Starting at 9 am we will have all kinds of fun, food and festivities for your enjoyment.

Names of children who complete the program will be displayed in the children’s Department. Studies have shown that children who read throughout the summer are better prepared for the new school year each Fall. FOR

C HILDREN ’ S S UMMER R EADING P ROGRAM Starting May 26th, children began to sign up in the Children’s Department for the “Be Creative” Summer Reading Program. Children will receive a watercolor set after reading 10 books or reading for 10 hours. (Prereaders can be read to and earn a similar reward.)

“Master the Art of Reading”: Reading Program for Adults 18+ Registration began at the Adult Circulation Desk May 26. For each item that you read May 26—August 8, fill out a form for a chance to win one of our weekly prize drawings. Remember, the more you read, the greater your chances are to win!

P IRATE N INJAS ( READ ?)! CALLING ALL YA’s!!!!!! Beginning on May 26th , come and register for the Teen Summer Reading Program “Pirate Ninjas (Read?)!”. At the end of the program there will be a party on Thursday, July 30th, 2009.

Our library is among the first in the country to offer its users free "Wowbrary" email alerts that showcase the library's newest items each week. The alerts feature the latest bestsellers, movies, music CDs, audio books, children's titles, cookbooks,
