Two-piece empty capsules HTC Health has imported empty capsules from China for onward sale to trade customers since 2005.

We only work with the very best capsule manufacturers, each one fully accredited and GMP compliant. Our Chinese manufacturing partners enjoy a distinct cost advantage over UK/European sourced product, while still delivering highest quality product. We in turn, operate as a low overhead company, so we are able to pass on the benefit to our customers.

In addition we offer our customers the benefit of local UK stocking, using a major independent warehousing and distribution agent. This allows us to provide next day delivery on most orders.

Our standard range of empty capsules Gelatine capsules Made from raw material sourced from Rousselot, one of the largest suppliers of high quality bovine gelatine in the world. Sizes from #00 to #5.

HPMC capsules Vegetarian capsules made from plant fibres, best suited for encapsulation of moisture sensitive powders. Sizes from #00 to #4.

Pullulan capsules The finest quality vegetarian capsules, made from water soluble natural polysaccharides, essential for encapsulation of product that is sensitive to oxidation. Sizes from #00 to #4.

All our capsules are available as clear or coloured, subject to order size. Proprietary capsules, customised to individual client’s requirements, can be manufactured on request, with lead times as short as 10 weeks.

Gelatine Capsules Top quality gelatine capsules compatible with all types of filling machines.

The raw material for our gelatine capsules is sourced from Rousselot, the largest supplier of high quality bovine bone gelatine. The gelatine is then processed at a manufacturing site owned by our supplier, located in Yushe County in Northern China. Our supplier has more than 30 years experience of manufacturing gelatine empty capsules and operates in accordance with GMP standards.

Each capsule is composed of a cap and body made from gelatine and auxiliary materials. Gelatine used in the manufacturing process of our capsules is extracted from bovine bone, for good homogeneity, mechanical strength and stability.

Our capsules are designed to provide: - High degree of consistency and stability allowing high-packing efficiency.

- Four locking points in a unique pre-locking ring to prevent separation of the capsule during transportation.

- High reliability closure on all types of filling machines.

- Reduced incidence of split capsules and dented ends.

Gelatine capsules supplier Over the past 30 years our supplier has provided gelatine empty capsules to nearly 1000 pharmaceuticals companies. With an annual production reaching 32 billion capsules, the company is regarded as the largest of its kind in China. In order to make sure that all capsules are of highest quality, our manufacturing partner conforms to strict GMP standards and carries out periodical quality audits to their raw material suppliers. HPMC Capsules Non-GMO, USP grade capsules, suitable for vegetarian applications.

HPMC capsules, an abbreviation from hypro-mellose (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose), are vegetarian capsules made from plant fibres. Our capsules are made from non-GMO, USP grade HPMC, and are best suited for vegetarian applications.

HPMC capsules manufacturer Our vegetarian capsules are sourced from a state-of-the art manufacturing facility in Shanxi province in China. Our manufacturing partner has sold two-piece capsules to the nutraceutical and healthcare industry for the past 12 years. During this period, the company has developed several proprietary processes, covered by patent, which ensure consistency and quality.

Benefits of our HPMC capsules HPMC capsules are renowned for their long storage life and are essential for the encapsulation of moisture sensitive powders. The capsules offer enhanced absorption and digestion of protein, fat and carbohydrate, which gives them technical characteristics that traditional gelatine capsules cannot match.

Our HPMC capsules are made from natural wood pulp and are free from animal products. HPMC capsules are widely recognized in many countries as a valid vegetable alternative to gelatine capsules. Our HPMC capsules are strictly non-toxic vegetarian, kosher and halal certified.

HPMC capsules work excellently with hydroscopic products as they contain 60% less moisture compared to standard gelatine capsules. The capsules remain non-brittle and stable during processing. There are no cross links with aldehydes.

Our HPMC capsules have a very similar appearance and dimensions to high quality gelatine capsules, with the same level of resiliency and flexibility. They run very well on all makes of high speed automatic encapsulation machines, therefore, no adjustments are necessary for customers who use gelatine capsules in their operations. They are also compatible with GRAS and traditional formula coating.

Pullulan Capsules Highest quality vegetable Pullulan capsules are best choice for oxygen sensitive materials.

Pullulan is a naturally occurring, edible, bland and tasteless polymer, which is sourced from fungi grown on a starch substrate. Pullulan is currently included in the US as well as Japanese and EU Pharmacopoeia. Pullulan capsules are widely used in food and beverage industry as they provide an excellent oxygen barrier.

Advantages of Pullulan Our Pullulan capsules are the highest quality vegetable capsules and they offer a number of unbeatable benefits: Brilliant appearance Our Pullulan capsules are brilliantly clear and shiny, which makes them visually attractive.

Chemically inert Pullulan is chemically inert and does not react or cross link with the contents of the capsule.

Excellent oxygen barrier Pullulan capsules are the best choice for oxygen sensitive materials. Pullulan film is approximately 300 times stronger oxygen barrier than HPMC and 9 times stronger than gelatine film of the same thickness.

Strength Pullulan capsules are stronger than gelatine capsules and run perfectly on high speed automatic encapsulation machines with over 99.9% run rate.

Environment friendly and health conscious Pullulan is derived from vegetables and water soluble natural polysaccharides. There are no toxic chemicals involved in growing, harvesting and extracting pullulan, which makes it a completely natural and environmentally friendly material.

Manufacturing facilities HTC Group has over 30 years experience of importing products from China. During this time, we have established longstanding relations with most renowned Chinese manufacturers.

Our partners use the most advanced technology and all their manufacturing processes comply with strict GMP and ISO regulations. Over the years they have invested to develop state-of-the-art production sites, which use the best available machinery imported from Germany and Japan.

All manufacturing facilities as well as areas, used to store raw materials, intermediate products, quarantined products and finished capsules are equipped with special lighting, ventilation systems, insect prevention and fire fighting facilities. The temperature and humidity in the production sites is controlled by air conditioning purification systems with regular environmental monitoring. Water used during manufacturing process is purified by the same system and its quality is strictly controlled according to the standards of Chinese Pharmacopoeia 2010.

Quality management Quality control is the crucial part of the manufacturing process, which is why our suppliers undertake the following quality management modes: â—ŚQuality Assurance - ensures that personnel closely monitor the online products in order to reduce or avoid mass deviation and abnormal condition within the process. â—ŚQuality Control - detects and analyzes raw materials, packing materials, intermediates and finished products based on internal quality standards, even more strict than statutory standards.

To prove the highest standards of production our manufacturing partner has successfully passed BRC quality certification in December 2012; NSF, ISO9001, ISO14001 in May and June 2012; American FDA record in October 2012; Drug Registration Certificate of State Food and Drug Administration (GYZZ F20120002) in September 2012; OHSAS 18000 Certification in April 2013.
