TOTAL TRANSPARENCY Hublot has capitalised on challenges and created 500 Big Bang Unico Sapphire models cut straight from sapphire, without losing sapphireâ€™s unique and rare character. This is a first. Sapphire had never previously been cut "on such a large scale". The exterior of the watch is now invisible, so that the construction and movement of the timepiece are now fully visible. HUBLOT KEEPS TIME WITH CHELSEA FC IN LA On July 28, 2016, Hublot joined together with the world renowned Chelsea FC to celebrate the team’s arrival in Los Angeles for their North America tour, and the unveiling of the Classic Fusion Chronograph Chelsea FC – the Official Watch of Chelsea FC. The team itself kicked off the event arriving in a customized blue London double-decker bus before greeting Angeleno fans and media. The team honored their visit by leaving their footprints – and goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois’ handprints – in a cement cast (ala Hollywood Walk of Fame) which will be sent to the Chelsea FC museum in London.

HUBLOT INVITES CHINA TO GSTAAD The 8th Hublot Gold Cup took place at an altitude of 1008 m, on lawns spanning almost 40,000 sqm. the three days of competition featured 24 chukkers, 4 teams, 16 players, 120 horses, 30 petiseros, a cumulative handicap of 55 and a crowd of 6,000 spectators. For the first time in 20 years of the tournament, Hublot invited its partner – the famous Tang Polo Club – to take to the field in the Bernese Alps. It was the perfect occasion to launch its Classic Fusion "CHUKKER" model, which measures the length of each period of play.

Since its inception, from Ronaldo to Pelé, 70 great names have already left a permanent trace of their footwork in bronze. For its 14th edition, the Golden Foot Hublot Award recognised the career of Gianluigi Buffon, who won 72% of the one million votes.

A tribute to the FXX K On the roof of the Ace Museum, in this beautiful month of September, VIP clients were comfortably ensconced in Ferraris. They enjoyed a sneak preview of a world premiere, the first animated film from Hublot, a joint production that has been created by Digital Domain, world leaders in action movies and visual effects. On the bill was a 1200 HP hybrid supercar, the FXX K, and a superwatch with a 50-day power reserve. A world record for Hublot.

MP-05 «LAFERRARI» SAPPHIRE While the original design of the MP-05 "LaFerrari" was created to show off the beauty of its movement, its alter ego – with its case carved out of sapphire – is a movement which appears to be literally suspended in mid-air. All the details of this record-breaking movement can be admired from every angle. Stemming from an 18-month development process and weighing 53.5 grams, the sapphire case is made of 7 components machined from 7 blocks of sapphire and involved over 600 hours of work.

Taking place for the first time in North America at the world famous Daytona circuit, the event brought together all competitors from the Ferrari Challenge European, North American and Asia Pacific series to battle for the World Championship. HUBLOT HAS SANG BLEU IN ITS VEINS Celebrated during Fashion Week in London in February, the collaboration between Hublot and Maxime Buchi initially took the form of a glass and metal sculpture. The founder of the Sang Bleu London tattoo studio asserted his singularity through the tattoos that have established him as an influential figure in fashion. A graphic designer and typographer trained at the ECAL university of art and design, he was initiated by tattooist Filip Leu into the mysteries of this ancestral art.

MIAMI ART BASEL The week of “Hublot Loves Art” celebrations during Art Basel Miami was kicked off with a reception at the Hublot Bal Harbour Boutique honoring its latest partner in the art world, Tristan Eaton, where the Classic Fusion Aerofusion Concrete Jungle was presented. Later that evening, Hublot supported World AIDS Day with a “Collectors Dinner” and charity auction hosted at the home of Loren & JR Ridinger, welcoming David & Victoria Beckham to Miami. The brand also activated an exclusive 3-day “Sang Bleu Pop-up Tattoo Shop” at the Hublot Galerie, Design District Boutique, with the interior converted into an art exhibit showcasing works by “Flore.” Other activities included a second “Collectors Dinner” hosted with Haute Living cover stars, Philippe Starck and Sam Nazarian, as well as the “Hublot Annual After Party” with a special performance by Fat Joe and annual Black Jaguar White Tiger charity brunch at Bagatelle Miami Beach the next day. Best Buddies International is a volunteer program creating opportunities for friendship, employment and leadership training for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

For the second time, Hublot opens its doors to the public for the "JournĂŠes ParticuliĂ¨res" set up by the LVMH group. More than a thousand of watch enthusiasts were welcomed to visit the two watch manufacture buildings, passing through the looking glass and better understanding how Hublot watches weave their magic spell. From R&D, production of the components for Manufacture movements and watchcases, assembly workshops and the strap fitting, which is the final stage of the manufacturing process.

HUBLOT LOVES NEW YORK CITY Hublot celebrated the Grand Opening of its New York flagship store. The dramatic new facade, lit with LEDs and faceted with powder coated black aluminum panels, rises up to 21 meters and stretches across 139 square meters. These impressive dimensions earn it the status of the brandâ€™s tallest boutique in the world and its largest in the USA.
