Abortion has been legal nationwide in the U.S. since 1973 and we continue to struggle with all of the complications this pregnancy intervention claims to "fix." In determining when a person becomes a person, science is clear—human life begins at the moment of fertilization. By five to six weeks of development, when surgical abortions begin to take place, a human's heart is beating.

Abortion is a brutal procedure that involves tearing a human fetus limb from limb—or worse. In the United States, these procedures take place all the way up until birth. Despite claims or stories about women who "needed" to have an abortion in their 3rd trimester, the procedure is not "medically necessary." There are alternative birth interventions available such as C-sections. Additionally, abortion can cause lasting complications for both women and men; long-term psychological trauma is not uncommon. There are alternative to abortion and many resources to help both women and men journeying through an unplanned pregnancy. Thank you for taking the time to read this magazine.
