What do I need to enrol on this course? There are no formal entry requirements for this course, however you will need: • To have a successful interview • A Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check • An interest in coaching football
VRQ Certificate in Sport – Level 1 (Football)
Where will it lead? You could continue to study for a Level 2 qualification where you can specialise in the coaching and instructing of fitness activities. You could also gain employment within the sport and leisure industry. How long does it last? One year This course is for people entering the sport and leisure industry for the first time, who will be working under supervision with limited responsibility. You will study a range of units which will include: • Introduction to the sport and leisure industry • Introduction to working with customers and colleagues • Following safe working practices • Introduction to health, lifestyle and the human body • Assisting in the planning, delivery and evaluation of sport and leisure activities • Introduction to sports • Introduction to exercise and fitness Qualifications Gained Football Association Level 1 Award Football Association Level 2 Leadership Award Employability Award
