Kapil Dev raises questions on India’s team selection after first Test against Kiwis After the debacle in the first Test against New Zealand, Indian cricketers have been criticized for their approach by fans and experts. Former Indian captain Kapil Dev joined the scene and raised questions on team selection.

The veteran asked why KL Rahul was not included in the squad. He compared with his times and shared disappointment on KL Rahul’s exclusion. “I do not understand. When there are so many changes made, it does not make sense.

He further criticized the management and team selection. What shocked him that there is no permanent place for anyone in the national Indian side and that can affect the form of the players. “If we analyze this match critically, well, I do not understand how one can make so many changes. There is a new team in almost every match. No one in the team is permanent, if there is no security over your place, it will affect the form of the players.”
