Step By Step Guide To HRMS Implementation HRMS, which is also commonly known as Human Resource Management System or Human Resource Information System (HRIS), is the combination of Human Resources and Information Technology. The process of HRMS implementation is critical and mostly takes about six to eight weeks of time to implement when steps are followed properly. Key steps to effective implementation of Human Resource Management System include: Research & Development Phase Research and Development is the first of step of HRMS implementation. This phase usually takes 1-2 weeks of time. This one to two week phase involves Business Process auditing. HR professional and top managers take important decisions regarding what steps must be taken to automate the desired processes. Later, a timeline of subsequent steps is established. Installation Phase The installation phase does not take much time and is usually done within a couple of days. This phase requires the expertise of an IT professional or consultants. Proper installation of some products requires specific knowledge and skillset which is usually done by the concerned vendors. Data Conversion Phase This phase takes days or weeks to complete and usually depends on the ease of data conversion in the new system, its compatibility with the old system and the amount of time data needs to get manually entered.
