As summer vacation begins, it's time for some serious fun! But let's also take this opportunity to delve into the rich tapestry of our Hindu culture and explore the profound concept of an organization, or 'Sangathan'.
In all aspects of life, organization is key to success. Whether it's an individual, a family, a function, or even a football team, being organized leads to better performance. Throughout history, organized Hindus have made significant positive impacts on the world. Our prayers reflect our desire to organize ourselves to create a peaceful and values-driven world.
Moving from individual to collective thinking, from acquisition to sharing, and from selfishness to selflessness is crucial. The Sangh emphasizes these qualities, and our Shakhas play a pivotal role in nurturing them. Regular participation in Shakhas helps us internalize these values without even realizing it. Over time, we become agents of change within our community, standing out and inspiring social transformation.
At the heart of Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh's activities lies the Shakha a weekly gathering that includes games, yoga, exercises, and discussions. It begins with raising the Bhagwa Dhwaj, symbolizing our guiding principles, and concludes with the Vishwa Prarthana, a universal prayer. These sessions aim to foster the holistic development of every participant be it a Swayamsevak, Sevika, Kishor, or Bala building self-confidence and imparting invaluable life values.The informal and subtle form of education and training is based on the principles of “Sanskar” (values of life), “Sewa” (selfless service) ,“Sangathan” (community spirit).

MY FAVORITE TEACHER
Teachers are the one who make kids smart. My favorite teacher is Ms. Williams and she teaches me English, She is my fourth grade teacher. My teacher has great literature knowledge. She tells many stories and explains many concepts and even teach us in a fun way so each and every student understands it. Whenever a student doesn’t know something, then the teacher helps them.
Instead of being boring, she focuses on more practical knowledge, My teacher has a respectful attitude and empathy. She has a variety of ways to teach different learners She also focuses on social aspects and emotion that is very important for a good teacher My teacher treats everyone equally and makes us feel special. i love the way she motivates students and gives inspiration by giving examples of great leaders that help us to set a higher goal to achieve, as she sees future leaders in us. I even love her quotes now she says “Today’s readers are tomorrow’s leaders”. Because of my teacher, I love to read books and novels. i believe a good teacher is a candle, it consumes itself to light the way for others. My teacher helped us to embrace ourselves by accepting who we are and achieve goals through planning, practice and perseverance.

MY FAVORITE TEACHER
My favorite teacher is my ELA teacher Her name is Ms Hollway (pronounced hallway) Her class is my favorite because it’s always fun and she can make things that aren’t fun like essays, enjoyable.
She puts up with the annoying people in the class well and is patient with them. She also always play fun games like blooket and jeopardy. She gives out candy and prizes, when you aren’t annoying.
Qualities I want to learn from her is patience, because she’s always puts up with the annoying people. I also want to learn to be able to make un-enjoyable, more enjoyable.
That’s why Ms. Hollway is my favorite teacher and these are the qualities I want to learn from her
MY FAVORITE TEACHER
My favorite teacher is Mr. Borderlon. He he lets us do whatever, is funny, teaches us, and expects a lot from us.
First, Mr Borderlon lets us talk during class and assignments He also lets us have partner work often
Second, he is very funny. He makes harmless jokes about people that make us all laugh. Like in a math problem with barbies, he said that a boy in my class had the barbies.
Third, he teaches us the best out of the other teachers. We all learn well because of his ways of teaching.
Lastly, he expects a lot from us. After a lesson, in other lessons he sneaks stuff from past lessons expecting us to remember it. In conclusion, this is why I like Mr.Borderlon the best.
GURU VANDANA
Recently we celebrated Guruvandana on may 11th, 2024 at First Colony Middle School It was very fun filled event My friends from Tanaka Shaka and myself had an opportunity to participate in a fun/educational play in front of all our teachers
At Guruvandana the kids had the opportunity to invite their teachers to thank them for all their support and encouragement during their teaching career. Guruvandana is a celebration for all of our teachers. The best part of Guruvandana is that we got to even give our teachers gifts! That is my experience with my teachers and my friends and Guruvandana.
In the play that I was talking about in the beginning of this paragraph I had an opportunity to be dr. Sarvepalli RadhaKrishna. He was a kid with a very poor family and he had a very big interest in knowledge so his cousin had a good and a decent life. So he was providing to RadhaKrishna with books and other educational materials then he studied hard and he became the president, isn’t that mind blowing! That is the last of my of my story.
