Turkish interior design combines traditional elements with contemporary aesthetics, drawing inspiration from the country's rich cultural and historical legacy.

TILES THAT WHISPER TALES

The walls are adorned with Iznik tiles—each one a miniature masterpiece. Hand-painted ceramic tiles tell stories of ancient civilizations, and love blooming under moonlit skies. Their intricate patterns, reminiscent of Ottoman palaces, create a mesmerizing backdrop. When you run your fingers over the raised motifs, You feel the pulse of centuries past.

WARM HUES AND GOLD: TERRACOTTA, BLUES, AND GOLD ACCENTS—LIKE SIPPING SAHLEP BY THE BOSPHORUS.

CUSHIONED NOOKS: LOW TABLES, PLUSH CUSHIONS—WHERE STORIES FLOW OVER ÇAY AND BAKLAVA. MUSIC, MOSAIC, AND MAGIC: NEY FLUTE MELODIES, MOSAIC FLOORS TIME SLOWS, HEARTS CONNECT.

"Rooted : A Sanctuary of Resilience"

In the design of our refugee Center, we embrace the concept of "Rooted , " where every element is thoughtfully crafted to cultivate a sense of belonging, resilience, and hope. Inspired by the strength and resilience of those seeking refuge, our design concept aims to provide a warm and nurturing environment that goes beyond mere shelter. The overarching theme is a celebration of rootedness, emphasizing the importance of connection to one's cultural identity and the fostering of a supportive community within the home. Cultural diversity is not only acknowledged but celebrated through intentional design choices that honor the unique backgrounds and experiences of each resident.

Zoning

Spatial Arrangement: Communal Living

The layout promotes communal living, with open and inviting spaces that encourage interaction and a sense of shared experience. Flexible furniture arrangements and communal dining areas facilitate a sense of unity, fostering a supportive atmosphere where residents can come together to share stories and build lasting connections.

Cultural Nooks: Personalized Spaces

Incorporating designated cultural nooks within shared spaces allows residents to express their individual identities. These nooks serve as mini-galleries, adorned with artifacts, artworks, and textiles that residents bring with them, creating a tapestry of diverse cultural expressions within the larger community space.

Natural Elements: Bringing the Outdoors In

The inclusion of indoor plants, natural light, and materials reminiscent of nature brings an organic, rejuvenating quality to the space. This connection with nature is designed to promote well-being, calmness, and a sense of renewal among the residents.

Functional Design: Adaptable and Inclusive

Recognizing the diverse needs of residents, the interior design is adaptable and inclusive. Thoughtful placement of furniture and fixtures considers accessibility and comfort, ensuring that the space is welcoming for individuals of all ages and abilities.

BIOPHILIC DESIGN

In designing this doctor’s office, we embrace the principles of biophilic design to create a space that reconnects patients and staff with the essence of nature. Our aim is to foster an environment that promotes healing and well-being through the integration of natural elements, materials, and views into the built environment. By incorporating aspects such as living green walls, organic forms, and natural lighting, we strive to enhance the innate human-nature connection, reduce stress, and improve cognitive function and creativity. This space is not only a testament to the therapeutic power of nature but also a commitment to sustainable design practices that prioritize the health of both individuals and the planet.

CITY RESEARCH

Redding is the economic and cultural capital of the Shasta Cascade region of Northern California and the county seat of Shasta County.

Redding lies along the Sacramento River, 162 miles (261 km) north of Sacramento, and 120 miles (190 km) south of California's northern border with Oregon. Its population is 95,542 as of 2022, up from 93 611 at the 2020 census.

CITY RESEARCH

The Iconic Sundial Bridge

One of Redding’s most celebrated architectural landmarks is the Sundial Bridge. Designed by renowned architect Santiago Calatrava, this bridge symbolizes the city’s commitment to both art and engineering. Completed in 2004, the Sundial Bridge spans the Sacramento River and serves as a pedestrian pathway, connecting the north and south areas of Turtle Bay Exploration Park

Design Features of the Sundial Bridge:

Cantilever Spar Cable-Stayed Design: The bridge’s unique design features a cantilever spar cable-stayed structure. Unlike symmetrical cable arrangements, it uses a cantilever tower set at a 42-degree angle, loaded by cable stays on only one side. This architectural choice creates a dramatic visual impact.

Length and Salmon Protection: The bridge stretches 213 meters across the river without touching the water, preserving the salmon spawning grounds beneath. Its translucent structural glass deck glows aquamarine at night.

Gateway to the Sacramento River Trail: The Sundial Bridge serves as the gateway to the 35-mile-long Sacramento River Trail, connecting Redding to the Shasta Dam.

CONCEPT

-GO WITH THE “FLOW”

The "Flow" is a dynamic and harmonious design concept inspired by the natural, continuous movement found in water, wind, and organic growth patterns. It embodies fluidity, connectivity, and seamless transitions, creating spaces and experiences that feel both natural and effortlessly integrated. This theme emphasizes the importance of movement and change, reflecting the ever-evolving nature of life and environments.

Cave-inspired interior design is a fascinating concept that draws inspiration from the natural forms and features of caves.Rough textures and natural finishes evoke the rugged beauty of cave walls. This historical inspiration harks back to the shelters our ancestors found in natural caves.

ADA SUITE

Our vision for this bedroom is to seamlessly blend vintage elegance with modern comfort. Inspired by the timeless allure of the Contemporary Victorian era, I have incorporate rich textures and a refined color palette. The flow has been achieved through architectural elements like crown molding, wainscoting, and arched doorways. Soft, neutral tones will create a soothing ambiance, while carefully curated furniture pieces will strike a balance between opulence and simplicity. The result is a harmonious space that invites relaxation and celebrates the best of both worlds

SOLUTIONS

Clear Pathways: There are wide, obstruction-free pathways within the room. Guests with mobility aids (such as wheelchairs or walkers) should be able to move comfortably.

Accessible Furniture Placement: furniture layout to allow easy access. For example, enough space around the bed for wheelchair users to transfer comfortably.

Grab Bars and Handrails: Grab bars in the bathroom near the toilet and shower. Handrails along corridors and staircases are essential for guests with mobility challenges.

Visual Contrast: Contrasting colors for elements like door handles, light switches, and outlets. This helps guests with visual impairments locate them easily.

Accessible Bathroom Fixtures: Roll-in showers with fold-down seats, adjustable showerheads, and leverstyle faucets. These features accommodate various needs.
