HOST’S WELCOME Welcome to the Human Resources Leaders’ Summit, held for the very first time on the beautiful grounds of this gorgeous five-star resort, Cape Sienna, in Phuket, Thailand. Not too shabby, right? For this first-ever exclusive summit, we wanted only the best for our handpicked attending delegates, so we could really ensure these few days were fully optimised for top-level mindshare among some of the best and brightest in HR from around the region (and further afield). The modern-day human resources leader has a lot on their plate. Not only are you required to oversee and implement a total people strategy to grow and strengthen a successful organisation, but you are expected to do it in a world where change is the only constant, talent is becoming tougher to find (and pin down) and business leaders are counting on you to guide them when it comes to people management and human capital development in fiercely competitive and booming industries. As part of this summit, we’re covering the topics that are most pertinent to you – such as leadership, HR transformation, the role of today’s CHRO, harnessing HR technology, developing a winning EVP, staying competitive by better utilising data in decision-making, compensation and culture, and much more. Essentially, the spotlight on HR is brighter than it has ever been. We believe your biggest concerns, issues and challenges are best addressed in an arena such as this summit, where senior-level thought leadership and facilitated peer-to-peer networking can help you take your discussions to the next level. Also, it’s not often we all get to relax at a resort like this in between work, which is a nice perk! I sincerely hope you enjoy your time with us here. I know I am looking forward to getting to know you all, and your biggest HR concerns, better over the next few days. Rebecca Lewis Editor Human Resources

It’s great to have you here. Enjoy!
