CAREER PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT COURSE This course is available to undergraduate Humanities students registered in Level II or above. Students will learn how to utilize their education and skills toward future career success. They will identify effective strategies to analyze job postings, create effective applications, ace interviews, network and be successful in the workplace. APPLIED HUMANITIES COURSES Courses giving upper-level students the opportunity to gain valuable experience by applying skills and knowledge acquired in the classroom to a work environment, while gaining credit towards their degree. THE ART OF LEADERSHIP Courses designed to immerse senior students in a structured mentorship relationship with other students who are new to McMaster. Includes an in-class component in which students study the foundations of leadership, fostering self-awareness and an understanding of others. HUMANITIES STUDY ABROAD Spend all or part of your third year studying in a different country. McMASTER UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH AWARDS An opportunity to receive support to cover 15 weeks of full-time research-based activity during the summer. HUMANITIES ESSAY PRIZE COMPETITION Awarded for outstanding essays written for courses in the Humanities.

Within the faculty, the academic advising staff interacts with students in a variety of settings, evaluating their needs and teaching them how to navigate the higher education system. We work with students to develop and implement individual plans for the purpose of achieving educational and life goals.

We will pair you with one of our advisors who will support you from the moment you are admitted to McMaster until you graduate.
