PIMFA CASS Working Group

It has been suggested that PIMFA should start a CASS Working Group, with the purpose of discussing and sharing information on interpretation of the CASS rules, responding to CASS queries from members and to raise questions as a group with the FCA, as well as sharing knowledge and experience of CASS audits and the issues and common themes highlighted in the CASS audit reports.

We would like to convene the first meeting of the CASS Working Group early in 2023, with the frequency of further meetings to be decided by the group.

If you, or the person responsible for the CASS Oversight function at your firm, would be interested in joining this working group, would you please email KevinS@pimfa.co.uk

PIMFA AI Working Group

The FCA has recently issued 'DP22/4: Artificial Intelligence' in which they share their thinking on the potential benefits and risks relating to use of AI in financial services, the current regulatory framework, whether additional clarification of existing regulation may be helpful and how policy can best support further safe and responsible AI adoption.

The deadline for responses to the DP is 10 February 2023.

Some PIMFA firms are already using AI as part of their day to day operation and others are looking at ways of using it. Responding to this DP gives us an opportunity to influence the FCA's thinking on how they treat AI from a regulatory perspective.

We would like to convene a working group, initially to look at and respond to DP22/4 but possibly to continue beyond the response if members see fit.

If you or a colleague would be interested in joining our AI Working Group, please email kevins@pimfa.co.uk
