Check for worn seals on meter cartridges, worn seals can cause lower pressure and disrupt product flow.

Running too high down force puts extra wear on gauge wheels & discs. Only run enough pressure to keep rockshaft level.

Missing or broken seed boot springs can cause product to leak from the seed boot. Ensure there is good contact on disc.

MOBILE APPS FOR YOUR SEEDER ConnectMobile John Deere’s Connect Mobile, a mobile application, compatible with an Apple® iPad® that helps the operator monitor job quality during seeding operations. Connect Mobile also has a common user interface that makes it easy to use between different pieces of John Deere equipment. The iPad is utilized in the cab and works in conjunction with the GreenStar 3 2630 Display and 4600 CommandCenter or 4640 Universal Display. SeedPlus™ GoSeed has now become SeedPlus™. GreenStar™ Rate Controller helps you accomplish rate control and map-based prescriptions; Rate Controller Dry has the capability of operating a dry box with up to four product bins and spinners.

RATE CONTROLLER 2000 The John Deere Rate Controller 2000 aids in field documentation, map-based prescription applications, and overlap control when used with John Deere Section Control activation.

Simultaneously manage the application of up to five different products, liquid or dry, and have increased section control capabilities when making those applications. Customers also have the ability to simultaneously apply liquid fertilisers, along with other inputs such as herbicides, insecticides, or granular products, to reduce the number of field passes and improve operational productivity.

Why upgrade to the John Deere StarFire™ 6000 Receiver?

GREATER ACCURACY: The John Deere StarFire™ 6000 Receiver is an enhanced replacement for the StarFire™ 3000 Receiver and expands on the value that precision agriculture growers have come to expect from StarFire™ products. The StarFire™ 6000 Receiver implements an improved antenna, the latest in Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) signal processing technology, and a differential correction signal. This technology adds up to improved performance and uptime as well as lower cost of operation when paired with precision agriculture systems such as AutoTrac™ assisted steering system and John Deere Section Control. Accuracy improvements are as follows: • • •

SF1 on a 6000 receiver will give you +/- 15 cm horizontal pass-to-pass accuracy, compared to +/- 25 cm on a 3000 receiver.

IMPROVE UPTIME WITH MULTIPLE STARFIRE™ SIGNAL TRACKING The StarFire™ 6000 and StarFire™ 6000 Integrated Receivers simultaneously track correction signals from up to three StarFire™ correction satellites. The receiver tracks and uses correction signals from all StarFire™ satellites in view and intelligently chooses one that delivers the best performance. When the receiver moves into an area where the primary StarFire™ signal is blocked, such as near a tree line, the receiver automatically switches to an alternate StarFire™ signal (if visible) to help maintain accuracy and performance.

Compare this to the previous StarFire™ 3000 Receiver that was only capable of tracking one StarFire™ signal at a time and could wait up to four minutes to initiate the switch to the next available signal.

The retrofit kits include: Seed boot - A narrower, tighter fit to the disc results in less soil throw for better seed-to-soil contact and extended wear life.

Press wheel - Narrower and more flexible press wheel improves overall seed-to-soil contact for more even emergence, plus upgraded double-row ball bearing extends service life.

SEEDING PARTS METERS, ROLLERS, AND TUNING RINGS FOR JOHN DEERE AIR SEEDERS Use the low meter roller for seeds such as flax, canola, and alfalfa. The medium roller is best when planting wheat, barley, canola, and small soybeans up to 1/4 inch in diameter and with medium rates of fertilizer. The high rate roller is for high rates of fertilizer and large soybeans bigger than 1/4 inch in diameter. The very high rate roller is best used when planting barley and oats with beards, large seeds such as chickpeas, and with very high fertilizer rates.

Fine tuning rings reduce the amount of product available to meter for increased accuracy.
