AP Scholars Master College-level Coursework Based on the results of their Advance Placement® exams last spring, 24 Hutchison girls received AP Scholar Awards. Fourteen of these girls are among last year’s graduates who are now enrolled in their freshman year of college. Cameron Cofield ’11, Sophie Davidoff ’11, Kelsey Gossett ’11, Llewellyn Hall ’12, Wilson Helmhout ’12, Elizabeth Jones ’12, Garland Kruse ’11, Chandler Reece ’11, and Sally Wynn ’12 received AP Scholar Awards. Carolyn Dellinger ’12, Jae Hechinger ’11, and Amelia Sims ’12 were named AP Scholars with Honor, and the following 12 girls earned AP Scholar with Distinction Awards: Mary Elizabeth Kakales ’12, Jenny Lee ’11, Kelley Guinn McArtor ’12, Claire McMullen ’11, Mary Mitchum ’11, Teresa Morrissey ’11, Caroline Orr ’12, Claire Pendergrass ’11, Amy Pickens ’11, Sarah Sherman ’11, Rebekah Straton ’12, and Isabelle Todd ’11. Amy Pickens ’11, who sat for nine AP exams, also received the National AP Scholar Award.

National Merit Scholarship Corporation Recognizes Seniors Head of School Dr. Annette Smith joins Hutchison seniors (from left) Mary Elizabeth Kakales, Allison Blankenship, Caroline Orr, and Kelley Guinn McArtor, all recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. Based on their junior year PSAT scores, McArtor and Orr earned National Merit Semifinalist status, Kakales was named a National Merit Commended Student, and Blankenship became a National Achievement Semifinalist. Senior Meagan Thornton (not pictured) was named a National Achievement Outstanding Participant.
