Species Natural History Account Family: Liliaceae Scientific Name: Camassia Quamash Common Name: Camas The Camassia Quamash, commonly known as the Camas flower, is a Willamette Valley native bulb that was important to the indigenous people in the region, in addition to being an important plant for other habitats. In this essay, I will address the Camas plants cultural history, as well as its ecological value in the Willamette Valley. I will also convey how to support this species in urban areas around the Willamette Valley.
