Our beloved Aqa Moula Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin (TUS) performed iftetah of the new MSB Dubai School in 2018, and we began the new academic year with this azeem barakat. Aqa Moula’s (TUS) Qadam Mubarak brought soul and infused life into our beautiful building. Since then, our hallowed halls stand testimony to a plethora of activities, achievements, accolades, assemblies, and of course, academics. With the years 3-11 having moved to the new building, the little ones also enjoyed the luxury of increased space and comfort in the founder building complex.

There is so much to share with you about the year that was! This Yearbook brings together a summary of everything that happened and we hope you will enjoy reading it, as much as we enjoyed compiling it. To add to the excitement, you will find a few quick questions sprinkled across the pages.

Banswara

Meet

2019

Students of MSB Dubai participated in the 7th MSB International Athletic Meet held at Banswara, India. 22 MSB schools from around the world participated in this event which had athletic disciplines ranging from track events to team sports.

Our talented athletes, who had trained rigorously for the Meet, reached the nals of all the track events in which they participated, and brought home gold, silver and bronze medals (a total of seven). We were pleased to be placed 7th amongst all the schools.

Events Graduation Day

As per MSB tradition, Year 10 hosted a send-off for the graduating class of 2019. The Graduation Day was themed F.R.I.E.N.D.S and was a blend of humorous entertainment, emotional moments and a tongue-incheek award ceremony, followed by a buffet dinner.

We wish our dear graduates the very best for the future.

MUN Our students from Years 8-10 participated in two Model United Nations Conferences: The MUN at Delhi Private School Dubai and the Dubai Scholars MUN. It was an enlightening forum where they could discuss, debate and resolve world problems, representing countries and agendas assigned to them. In the MUN@DPSD, our pupil Ruqaiyah Khomosi of Year 9 won the & Best Position Paper” award in her committee - General Assembly 6 under the agenda “Criminal accountability of UN peacekeepers on mission”, representing Japan.

Workers Day Appreciation Assembly Date: 01.05.19 After the excellent response of the break sale, the students of year 8 conducted an appreciation assembly on 1st May, (the International Workers Day) to honor the entire support staff of the MSB family including the support staff at the junior school campus. The culminating activity of the TLC project was through an assembly, where the students enacted skits on duties and chores of our diligent support staff. At the end, the students of year 8 gave them a token of appreciation which was collected from the proceeds of the break sale.

Students, teachers, admin department and the entire MSB staff got together to felicitate our support staff and the happiness of each and every face was priceless.

Sportsmanship reigned supreme at the Annual Sports Day, celebrated with much zeal and excitement.

Students of Years 3-11 competed in sprints, relays, sack races, obstacle races and eld events.

The ‘Best March Past Trophy’ and the overall ‘Champions Trophy’ were awarded to the Yellow House, and Green House was the runner-up.

Other highlights from the day included lighting the athletic torch, salute to the Chief Guest by the March Past teams, an energising equestrian display, gymnastics and loads of cheering!
