Welcome to the new Hull Independent Cinema programme for July to September 2017. Once more we have a great selection of the best new-release drama, documentary, horror, comedy, animation and more, with foreign language films from Japan, Greece, Denmark and Germany alongside the very best of independent English-language film. As ever there’s plenty more alongside our regular programme: film is at the centre of this year’s LGBT50 celebrations in the Pride in Hull Film Festival; hidden gems come to Hull with the Leeds International Film Festival Audience Favourites; the wonderful world of short film for whatever you want to pay with Short Film City Hull; and the story of the English Civil war is told through a new partnership with Hull History Centre. And of course our friends at Cult Cinema Sunday and WeWatchFilms provide their own eclectic mix of cult movies and classics back on the big screen. It all adds up to another great season of films that you won’t find anywhere else in the city. Why not join us to Discover Something Different?
