat Tiptree Heath 1-0 in the League Cup Final at Little Oakley. Max Booth was the Division’s top goal scorer with 34 (26 league and 8 Cup) 2022/23 Season saw the team in the Eastern Counties Division One South where we narrowly lost out on promotion at the first attempt via a penalty shoot out after a 2-2 draw against Sporting Bengal. Although heart breaking at the time looking back and what a debut season for the club in senior football. Callum Griffith was the Division’s top goal scorer with 32 (29 league and 3 Cup / Play offs) Rosi Webb has been a revelation for our club during this period being the Men’s 1st team manager while also playing in the successful ladies’ teams she is Mrs Pego and quite rightly getting the accolades she deserves. 2023/24 Season has seen the Men’s first team moved sideways from the Eastern Counties Division One South division to the North division while the Men’s Reserve team are competing in the Essex and Suffolk Border League’s Premier Division. The ladies have been just as successful in a short period of time with winning the Essex County Woman’s Premier League piping by 2 points local rivals Stanway Rovers to seal back to back promotions that now see them competing in the Eastern Region League for the first time as the club looks to push on in all fronts. A Ladies reserve team started up and joined the Essex County Woman’s League Division 3 for the 2023/24 season.

N O T T U H B U L C L L A B T O O F Hutton Football Club is an FA Charter Standard Community Football Club. Being part of our community is important to the Club. We expect everyone connected with the Club to be respectful, disciplined and responsible. Our young players will learn the game in a positive environment. Hutton FC is a Club, a team, a family not individuals. HUTTON FC HISTORY The club was founded in 1928 and has been prominent in local football since that time with cup winner’s medals dating back to 1932. A key factor in the continued success of Hutton Football Club is the progression of young, local players. The senior teams played in the Mid Essex League until 1989 when progression was made into the Essex Intermediate, now the Essex Olympian League. The Club expanded rapidly after 2005 with the merger of Hutton FC and Hutton Medway FC (established in 1969). The Club now has 70 teams based in our local community. The current club house has been at the Polo Fields for over 50 years, two previous buildings being destroyed by fire, and the second one having been struck by lightning. In 2010, the Clubhouse was vandalised and set on fire but has now been repaired and enhanced thanks to a large grant from Sport England. Recent history has seen more rapid developments at the club. The Football Association awarded Hutton FC with Charter Standard Community status which is the highest accreditation a club can achieve. In 2005, when the award was granted, there were only nine clubs in the whole of Essex with this status. The Club is very proud to have been awarded Community Club of the year twice by Essex County FA. The club has been encouraging girls to come and play for a number of years, and in 2005 the first official Hutton girls’ team was formed and since then, our Ladies 1st and reserve teams have been added to help with progression. The Club has been involved in a European Tournament played against professional clubs' youth teams, with outstanding facilities. The Clubs are; Saint Ingbert (Germany), Rumelange (Luxembourg) and Zandhoven (Belgium). The tournament celebrates its 50th year in 2025. Our senior men’s 1st team won the EOFL premier division 2022/23 season gaining promotion to the NLS, playing in the Thurlow Nunn League South. WHAT 'S SINGHY SAYING?

MATT SINGH, FIRST TEAM MANAGER After a very good performance last Wednesday, we wanted to carry the momentum into Saturdays game. Unfortunately the weather prevented this so our lads had the weekend off. Wednesday was one of our best attacking performances all season. I felt we controlled the game very well and took most of our chance’s. It has been nice having Matt Price back around the lads and bring further experience to the final third. It was important to get Webby off the mark again and I have a feeling he will be looking to crack on from here. The final mention from the game goes to Bish (Josh Boxall). He come straight into the squad and performed very well. I felt he created a lot but also worked hard off the ball. We look forward to getting him fully fit and firing. Tonights opponents are doing well in their division and score plenty of goals. We will have to be organised from the start. We will be looking to carry on our good home form, but at the same time offer some minutes to those who need them. It’s a chance for one or two to make a mark for Saturdays fixture. Up the tons!

Hutton FC has one of the most established and respected girls sections in Essex. The section is comprised of a thriving Wildcats group for our newest female ballers and 11 teams ranging from Under 8s through to u18s. Our current Under 8s manager Stuart Hart has already taken one team through the age ranges to under 18 and is now starting again! Our girl's teams usually start playing in mixed leagues in the Brentwood Community Youth Football League before moving on to play in the Essex County Girls League. The overriding ethos for the section is to create a safe and enjoyable environment for our girls to enjoy their footballing journey, and to create lasting memories and friendships. As well as looking after teams within the section we also have 3 of our girl's section managers involved as Trustees of Hutton FC and as such the needs of our female players are reflected equally in all decisions made regarding the direction of the club. We currently have a number of openings for girls in years 6, 7 and 8 so are keen to welcome players either new to the sport or experienced. As the section has grown so too has our need for coaches and managers, so if you'd like to get involved don't hesitate to get in touch!

Hutton FC U18 EJA v Brentwood Town 2nd Round Magnus Cup (Mid Week) On a torrential night of wind and rain we faced a tough test against our local rivals Brentwood Town. Conditions were challenging for both sides, but we managed to get a foothold in the game. A good cross by John Fadiya was met by the head of Charlie Bowler, which gave us a 1-0 lead. John was also the provider again, he got brought down in the box and a penalty was awarded. Up stepped Callum Cathline to slot it home and make it 2-0. We took our foot off the gas and Brentwood came back into the game, scoring from a free kick outside of the box. The game was 2-1 and evenly posed at half time. In the second half Hutton dug deep and defended resolutely against mounting pressure. With a few minutes remaining, Hutton hit Brentwood on the counter, Ollie Noble ran the length of the pitch to slot home with a cool finish. The game finished 3-1, excellent team performance against a talented side. We look forward to the next round at New Lodge. Hutton FC U18 EJA Vs Billericay Town FC U17 Friday 24th November, 8pm kick off.
