HUTTON FC

C F T S E R O F Y R NEWBU Founded in 2003 by good friends John Hassan and Marc Wakley, Newbury Forest started out as a Sunday league side. Made up of a small group of friends who just wanted to play regular organised football together. It soon became apparent though that they all wanted a lot more for the Club. After a few years of getting the infrastructure in place, a Reserve team was added in 2006, followed by a third team in 2007. And so, the expansion began. John's coaching background, having achieved his UEFA A Licence and working at Watford Football Club’s Academy, together with being a Director of the coaching website Inside Soccer, resulted in a very distinct playing philosophy which was instilled within the Club from the start. Players were coached regularly to adopt the playing style still in effect to this day. Newbury Forest teams will always focus on possession and ball retention, developing play from back to front with expansive and creative play that players find a joy to be part of, and that fans enjoy watching. Whilst not always successful, and certainly technically demanding on the players, the individuals who join the club know what the ethos is. They players both enjoy and have the desire to play the game in our own brand of style. DOING IT WITH THE KIDS Newbury Forest Colts were established in 2007 and the Club began with just 2 teams at U9 and U10 age groups. This has grown considerably over the years with teams being played at every age group. Training sessions take place during the week and every Saturday and the Club is fortunate to have enthusiastic, qualified coaches to deliver these sessions. Some who are current senior players working with our youngsters. It cannot be stressed what a tremendous asset it is to the Club to have senior players coaching the junior players. It creates a clear pathway for the youth teams and individual players to progress into the senior teams in the future. Alongside the expansion of Newbury Forest's youth teams, the seniors were also taking huge strides forwards. Having repeated success in the South Essex Sunday Football League, winning successive promotions and league titles together with league cup wins, the Club felt it was time to make the step up into playing more competitive games in Saturday football. The goal? To have at least one side competing in the National League System [NLS [Step 7 and above]].

C F T S E R O F Y R NEWBU GREAT PROGRESS MADE In 2008 the First Team entered the Romford & District League and has not looked back since. The hugely significant appointment of First Team Manager Leo Connolly led the side into winning the league in the first season and gaining entry to the Essex & Suffolk Borders League Division One. Immediate success followed again as the team won promotion to the Premier Division. This achieved the Club’s short-term goal of playing in the NLS. As well as the league success and progress into the NLS, the Club has also won the Essex Saturday Premier Cup twice, in 2012 and 2014. And now for the first time in the Club’s history, it is now competing at Step 6 in the NLS after being accepted into the new Thurlow Nunn Eastern Counties Division One South for this season. The Club’s style of football has gained a rapid reputation for being crowd pleasing and exciting, and the Club main aim for the First Team is to push as high up the NLS as possible. Alongside Leo, the Club also made another signing of huge significance. Ron Dangerfield, our current Secretary/Chairman has a wealth of experience working in professional football. His knowledge, skills and expertise around successful football club management and administration has given Newbury Forest the strong foundation upon which to continue its growth and continued success. NEWBURY FOREST GIVE BACK AS WELL Over the years Newbury Forest have supported the Downs Syndrome Association in football events, and in July 2011 the Club hosted the inaugural 24-hour football match to raise funds for this great cause. Newbury Forest's GoFor24 challenge gained lots of local media attention and attracted over 700 kids plus more than 500 adults to the weekend of activities. A total of £5000 was raised and is now an annual event held in several countries around the world. ONWARDS AND UPWARDS The future is very bright for Newbury Forest. Senior success, youth team expansion, and annual events make the Club a significant presence in the local community. Quite an achievement for a Club less than twenty years old. An achievement that the Club hopes will continue for a long time.

N O T T U H B U L C L L A B T O O F Hutton Football Club is an FA Charter Standard Community Football Club. Being part of our community is important to the Club. We expect everyone connected with the Club to be respectful, disciplined and responsible. Our young players will learn the game in a positive environment. Hutton FC is a Club, a team, a family not individuals. HUTTON FC HISTORY The club was founded in 1928 and has been prominent in local football since that time with cup winner’s medals dating back to 1932. A key factor in the continued success of Hutton Football Club is the progression of young, local players. The senior teams played in the Mid Essex League until 1989 when progression was made into the Essex Intermediate, now the Essex Olympian League. The Club expanded rapidly after 2005 with the merger of Hutton FC and Hutton Medway FC (established in 1969). The Club now has 70 teams based in our local community. The current club house has been at the Polo Fields for over 50 years, two previous buildings being destroyed by fire, and the second one having been struck by lightning. In 2010, the Clubhouse was vandalised and set on fire but has now been repaired and enhanced thanks to a large grant from Sport England. Recent history has seen more rapid developments at the club. The Football Association awarded Hutton FC with Charter Standard Community status which is the highest accreditation a club can achieve. In 2005, when the award was granted, there were only nine clubs in the whole of Essex with this status. The Club is very proud to have been awarded Community Club of the year twice by Essex County FA. The club has been encouraging girls to come and play for a number of years, and in 2005 the first official Hutton girls’ team was formed and since then, our Ladies 1st and reserve teams have been added to help with progression. The Club has been involved in a European Tournament played against professional clubs' youth teams, with outstanding facilities. The Clubs are; Saint Ingbert (Germany), Rumelange (Luxembourg) and Zandhoven (Belgium). The tournament celebrates its 50th year in 2025. Our senior men’s 1st team won the EOFL premier division 2022/23 season gaining promotion to the NLS, playing in the Thurlow Nunn League South. WHAT 'S SINGHY SAYING?

MATT SINGH, FIRST TEAM MANAGER Finally we are back at home in the league! We have had so many away matches already this season! It will now be nice to get back to our home pitch where we had such good form. There have been a few ups and downs over the past month or so but those games that we have grabbed the 3 points in have been based on strong all round performances from the team. We have altered the squad slightly and welcome a few new faces. One thing we have missed recently is our own supporters as it does make a big difference! Lets hope tonight is a good one. Up the tons!

Hutton FC has one of the most established and respected girls sections in Essex. The section is comprised of a thriving Wildcats group for our newest female ballers and 11 teams ranging from Under 8s through to u18s. Our current Under 8s manager Stuart Hart has already taken one team through the age ranges to under 18 and is now starting again! Our girl's teams usually start playing in mixed leagues in the Brentwood Community Youth Football League before moving on to play in the Essex County Girls League. The overriding ethos for the section is to create a safe and enjoyable environment for our girls to enjoy their footballing journey, and to create lasting memories and friendships. As well as looking after teams within the section we also have 3 of our girl's section managers involved as Trustees of Hutton FC and as such the needs of our female players are reflected equally in all decisions made regarding the direction of the club. We currently have a number of openings for girls in years 6, 7 and 8 so are keen to welcome players either new to the sport or experienced. As the section has grown so too has our need for coaches and managers, so if you'd like to get involved don't hesitate to get in touch!

Hutton FC's new ground at Chelmsford Road, Shenfield, will finally be played on by our teams this season 2023/24. This marks the culmination of 8 years hard slog for Club volunteers that have battled through Planners, Highways, Football Foundation and COVID. The ground will be our Youth Hub as we seek to bring the club's teams together to play at a central venue. This will help us hold tournaments and other fundraising events. The ground will have a car park and modest club house. Our plans are to develop the site further over the next few years. If you are interested in assisting the club to take this project forward, contact Kevin: kevin.lorkins@btinternet

S R O S N O P S OUR HUTTON FC WOULD LIKE TO SAY A HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL OF OUR CLUB AND PLAYER SPONSORS...
