I am Aanchal Sharma, a Software Development Engineer, at Akto.io., by profession and a creative, innovative person by heart With the help of my creativity and knowledge of technology, I aim to build technologies and solutions which would ease the life of masses. I am immensely fond of speaking at events, meet ups about technologies and am associated with communities such as Google Developers Groups, Women in Data Science, Girl Script Foundation, Women Who Code, SheCodes, etc Delivered talks and trainings in various engineering colleges in Mumbai.

Q: What drove you to succeed, and what do you think made you stand out for this award?

I believe that if we put our heart & soul into anything which we want to achieve then eventually opportunities or ways to reach that goal starts to show up and it is our responsibility to snatch those opportunities at the right time. This is my mantra to success which helps me always. I am a firm-believer of giving back to the society. I have been involved in building tech communities where I can share my knowledge and motivate others about the growing field of technology I am immensely fond of speaking at events, meet ups about technologies and am associated with communities such as Google Developers Groups, Women in Data Science, Girl Script Foundation, Women Who Code, SheCodes, etc. Delivered talks and trainings in various engineering colleges in Mumbai. I keep on exploring new stuffs and believe that one should never stop learning, try hands on tasks which will bring you outside your comfort zone and I think this made me stand out !

Q: Who has been your biggest inspiration or mentor in your journey, and how have they influenced your approach to work and leadership?

In my every walk of life, I have been fortunate to meet some brilliant minds who have inspired me immensely At various course of events, when I did not believe in my capabilities, they trusted me with responsibilities and it helped me to grow and shine in my career. The various managers with whom I have worked in my job tenure have always inspired me I have learnt life skills from them. Working with patience and alertness can resolve any major issues and this is a very important skill which I have learnt from my leads They have taught me to deal with problems as well as people efficiently Apart from managers and team leads, my Mom has been my biggest inspiration and supporter. Her support has made me capable of whatever I am today

Q: What advice would you give to other young professionals who aspire to achieve similar success?

When I see the world around me, I feel that there are many young bright minds in this world who lack guidance and look for a path to help them achieve their dreams and I really desire to assist them in any way I would advise that never be comfortable in your comfort zone and try exploring new domains. You might realize that there are interesting and challenging areas other than what you are working today, which can help you to grow more ‘Be a Jack of All and Master of One’ This will help you to groom yourself for your professional life as knowledge gained in never wasted.

Q: How do you balance ambition and personal growth with maintaining a healthy work-life balance?

I try to time-box things which means assigning a stipulated period of time to tasks according to their priority Many a times mobile, internet and social media make us distracted and we tend to spend much more time towards a task than required because of distractions Hence it is important to take up a task, time-box it and then work towards completing it without any disturbance or distraction. This will help to finish off work on time and we will eventually have more time towards our family and friends which are as important as our career ☺

Q: Looking ahead, what are your goals for the next few years, and how do you plan to continue growing and making an impact in your field?

My number one goal is to keep on enhancing my technical skills to become capable of managing and building large scale applications I desire to become efficient enough to handle teams and guide them well in creating some wonders in the field of technology Learning and Implementing is my motto to continue growing

Q: What drove you to succeed, and what do you think made you stand out for this award?

I’ve always viewed HR not as a siloed support role, but as a strategic business function That belief drove me early on. From exploring smelter shop floors and descending into deep mines to taking rounds of the runway and taxiway experiencing first-hand how aircraft are guided between gates & runways and manufacturing sites, these front-line experiences grounded my understanding of how people and processes intersect, teaching me that HR strategies must be rooted in realworld business realities

Unlike many, I never formally studied HR, but rather than seeing this as an obstacle, I embraced it as a strategic advantage. Freed from traditional HR conventions, I applied a fresh, business-oriented lens to the role which gave me the freedom to approach the role with an unbiased view. I made it my priority to learn how the organization truly earns its bread & butter and align HR initiatives accordingly.

By staying grounded and business-aware, I’ve been able to craft HR strategies that truly resonate with business needs, enabling me to make a tangible impact and earn this recognition for aligning people strategy with business reality.

Q: Who has been your biggest inspiration or mentor in your journey, and how have they influenced your approach to work and leadership?

I’ve been privileged to learn from exceptional mentors, but two have profoundly shaped both my values and leadership style. From a very early age, my father (perhaps the most disciplined man I’ve ever known) taught me that integrity and ethics are non-negotiable.

He showed me through his deeds that when you set your mind to something, disciplined effort makes it achievable. Yet he also gave me the space to embrace setbacks and learn from them

Equally impactful has been Ms. Ruhie Pande, not just in her professional accomplishments, but in her mentorship of me. Watching her journey from a non-HR background to leading HR alongside functions like MarComm and CSR showed me the expansive potential of modern business leadership Her guidance taught me to think beyond traditional HR, embrace crossfunctional thinking, and lead with both empathy and strategic clarity

Q: What advice would you give to other young professionals who aspire to achieve similar success?

As you embark on your professional journey, my advice centers on four guiding principles: Stay grounded and humble understand how your work truly connects with business realities, from the shop floor to the boardroom, and remain eager to learn. Humility isn’t a soft trait; it builds trust, encourages feedback, and strengthens leadership credibility. Challenge assumptions avoid a narrow perspective Embrace curiosity by seeing challenges through your customers’ or stakeholders’ eyes. Fresh viewpoints often spark meaningful improvements & innovation and never be afraid to offer a different perspective. Prioritize your well-being avoid burnout by maintaining a healthy work–life balance; taking breaks, setting boundaries, and preserving space for hobbies aren’t indulgences, they are essential strategies for long-term effectiveness.

AILIA HASNAIN

INTERVIEW

Embrace unconventional paths don’t let nontraditional backgrounds hold you back I entered HR without formal training, yet being curious and committed made all the difference If you're driven and dedicated, learning will follow and doors will open.

Q: How do you balance ambition and personal growth with maintaining a healthy work-life balance?

I don’t believe in relentless hustling or traditional balance I subscribe to what I call an interval lifestyle: alternating between push phases and reset phases, similar to sprint training When ambition calls, I lean in fully, but never without a planned recovery Long gone are the days where productivity was judged by the hours clocked, today’s smart workplaces measure impact over inertia

That means leaning into high-energy moments for creativity and deep work, and deliberately letting go when energy wanes because energy, not time, is the real currency of high performance. I like to blend my personal and professional rhythms starting and ending my day with a non-work ritual (like micro-journaling or a solo walk) that keeps ambition fuelled by purpose, not burnout

Q: Looking ahead, what are your goals for the next few years, and how do you plan to continue growing and making an impact in your field?

My immediate goal is to deepen my expertise in strategic HR & catalyze transformation across HR, in a way that not only drives business results, but also nurtures growth in people, communities, and systems. I envision championing values-based innovation, anchoring decisions in purpose and people Beyond that, I want to make a holistic impact, ensuring my work uplifts not only my organization but also contributes to more ethical, sustainable business ecosystems

In practical terms, this means pursuing cross-disciplinary learning, building partnerships across functions, and using leadership not just to advance careers, but to create ripples that last longer than spreadsheets.

AKANKSHANAG

Q: How do you balance ambition and personal growth with maintaining a healthy work-life balance?

For Akanksha, balancing ambition with personal growth and well-being comes down to setting clear priorities and boundaries She believes that true success is sustainable only when one invests in both professional excellence and personal well-being She approaches this balance by being intentional with her time focusing on what matters most at work while also creating space for family, health, and self reflection She sees personal growth not as separate from her career but as complementary, where learning, travel, and mindfulness practices enrich her professional journey.

This balance allows her to stay motivated, resilient, and future-focused without compromising on well-being.

Q: Looking ahead, what are your goals for the next few years, and how do you plan to continue growing and making an impact in your field?

Her vision is to create workplaces that are innovative, human-centered, and impactful at every level

Q: What drove you to succeed, and what do you think made you stand out for this award?

What has consistently driven me is the belief that stories can shape perceptions, build trust, and inspire change. From the time I chose storytelling over the conventional path of law, I knew my journey would not be easy but it would be meaningful. That conviction has pushed me to take bold leaps, whether it was pivoting from journalism to corporate communications or transforming legacy organizations with fresh, digital-first narratives

What I believe made me stand out for this award is the ability to blend creativity with strategy I’ve never looked at communication as “just messaging” to me, it is about impact, backed by data. At UltraTech Cement, I translated complex, technical subjects into accessible narratives that humanized the brand. At BCCL, I turned a dormant LinkedIn page into a vibrant newsroom, drove a 35% improvement in Glassdoor ratings, and built leadership platforms that connected authentically with employees

Beyond metrics, what sets me apart is resilience the willingness to embrace ambiguity, learn fast, and keep pushing boundaries. This award, to me, is a recognition not just of outcomes but of that mindset: to create, to question, and to keep storytelling at the heart of transformation.

Q: Who has been your biggest inspiration or mentor in your journey, and how have they influenced your approach to work and leadership?

While I’ve had the privilege of working with remarkable leaders, I’d say my biggest inspiration has always been the people I work

with every day Colleagues from diverse backgrounds, each bringing their own stories, struggles, and strengths, have shaped my perspective in ways no single mentor could In HR and communications, I often sit at the intersection of many voices be it a young campus hire finding their footing, a midcareer professional balancing personal and professional transitions, or a leader driving transformation at scale. Listening to their journeys has taught me the true meaning of empathy and adaptability It has shown me that leadership isn’t about having all the answers it’s about creating spaces where every voice feels heard and valued

The diversity of people I engage with daily constantly reminds me that storytelling must be authentic and inclusive. Their experiences influence how I design campaigns, frame narratives, and even measure success not just in numbers, but in resonance.

So, while I don’t credit a single mentor, I credit the collective of people around me Their stories keep me grounded, inspire me to push boundaries, and remind me that leadership is not a position, but a responsibility to others.

Q: What advice would you give to other young professionals who aspire to achieve similar success?

My first piece of advice would be: don’t be afraid to take the unconventional leap. When I chose my career, it wasn’t the safe path, but it was the one aligned with my passion Success rarely follows a straight line it’s built on the courage to pivot, experiment, and sometimes even fail forward

Second, invest in both creativity and strategy. In today’s world, ideas need to be not just imaginative but also measurable Whether it’s a campaign, a project, or a pitch, back your

INTERVIEW

instincts with data and impact That balance is what makes your work stand out. Third, stay curious and keep learning. The world of work is evolving faster than ever technologies, platforms, and expectations change overnight. Upskilling, whether through formal education or self-learning, will always give you an edge

Finally, surround yourself with stories of people, of organizations, of change Listen deeply, because that’s where the real insights come from. And remember, success isn’t just about titles or awards it’s about the difference you make, the voices you amplify, and the legacy you leave behind. If you lead with passion, empathy, and resilience, success has a way of following

Q: How do you balance ambition and personal growth with maintaining a healthy work-life balance?

For me, balance isn’t about drawing rigid boundaries it’s about integration and intentionality I’ve always been ambitious and deeply invested in my work, but I’ve learned that sustainable success comes only when you also prioritize yourself

I approach this in two ways. First, by being mindful of energy, not just time. There are weeks when work demands more, and I give it wholeheartedly. But I also make sure to recharge whether it’s through reading, writing, spending time with family, or simply switching off from digital noise Those pauses often spark the creativity and clarity I need for work

Second, I focus on growth beyond the workplace. Enrolling in courses like Digital Marketing wasn’t just about career advancement; it was about fulfilling my curiosity and expanding my skillset. Personal

growth, I’ve realized, directly fuels professional excellence. Most importantly, I try to keep perspective. No campaign or award is more important than health and well-being Ambition is a long game, and it can only be sustained if you nurture both the professional and the personal self Balance, for me, is about honoring both with equal respect.

Q: Looking ahead, what are your goals for the next few years, and how do you plan to continue growing and making an impact in your field?

Looking ahead, my goal is to shape the future of corporate communications by making it more digital-first, human-centric, and datadriven. I believe communications today is no longer a support function it’s a strategic driver of culture, trust, and brand reputation I want to continue pushing that shift, both within my current organization and in the industry at large

In the next few years, I aim to deepen my expertise in areas like AI-driven content, employee experience design, and brand storytelling at scale. Experimenting with tools that personalize communication and amplify authentic voices will be a big focus I want to demonstrate how technology can be used not to replace human connection, but to strengthen it Equally, I aspire to mentor and build highperforming teams that think creatively yet measure impact rigorously For me, success is not just about personal achievements, but about creating ecosystems where others can thrive and grow

Ultimately, my vision is to contribute to making communication a true force multiplier for business where every story told drives trust, every campaign fosters connection, and every initiative adds long-term value for people and organizations alike.

Ankita Mehra is a renowned problem solver and leader in diversity and inclusion, with extensive expertise in employer branding. Q: What drove you to succeed, and what do you think made you stand out for this award?

What has always defined me is a simple belief: I never say no until I’ve tried a thousand ways to make it a yes. This philosophy has shaped me into a professional who doesn’t just deliver outcomes but also sets the right expectations with calmness, patience, and integrity.

Hard work and everyday learning have been my biggest companions I’ve always believed that every person you meet teaches you something and that curiosity to understand, explore, and absorb knowledge has pushed me to learn about every department and function around me Today, I’ve become the “walking corporate encyclopedia,” someone colleagues can approach with an Ask Me Anything.

What makes me stand out is not just problemsolving but being approachable, setting the right expectations, helping wherever possible, and accepting that success is never achieved alone it is always a collective journey.

Q: Who has been your biggest inspiration or mentor in your journey, and how have they influenced your approach to work and leadership?

I owe my journey to the people who shaped me

My parents taught me to stay grounded, no matter how high I soar.

My sister showed me that growth comes from never stopping the learning journey

My mentors, Gautam and Madhuvanti, instilled in me the value of growth with integrity and pure intentions

My manager, Rukhsar, has been my pillar of encouragement always giving me the green light to explore my ideas and helping me prepare for the future with

confidence

My best friend, Karishma, keeps me rooted with her reality checks, reminding me of the importance of honesty and selfawareness

All of them had one thing in common: they told me directly where I could improve, without ever shaking my confidence From one of my lowest phases in 2024 to becoming more confident and future-ready in 2025, their influence has been nothing short of transformative I cannot thank them enough words will never capture the depth of impact they’ve had on my life

Q: What advice would you give to other young professionals who aspire to achieve similar success?

1 Stay grounded

2.Remain curious.

3.Always ask yourself the “why” behind everything

4 Never stop learning

Success is not about shortcuts it’s about resilience, humility, and continuous growth

“I never say no until I’ve tried a thousand ways to make it a yes.”

Q: How do you balance ambition and personal growth with maintaining a healthy work-life balance?

I am fortunate to work in an organization that truly values work-life balance and backs it up with meaningful support, like the Employee Assistance Program But balance also requires discipline.

I consciously remind myself that my time and attention are my most valuable resources I carve out time for sports, travel, and my loved ones and that fuels me to return to work with energy, creativity, and clarity When I take care of myself, I show up as my best self at work

Q: Looking ahead, what are your goals for the next few years, and how do you plan to continue growing and making an impact in your field?

My goal is rooted in purpose Professionally, I want to keep learning, while staying authentic and true to my values. I aspire to give back more to the community, empower others, and build the kind of environment where everyone can bring their best selves to work.

For me, success is about achieving targets it’s about contributing with impact, delivering excellence to every stakeholder, and ensuring that every project carries the best version of myself At the same time, I want to live fully, to enjoy the journey, and inspire others to do the same

Ultimately, my vision is to lead with purpose, integrity, and joy and aspire to be a leader proving that leadership is not just about driving results but about inspiring growth, building trust, and leaving behind a legacy of empowerment

Anupriya is a people strategist with experience across India and Japan, having worked with leading organizations such as Google, Accenture, Hays Recruitment, and Biocon Biologics At Biocon, her work expanded from hiring to shaping the future of talent building succession plans, mapping career paths, and nurturing leadership programs. She is known for connecting human potential with business goals, weaving strategy with empathy Passionate about creating workplaces where people thrive, Anupriya continues to build environments where ambition and belonging go hand in hand, and where careers are not just grown but transformed

Q: What drove you to succeed, and what do you think made you stand out for this award?

If I look back at my journey, one theme runs through it all the belief that the right people can change everything. I didn’t stumble into talent acquisition; I grew into it because I was fascinated by the power of people to transform businesses Every role I took on, whether at Google, Accenture, Hays, or Biocon Biologics, taught me that recruitment is not about numbers it’s about unlocking potential and shaping futures. What makes me stand out, I believe, is this perspective: I don’t see talent acquisition as filling positions I see it as building legacies through succession planning, career mapping, and nurturing leaders of tomorrow. That sense of purpose is what drives me every day

Q: Who has been your biggest inspiration or mentor in your journey, and how have they influenced your approach to work and leadership?

Inspiration has never come from just one person for me; it has come from many corners. The leaders I’ve worked with across global organizations showed me the value of vision and strategy But equally powerful were the lessons I absorbed from colleagues people who demonstrated resilience, creativity, and the courage to grow. Watching teams thrive reminded me that leadership is not about directing from the front but about enabling from behind Over time, my mentors and peers alike shaped my approach to leadership: a balance of strategy and empathy, clarity and compassion That combination continues to guide me in every decision I make

Q: What advice would you give to other young professionals who aspire to achieve similar success?

If I could give one piece of advice, it would be this: don’t chase titles, chase impact. Every role no matter how small it seems at the time

has the power to teach you something invaluable. When I worked across India and Japan, I learned quickly that adaptability was just as important as skill Context matters, culture matters, and the ability to listen and adjust can make all the difference. Build authentic relationships, because often it’s the people you meet who shape your journey more than anything else And never shy away from challenges that feel bigger than you It’s in those uncomfortable moments that the real growth happens.

Q: How do you balance ambition and personal growth with maintaining a healthy work-life balance?

Ambition has always been my compass, but balance has been my anchor. I’ve learned that true success doesn’t come from pushing endlessly it comes from pacing yourself so you can go the distance For me, that means drawing boundaries when needed, making space for family, passions, and reflection, and reminding myself that growth isn’t only measured in promotions or milestones. Sometimes growth looks like slowing down, learning something new outside of work, or simply being present in the moment By giving equal weight to both purpose and pause, I’ve been able to nurture my ambition without losing sight of myself.

Q: Looking ahead, what are your goals for the next few years, and how do you plan to continue growing and making an impact in your field?

When I think about the future, I see it less as a career ladder and more as a journey of impact My vision is to deepen my role in shaping workforces that are not just future-ready, but also humancentered. That means building stronger succession pipelines, creating opportunities for leadership development, and designing employer brands that truly resonate with people Personally, I want to keep learning through new experiences, global perspectives, and mentoring others who are beginning their own journeys. My hope is simple: to help create workplaces where people don’t just work, but where they feel they belong, thrive, and see a future they’re excited about

Q: What drove you to succeed, and what do you think made you stand out for this award?

From the very beginning of my career, I’ve been fueled by a simple belief learning has the power to transform lives and businesses alike. At Infosys, I reimagined a 7-day onboarding program into a more effective 3+4-day format, delivering over 300 sessions to 25,000+ learners worldwide and consistently earning a 4 8 average rating. At project44, I built onboarding programs from the ground up for all levels in Asia, introduced India Enablement Programs, and rolled out global customer success enablement initiatives Now at Paychex, I’m streamlining process trainings for the BGDC unit across 20+ processes, delivering cross-skill sessions, and shaping strategy as a Global Learning & Development Specialist I believe I stood out because I’ve always treated learning design as both a science and an art backed by strategy, but always centered on people.

Q: Who has been your biggest inspiration or mentor in your journey, and how have they influenced your approach to work and leadership?

I’ve had the privilege of working with leaders who not only inspired me with their vision but also grounded me with their empathy One mentor in particular showed me that true learning happens when you understand the human behind the role That shaped my leadership style: listening deeply, adapting content to resonate with the learner, and fostering a space where people feel both challenged and supported.

Q: What advice would you give to other young professionals who aspire to achieve similar success?

Say yes to opportunities that scare you. Facilitate for an unfamiliar audience, take ownership of a complex project, or build something from scratch. Every stretch

experience is a growth catalyst. Focus on impact, not just activity and remember, the relationships you build along the way will often be your greatest assets

Q: How do you balance ambition and personal growth with maintaining a healthy work-life balance?

I see balance as a rhythm rather than a rigid schedule. There are seasons when I run at full pace to deliver big initiatives, and moments where I slow down to recharge, reflect, and create space for new ideas I protect personal time as much as I protect project deadlines, because sustainable ambition needs both drive and rest.

“My vision is to lead global learning transformations where every program is not just attended—but remembered, applied, and felt.”

Q: Looking ahead, what are your goals for the next few years, and how do you plan to continue growing and making an impact in your field?

In the near future, I want to amplify the reach and scalability of learning initiatives leveraging technology, data, and behavioral science to design programs that work across borders and cultures At Paychex, my focus is to continue streamlining and enhancing process trainings, strengthen crossskilling strategies, and create learning frameworks that directly drive business success. Long term, my vision is to lead global learning transformations where every program is not just attended but remembered, applied, and felt.

I don’t believe in following rigid nomenclature or a one-rule-fits-all approach HR is evolving faster than ever, and it demands flexibility, creativity, and empathy. What drives me is the belief that employees should not only feel valued but also see visible outcomes of their growth I focus on Talent Management as a whole, from hiring to engagement, ensuring each individual’s journey is meaningful and impactful.

What I believe makes me stand out is my ability to balance strategy with empathy, creating workplaces where growth is not just promised but truly experienced by every individual.

Q: Who has been your biggest inspiration or mentor in your journey, and how have they influenced your approach to work and leadership?

My biggest inspiration has been my mentors With the wealth of experience they bring, they have always led with conviction and a genuine belief in uplifting everyone around them. The empathy, resilience, and authenticity they demonstrate are qualities I deeply admire and strive to embody in my journey What makes them unique is that they don’t just guide you to adapt to situations, they push you into real challenges where you learn to think, navigate, and grow This approach has shaped my outlook on leadership: to empower others by creating opportunities for learning, resilience, and growth.

Q: What advice would you give to other young professionals who aspire to achieve similar success?

Stay curious and be ready to grind, because not all days will be as bright as the sun; some will be gloomy, and that’s okay There will be moments when you question your judgment, but don’t take it to heart. In our profession,

there’s rarely a clear right or wrong, it’s about doing what’s right for people and the organization. Stick to your roots, drive everything with purpose, and judge no one Success isn’t about having perfect answers every day, but about resilience, learning, and showing up with authenticity no matter how the day looks.

Q: How do you balance ambition and personal growth with maintaining a healthy work-life balance?

My ambition and personal growth go hand in hand, they are never in competition with each other While I constantly push myself to achieve more, I also acknowledge that some days can feel overwhelming. In such moments, I take a step back, gather my thoughts, and recharge, because pausing at the right time is not just important but essential for my well-being

For me, balance is not about doing everything at once; it is about recognizing when to slow down, reflect, and regain focus, so I can continue to grow with clarity, resilience, and purpose in both work and life

Q: Looking ahead, what are your goals for the next few years, and how do you plan to continue growing and making an impact in your field?

Looking ahead, my goal is to deepen my expertise in the areas where HR will be most challenged in the coming year from embedding AI responsibly in people practices to tackling talent retention in a gig-driven world and navigating hybrid work complexities.

But beyond strategy, what drives me is creating spaces where people feel truly valued, heard, and empowered to grow

Over the next few years, I aim to design datadriven yet human-centered solutions that balance technology, talent, and trust because for me, impact is about growth with meaning, not just numbers.

INTERVIEW

Q: What drove you to succeed, and what do you think made you stand out for this award?

My success has always been driven by purpose

What sets me apart is my ability to blend strategic thinking with emotional intelligence I don’t just fill roles I build futures Whether it’s delivering $2 37 million in gross margin through precision hiring or reducing offer dropouts with innovative engagement models, I’ve consistently aligned recruitment outcomes with business growth This award is a reflection of that mindset: a commitment to excellence, resilience, and creating impact beyond metrics

Q: Who has been your biggest inspiration or mentor in your journey, and how have they influenced your approach to work and leadership?

My journey has been shaped by a powerful blend of personal inspiration and professional mentorship

My mother, a trailblazer in social welfare and network marketing, instilled in me the values of empathy, resilience, and the power of human connection. My father, a hardworking entrepreneur, showed me what true dedication looks like he gives his heart to everything he does. His “never give up” attitude in the face of challenges continues to fuel my drive and perseverance.

Professionally, my biggest mentor has been Deepan Ravichandran, my manager and someone I work with very closely. He’s been more than a leader he’s been my backbone throughout this journey. Deepan consistently pushes me beyond my limits, encourages bold thinking, and stands by me through every challenge His leadership style marked by trust, empowerment, and strategic foresight has allowed me to evolve into a confident, outcomedriven talent partner He gives me the freedom to innovate and the support to execute, which has been instrumental in many of my key achievements Together, these influences have shaped a leadership philosophy that is bold yet grounded, empathetic yet results-oriented focused not just on delivering outcomes, but on creating lasting impact

Q: What advice would you give to other young professionals who aspire to achieve similar success?

Success isn’t just about skill it’s about mindset My advice: be purpose-driven, not position-driven

Focus on building relationships, mastering your craft, and staying curious Learn to see challenges as opportunities, Invest in personal branding, stay agile, and never underestimate the power of empathy in leadership Most importantly, measure your impact not just in numbers, but in the lives you touch and the trust you build When you align your values with your work, success becomes not just achievable but inevitable

Q: How do you balance ambition and personal growth with maintaining a healthy work-life balance?

For me, balance begins with clarity and discipline I’ve learned to prioritize what truly matters both professionally and personally by aligning my goals with my core values My ambition is fueled by purpose, not pressure, and I set clear, achievable milestones that keep me focused without feeling overwhelmed One of the key pillars of my routine is fitness I’m a passionate fitness enthusiast and make it a point to hit the gym every day This daily discipline not only keeps me physically fit but also sharpens my mental clarity, boosts my energy, and strengthens my focus. It’s my way of resetting and staying grounded amidst a demanding professional landscape. I also believe in continuous personal growth whether through learning, reflection, or meaningful connections outside of work. Creating boundaries, managing time effectively, and staying connected to my “why” helps me avoid burnout and stay motivated. Work-life balance isn’t a one-time achievement it’s a conscious, ongoing practice. And when your work aligns with your passion and purpose, balance becomes not just possible, but sustainable.

Q: Looking ahead, what are your goals for the next few years, and how do you plan to continue growing and making an impact in your field?

My goal is to elevate recruitment as a strategic, humancentered function across industries I aim to build scalable, data-informed hiring frameworks that reduce volatility and enhance candidate experience I plan to mentor emerging HR professionals, contribute to thought leadership, and drive diversity and inclusion at scale By embracing innovation rooted in empathy, I’ll continue to deliver measurable outcomes that fuel organizational growth My vision is clear: to be a catalyst for change in the talent ecosystem where every hire is not just a number, but a story of impact “I envision a future where recruitment is not just a function but a force for organizational transformation and human empowerment.”

Q: Who has been your biggest inspiration or mentor in your journey, and how have they influenced your approach to work and leadership?

’ve been fortunate to work with leaders and mentors who embody resilience, creativity, and empathy. Their influence has shaped my approach to leadership, teaching me that true success lies in building strong, motivated teams and valuing collaboration over individual achievement. One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned is the power of active listening understanding perspectives before providing direction. This approach not only helps in problem-solving but also creates an environment where team members feel respected and empowered. I’ve also drawn inspiration from industry thought leaders who’ve shown how adaptability and innovation can transform challenges into opportunities These influences have guided me to lead with authenticity, foster inclusivity, and maintain a balance between strategy and empathy in every campaign

Q: What advice would you give to other young professionals who aspire to achieve similar success?

My advice is simple: be curious, adaptable, and fearless PR is an industry that thrives on constant change those who are willing to embrace new ideas, experiment with emerging platforms, and think beyond traditional boundaries will always find opportunities to shine Don’t be afraid of failure; each setback teaches resilience and sharpens your perspective Building meaningful relationships with mentors, colleagues, and stakeholders is equally critical, as PR is fundamentally about trust and collaboration Also, invest in continuous learning, whether by exploring

new media formats, honing crisis management skills, or staying updated with technological shifts like AI and data-driven PR strategies Above all, never lose sight of the power of storytelling when you can create narratives that resonate with people, you can inspire action, shift perceptions, and make a lasting impact

Q: How do you balance ambition and personal growth with maintaining a healthy work-life balance?

Balancing ambition with personal growth has been a conscious effort for me I believe that while hard work and dedication are essential, sustainable success comes only when you nurture yourself outside work I prioritize clear boundaries, focusing on efficiency during work hours and disconnecting when needed to recharge creatively Pursuing personal passions like content creation and lifestyle blogging helps me channel creativity in different ways, which ultimately enriches my professional journey too I also value mindfulness and self-care practices that keep me grounded Importantly, I’ve learned to say no when overcommitment threatens my balance. This not only ensures I give my best to the projects I take on but also allows me to maintain my mental and emotional wellbeing. For me, balance doesn’t mean doing less, but rather being intentional about where I invest my time and energy so that both ambition and personal growth are nurtured in harmony.

Q: Looking ahead, what are your goals for the next few years, and how do you plan to continue growing and making an impact in your field?

Over the next few years, my goal is to deepen my expertise in strategic communication while contributing to the evolving PR landscape I see the industry entering an exciting phase where technology, culture, and storytelling converge, and I want to stay at the forefront of this change I plan to explore new-age mediums like podcasts, video-led storytelling, and AI-driven insights to craft campaigns that are more engaging, personalized, and impactful At the same time, I want to continue driving narratives that not only build brand equity but also encourage inclusivity, sustainability, and positive change in society Mentoring young professionals and fostering collaboration within teams is also close to my heart, as I believe the next generation of PR leaders will shape the industry in profound ways My vision is to continue creating campaigns that are innovative, relevant, and responsible leaving a lasting mark both for the brands I represent and the communities they serve

Q: What drove you to succeed, and what do you think made you stand out for this award?

What has driven me is the belief that every stage of my career is a stepping stone to becoming a better HR professional I began with execution-focused responsibilities handling recruitment, onboarding, and workforce management which grounded me in the fundamentals of people practices. Those years taught me discipline, patience, and the value of getting the basics right

Gradually, as I grew, data became my constant companion I learned how insights drawn from numbers could sharpen decisionmaking, while empathy ensured those decisions truly resonated with people. This steady learning curve shaped not just my skills, but also my confidence to take on larger responsibilities.

The real inflection point came when I transitioned to a planning role at L&T Finance Moving from execution to strategy gave me a panoramic view of HR’s power to shape business outcomes. Instead of simply responding to needs, I was helping anticipate them aligning talent plans with business growth, optimizing acquisition costs, and leading HR transformation projects. That shift broadened my perspective and made me a more balanced professional: rooted in execution, yet forward-looking in strategy.

What set me apart for this award, I believe, is this ability to evolve with integrity while keeping people at the centre By combining adaptability, fairness, and hard work, I’ve been able to create trust across both leadership and employees. For me, success has always been about enabling collective progress, and that is what continues to drive me forward.

Q: Who has been your biggest inspiration or mentor in your journey, and how have they influenced your approach to work and leadership?

I have been fortunate to draw inspiration from both personal and professional relationships. At the heart of it, my parents, Mr Shyam Krishna and Mrs Shobhana Krishna, have been my strongest anchors. They instilled in me the values of integrity, resilience, and empathy qualities that are the foundation of my approach to work and leadership. Their belief in hard work with fairness has shaped how I treat people and how I define success

I also feel deeply grateful to my uncle, Mr. Awdhesh Krishna, whose mentorship has been instrumental in shaping my professional journey. Beyond the support of family, his guidance has carried the wisdom of a true mentor He encouraged me to look beyond day-to-day execution and helped me develop the strategic perspective needed to grow as an HR leader His advice has been especially meaningful during moments of transition, reminding me to balance empathy with results and to always keep the bigger picture in mind In addition, I have been shaped by professional leaders I have worked with. At Reliance, I learned the importance of agility and decisiveness in a fast-paced environment. At L&T Finance, my exposure to senior leadership highlighted how HR can act as a true strategic partner to business outcomes

Together, these influences values instilled by my parents, mentorship from my uncle, and guidance from professional leaders have given me a balanced approach to leadership: empathetic yet pragmatic, people-first yet aligned with organizational goals.

INTERVIEW

Q: What advice would you give to other young professionals who aspire to achieve similar success?

One lesson I hold close is that every stage of your career matters, even the early roles that feel routine When I began with execution-driven responsibilities managing hiring, onboarding, and day-to-day employee queries it didn’t always seem like “big” work But those experiences built my foundation. They taught me discipline, how to listen with intent, and how to support people in both exciting and difficult moments. Looking back, I see how those small learnings prepared me for larger responsibilities later

Trust and credibility are important, especially in HR where they become your greatest strength. People should know that when they approach you, they will be heard, and when you commit to something, you will deliver. Success flows naturally when people trust both your intent and your capability

I would also encourage young professionals to embrace change with an open mind When I moved into a planning role at L&T Finance, it was a shift from execution to strategy. At first, it felt daunting, but stepping into that discomfort accelerated my growth Every career has such turning points moments when you’re asked to stretch beyond what feels safe Say yes to them, because that’s where transformation happens Finally, let your passion and integrity guide you. Work hard, stay curious, and remain grounded in your values because true success is not only about where you reach, but also about the journey you take to get there.

Q: How do you balance ambition and personal growth with maintaining a healthy work-life balance?

For me, balance has never meant dividing time equally it has meant giving the right energy to the right priorities Ambition drives me to stretch myself at work, but I am conscious that growth is

not sustainable without personal well-being. Early in my career, I often pushed myself to be available at all times, but over time I learned that boundaries are necessary to stay effective.

I approach balance by being intentional At work, I focus on planning ahead, delegating where possible, and using data to stay on top of priorities This allows me to close tasks within timelines and still have the mental space to think strategically. On the personal side, I make time for family and self-care, because those moments recharge me and give me the clarity to perform better professionally.

I also see personal growth and professional ambition as interconnected rather than competing Every challenge at work teaches me resilience, patience, and leadership At the same time, personal experiences whether through family, reading, or travel make me more empathetic and better equipped to connect with people at work.

The key has been to accept that balance is dynamic Some weeks demand more of me at work, others allow more space at home. What matters is being present in the moment and not letting one area consistently overshadow the other. That mindset helps me sustain ambition without losing sight of what makes me whole

INTERVIEW

EVAKRISHNA

Q: Looking ahead, what are your goals for the next few years, and how do you plan to continue growing and making an impact in your field?

In the next few years, I want to strengthen my role as a strategic HR leader who can influence both business results and employee experience My immediate focus is to drive HR transformation at L&T Finance making talent practices sharper, more digital, and more aligned with the company’s growth plans. I believe the future of HR lies in combining technology with a human touch, and I want to be at the forefront of shaping that balance

Another goal is to mentor young professionals who are starting out in HR. I know from my own journey how important it is to have guidance early on, and I want to pass forward the lessons I’ve learned about integrity, adaptability, and building trust By doing so, I hope to contribute not only to my organization but also to the profession as a whole

A key area I also want to focus on is diversity and inclusion Beyond meeting targets, I want to help build workplaces where every individual feels they belong and have equal opportunities to grow.

To achieve these goals, I will continue to invest in learning staying updated on HR technology, leadership practices, and business trends I see growth as a continuous process, and my aim is to keep evolving while ensuring my work creates real, lasting impact for both people and organizations.

Q: What drove you to succeed, and what do you think made you stand out for this award?

What drove me to succeed was the belief that talent acquisition is about shaping both careers and businesses I’ve worked across leadership hiring, campus recruitment, onboarding, and induction programs ensuring candidates feel connected, engaged, and ready to contribute from day one. I think what made me stand out is my ability to combine business-focused hiring strategies with people-first practices, creating impact for both organizations and individuals.

Q: Who has been your biggest inspiration or mentor in your journey, and how have they influenced your approach to work and leadership?

My mentor, Mrs. Neha Khanna, has been my biggest motivation, guiding me to see HR as a strategic partner to the business and not just a support function. Their influence taught me to lead with empathy, structure, and impact especially in areas like campus hiring and induction, where first impressions matter the most.

Recently, I also completed my Executive MBA from XLRI, which further broadened my perspective on leadership, change management, and HR transformation The program gave me practical tools to link talent practices directly with business outcomes

Q: What advice would you give to other young professionals who aspire to achieve similar success?

Invest in both learning and doing. Take risks whether it’s leading campus drives, owning onboarding programs, or handling leadership hiring and don’t be afraid to step outside your comfort zone. Stay curious, align your efforts with business goals, and keep upgrading yourself through continuous learning, like advanced programs or certifications.

Most importantly, find a mentor whose guidance pushes you forward while keeping you grounded

Q: How do you balance ambition and personal growth with maintaining a healthy work-life balance?

I’ve realized balance comes from conscious prioritization Just as I design structured onboarding to help others settle in, I’ve created routines that help me manage both career ambition and personal growth

Completing my Executive MBA at XLRI was demanding, but it taught me the importance of discipline and reflection I dedicate time to family and personal passions, ensuring that ambition fuels me without leading to burnout

Q: Looking ahead, what are your goals for the next few years, and how do you plan to continue growing and making an impact in your field?

My goal is to become a stronger strategic HR leader who drives business transformation through talent I want to enhance campus recruitment strategies, reimagine onboarding and induction frameworks for modern workplaces, and continue to strengthen leadership hiring Building on my Executive MBA from XLRI, I aim to keep growing as a business partner driving innovation in HR while shaping inclusive, future-ready workplaces

INTERVIEW

Q: What drove you to succeed, and what do you think made you stand out for this award?

One of the most defining parts of my journey has been leading the Campus-to-Corporate training for freshers. It wasn’t something I stumbled into it was a core responsibility, and honestly, one of the best things that happened to me professionally Working with fresh minds, shaping their first corporate experience, and seeing their transformation over weeks has been incredibly fulfilling. I still remember a fresher who struggled with confidence during the initial sessions, and by the end of the program, he was leading group presentations with ease. Moments like that remind me why I love what I do. It’s not just about training it’s about impact.

I’ve always focused on achieving defined outputs, not just outcomes Whether it’s through feedback scores or performance metrics, I make sure the impact is measurable. That clarity helps me benchmark success and continuously improve

Also, I’ve never shied away from upskilling. I still recall attending a weekend workshop on instructional design just to understand learner psychology better That mindset of always being a student has helped me stay relevant in this fast-changing L&D space. And above all, I believe in taking full ownership. When you treat every task like it’s your own venture, growth becomes inevitable

Q: Who has been your biggest inspiration or mentor in your journey, and how have they influenced your approach to work and leadership?

My parents have always been my emotional compass. Their support has been unwavering, especially during times when I doubted myself My mom once told me, “You don’t need to be the loudest in the room to be heard just be consistent.” That advice has stayed with me.

Professionally, I owe a lot to two incredible mentors Mrs. Madhavi Juttiyavar and Mr. Sanjay Talreja Madhavi Ma’am has this rare ability to lead with both structure and heart I remember once struggling with a training rollout across geographies, and she simply said, “Don’t chase perfection chase clarity.” That changed how I approached execution

Sanjay, on the other hand, was the one who believed in me when I was still finding my footing. He gave me space to experiment, fail, and learn. I once messed up a training calendar, and instead of reprimanding me, he asked, “What did you learn?” That moment taught me more about leadership than any certification ever could.

Their trust and empowerment helped me evolve from a fresher to someone who now mentors’ others I try to carry forward their legacy in how I lead and collaborate

INTERVIEW

Q: What advice would you give to other young professionals who aspire to achieve similar success?

Start by saying yes Say yes to projects, to feedback, to learning even when it’s uncomfortable I’ve grown the most when I stepped outside my comfort zone. Don’t wait to feel “ready” just start.

Also, take ownership When you treat your work like it’s your own startup, you’ll naturally push for excellence. And don’t underestimate the power of mentorship. I’ve learned more from coffee chats with seniors than from formal training sessions

In today’s L&D world, being tech-savvy is nonnegotiable. Tools like HRIS, LMS, and Power BI aren’t just fancy acronyms they’re essentials. I once used Power BI to track fresher engagement across batches, and it helped us redesign the entire Campus-To-Corporate transition

Also, I genuinely believe in the power of showing up physically and mentally Some of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned weren’t from formal trainings but from spontaneous conversations with colleagues, mentors, or even during chai breaks. Being present in the workplace helps you absorb the culture, understand the pulse of the organization, and build relationships that go beyond job descriptions Especially in the early stages of your career, these interactions can shape your perspective in ways that virtual meetings simply can’t

“Beyond tech, I want to focus on mentoring. Being a millennial myself, I love working with freshers and interns.”

Q: How do you balance ambition and personal growth with maintaining a healthy work-life balance?

It’s a work in progress, honestly But I’ve learned that setting boundaries is key I plan my week, block time for myself, and try not to let work bleed into every corner of my life.

Painting has been my escape since childhood, however, I somewhere lost track of it during initial years of my career. I picked it up during the pandemic, and now it’s my go-to therapy. I remember one weekend, I was sketching a rainy street scene, and it felt like I was washing away all the stress from the week That kind of creative outlet helps me reset

Also, I’ve noticed that when I take care of myself, I show up better at work Mondays don’t feel like a drag anymore they feel like a fresh start Burnout is real, and if you don’t protect your energy, even the most exciting job can start to feel heavy.

Q: Looking ahead, what are your goals for the next few years, and how do you plan to continue growing and making an impact in your field?

I’m really excited about how technology is reshaping L&D I want to explore how Gen AI can be integrated with existing HRIS and LMS systems to automate routine tasks and free up time for strategic work.

I’ve already started experimenting with AI-driven feedback analysis, and the insights have been game-changing. My goal is to make learning more personalized, data-driven, and scalable.

Beyond tech, I want to focus on mentoring Being a millennial myself, I love working with freshers and interns. There’s something incredibly fulfilling about helping someone find their footing. In the next few years, I hope to lead initiatives that blend innovation with empathy and build learning ecosystems that truly empower people

INTERVIEW

Q: What drove you to succeed, and what do you think made you stand out for this award?

What drove me was the belief that consistency matters more than speed. I have always focused on showing up fully for every task, no matter how big or small. My ability to connect with people, listen deeply, and translate their needs into solutions helped me stand out I believe success is never just about individual achievements it’s about how you add value to others, create impact in your organization, and uplift those around you This award reflects not just my efforts, but the support of mentors, colleagues, and family who’ve been part of my journey.

Q: Who has been your biggest inspiration or mentor in your journey, and how have they influenced your approach to work and leadership?

I have been fortunate to have mentors at different stages of my career My first manager, who was also my mentor and friend, shaped my foundation by encouraging me to be curious, stay grounded, and never stop learning. Their advice taught me that leadership is not about hierarchy, but about empathy and enabling others to succeed Even today, I carry that lesson into every interaction leading with authenticity, listening more than speaking, and focusing on long-term growth rather than quick wins

Q: What advice would you give to other young professionals who aspire to achieve similar success?

Don’t chase titles, chase learning Each role and experience is a stepping stone embrace them fully, even if they feel small. Build strong relationships because people will remember how you made them feel more than what you achieved And most importantly, don’t measure yourself only against others; define your own version of success. Success at a young age often looks glamorous, but it’s really about resilience, discipline, and staying true to your values

Q: How do you balance ambition and personal growth with maintaining a healthy work-life balance?

Balance for me means knowing when to pause. I am ambitious, but I also know that burning out only limits your potential. I prioritize time with family and friends, small breaks for travel, and moments of quiet reflection Personal growth doesn’t always come from work it comes from hobbies, conversations, and experiences outside of it too. I try to create clear boundaries, be fully present in the moment, and remind myself that long-term success is only sustainable when health and happiness are not compromised I believe in the mantra that if you manage your work well, you will manage your life and that’s how true worklife balance integration is achieved

Q: Looking ahead, what are your goals for the next few years, and how do you plan to continue growing and making an impact in your field?

Looking ahead, I want to focus on building inclusive workplaces where people feel seen and valued. In HR, I see myself driving initiatives that enhance employee well-being and create sustainable growth for organizations Personally, I aim to deepen my expertise, mentor younger professionals, and stay open to new opportunities that challenge me. My larger goal is to make a difference not just in numbers or processes, but in how people experience their work lives I also believe in making data-driven decisions and reducing subjective interventions wherever possible, so that HR practices remain more metrics-based, factual, and impactful

Q: How do you balance ambition and personal growth with maintaining a healthy work-life balance?

Balancing ambition with personal growth has been a conscious effort for me I believe that while hard work and dedication are essential, sustainable success comes only when you nurture yourself outside work. I prioritize clear boundaries, focusing on efficiency during work hours and disconnecting when needed to recharge creatively Pursuing personal passions like content creation and lifestyle blogging helps me channel creativity in different ways, which ultimately enriches my professional journey too I also value mindfulness and self-care practices that keep me grounded. Importantly, I’ve learned to say no when overcommitment threatens my balance This not only ensures I give my best to the projects I take on but also allows me to maintain my mental and emotional well-being. For me, balance doesn’t mean doing less, but rather being intentional about where I invest my time and energy so that both ambition and personal growth are nurtured in harmony.

Q: Looking ahead, what are your goals for the next few years, and how do you plan to continue growing and making an impact in your field?

Over the next few years, my goal is to deepen my expertise in strategic communication while contributing to the evolving PR landscape I see the industry entering an exciting phase where technology, culture, and storytelling converge, and I want to stay at the forefront of this change. I plan to explore new-age mediums like podcasts, video-led storytelling, and AI-driven insights to craft campaigns that are more engaging, personalized, and impactful. At the same time, I want to continue driving narratives that not only build brand equity but also encourage inclusivity, sustainability, and positive change in society.

Mentoring young professionals and fostering collaboration within teams is also close to my heart, as I believe the next generation of PR leaders will shape the industry in profound ways

My vision is to continue creating campaigns that are innovative, relevant, and responsible leaving a lasting mark both for the brands I represent and the communities they serve

Q: What drove you to succeed, and what do you think made you stand out for this award?

My journey has been guided by a simple belief – people are the real drivers of any organization’s success. I understood that HR is not just about hiring, but about creating opportunities, shaping culture, and building workplaces where people can truly grow This thought has always kept me motivated This belief continues to fuel my motivation every day.

What makes me stand out is my focus on turning ideas into real, measurable results Be it digitalizing recruitment with the help of team, encouraging fresh minds or anchoring chairman flagships programme Project Panchhi to strengthen and giving back to the society as of one of the pillar I try to balance empathy with business goals, making sure decisions are both people-centric and aligned with organizational needs. I have also never hesitated to step out of my comfort zone, take ownership of any projects, and adapt to challenges This consistency, along with my passion and resilience, has helped me grow. I believe this award is a recognition not just of my achievements, but also of my commitment to building workplaces where inclusivity and performance go hand in hand

Q: Who has been your biggest inspiration or mentor in your journey, and how have they influenced your approach to work and leadership?

The biggest inspiration in my life has been my father His resilience, discipline, and ability to remain grounded despite challenges taught me the value of perseverance and integrity Watching him navigate responsibilities with calmness and dedication shaped my belief that true leadership lies in actions, not titles. His influence instilled in me the courage to dream big while staying humble and focused

Professionally, I have been fortunate to have mentors at Vedanta who trusted me in the transition of career from security officer to HR They not only gave me opportunities but also the freedom to experiment, fail, and learn Their leadership taught me that empowering people is the key to unlocking innovation.

Today, I approach work with the mindset of enabling others, fostering collaboration, and driving change through both strategy and compassion. Their mentorship helped me develop confidence in my ideas and taught me the importance of leading by example My inspiration and mentors collectively shaped me into a professional who values both results and relationships, ensuring that impact is achieved without losing the human touch.

Q: What advice would you give to other young professionals who aspire to achieve similar success?

Before starting my corporate journey, I was into teaching, and even today I enjoy interacting with young professionals and students I truly believe that believing in yourself is the key to success

My advice to young professionals would be to never limit themselves to a defined role or comfort zone Growth happens when you challenge yourself, take ownership, accountabilities of responsibilities, and say “yes” to opportunities that may initially seem difficult or challenging. Some of my most impactful experiences came from journey I wasn’t initially prepared for, but they pushed me to learn, adapt, and grow

Continuous learning is equally important. With digital transformation, data-driven decisions, and changing workforce expectations, the workplace is evolving faster than ever To stay relevant, you must keep upskilling, stay open to new ideas, and embrace change with courage.

I would also encourage young professionals to find

mentors and role models who can guide them, but at the same time, build a peer network that challenges them to think differently

Finally, success is not just about titles or awards about the difference you make. Ask yourself: are you leaving a positive impact on people, processes, and the organization? Always ask questions don’t be hesitate to ask That will define your true legacy Above all, stay authentic. Your values and individuality are your biggest strengths; they will always help you stand out, no matter the competition.

Q: How do you balance ambition and personal growth with maintaining a healthy work-life balance?

I believe balance is not about dividing time equally, but about being fully present in whatever I’m doing whether it’s work or personal life. Early on, I learned that trying to “do everything at once” only leads to burnout. What helped me was consciously prioritizing, delegating, and focusing on the activities that truly create value

At work, I focus on high-impact projects and set clear goals, ensuring that my time is invested where it matters most I also believe in building strong teams, which allows me to delegate effectively and trust others with responsibilities. This not only lightens the load but also empowers colleagues to grow

Outside of work, I make sure to recharge through activities I enjoy reading, traveling, spending time with family, exploring new places and pursuing creative hobbies These are not distractions, but essential practices that renew my energy and creativity To me, personal growth and ambition go hand in hand with well-being. When I take care of my health and relationships, I perform better at work. I see balance as a dynamic process, not a fixed state it requires constant reflection and adjustment, but it ensures sustainable growth both personally and professionally.

Q: Looking ahead, what are your goals for the next few years, and how do you plan to continue growing and making an impact in your field?

Looking ahead, my long-term goal is to become a CHRO and take on larger leadership responsibilities where I can influence strategy, culture, and people practices at an organizational level To prepare myself for this journey, I want to enhance my profile by gaining exposure across different areas of HR from talent acquisition and development to employee relations, Compliance, industrial relation, HR analytics, and organizational development

I believe continuous learning is key, so I plan to keep upskilling and adapting to the latest trends in HR, especially digital transformation and AIdriven practices that are reshaping the future of work. At the same time, I want to strengthen my leadership skills by taking on challenging roles that push me to grow, while also mentoring and guiding young professionals

My focus will always be on creating workplaces where people feel valued, included, and motivated to perform their best. By balancing business goals with employee well-being, I aim to make a meaningful impact in every role I take up Over the next few years, I see myself evolving into a peoplefirst leader, and wanted to lead an unit on leadership profile working steadily towards the vision of becoming a CHRO

Q: What drove you to succeed, and what do you think made you stand out for this award?

What has always driven me is the belief that HR is not just about processes it’s about unlocking human potential and aligning it with business growth. I have never seen HR as a ‘support function’ to me, it’s where strategy meets people, and both must thrive together Whether it was building a stronger employer brand, improving employee experience, or driving culture change, I have always focused on outcomes you can measure and feel. What I think set me apart was my willingness to combine data with empathy, to look at the “why” behind numbers, and to step into challenges that felt bigger than my years of experience. I think what made me stand out is this mix of strategic thinking, data-driven execution, and the ability to connect with people on a human level, even in high-pressure situations

This balance of strategic thinking, data-driven execution, and genuine human connection, even under high pressure, is what I think made me stand out

Q: Who has been your biggest inspiration or mentor in your journey, and how have they influenced your approach to work and leadership?

I have been fortunate to learn from leaders who

showed me that numbers matter, but people matter more. Early in my career at Capgemini, my HR Director and manager shaped the way I view HR They taught me that “strategy without empathy is just policy” a lesson that continues to influence every project I take on. They encouraged me to speak the language of business so I could have a voice in the boardroom but also reminded me to listen deeply so I could earn trust on the office floor

Another inspiring voice in my journey has been Ruhie Pande, the Group CHRO at Serentica and an avid reader. Among the many insights she shares, one that truly resonated with me is: ‘Culture can eat strategy for breakfast’ This powerful reminder motivates me to place people and culture at the center of every program we design because even the most brilliant strategies will falter without the right cultural foundation. From her, I have learned that leadership is about creating a space where people feel safe to share ideas, take risks, and grow

These experiences have helped me reframe HR not as an administrative function, but as a driver of transformation and lasting impact

Q: What advice would you give to other young professionals who aspire to achieve similar success?

For young professionals aiming to make a mark, the best advice I can give : be curious, be visible, and be relentless.

Be curious- Ask questions, seek out new knowledge, and dive into areas that intrigue you even if they fall outside your immediate responsibilities. Curiosity is the engine that drives growth and innovation. It helps you build a broader perspective, deepen your skills, and stay adaptable in an ever-changing workplace

Be visible- Visibility is not about self-promotion it is about making sure your value is recognized and that you’re seen as a proactive, engaged professional. This openness often leads to new opportunities and mentorship that can accelerate your career

Be relentless- The professional journey is rarely a straight line. You will face setbacks, challenges, and moments of doubt What matters is your ability to keep moving forward despite obstacles Stay focused on your goals, be resilient, and maintain momentum even when progress feels slow.

Most importantly, do not wait for a certain title or “enough years” to take ownership if you spot a gap, fill it; if you have an idea, run with it. Ownership and leadership come from mindset, not just position.

Your career is shaped less by the time you have spent and more by the value and impact you create.

I block time for activities that inspire creativity reading, travel, and fitness which indirectly make me better at my work I have learned that burnout is not a badge of honor; in fact, my most creative HR solutions have come from moments of mental space, not exhaustion.

I also lean on strong personal and professional support systems who remind me to pause and celebrate wins along the way

Over time, I have come to value consistency over intensity. Small, intentional habits like digital detox hours, morning journaling, or even a walk between meetings help me stay grounded.

“Over time, I have come to value consistency over intensity. Small, intentional habits like digital detox hours, morning journaling, or even a walk between meetings—help me stay grounded.”

Q: How do you balance ambition and personal growth with maintaining a healthy work-life balance?

I see balance as integration rather than separation. Some weeks, work takes the lead; other weeks, personal life does My ambition keeps me moving forward, but I consciously set boundaries to recharge.

I also try to check in with myself regularly, asking not just “What am I achieving?” but also “How am I feeling?” That self-awareness has been key in maintaining a sustainable rhythm

After all, growth is not just about doing more it is about doing better, with clarity and purpose

Q: Looking ahead, what are your goals for the next few years, and how do you plan to continue growing and making an impact in your field?

In the coming years, I want to focus on building cultures that are ready for the future especially in industries that are fast-changing and purpose-driven

My focus will be on embedding inclusive practices, building leadership pipelines, and leveraging technology for employee experience.

I also want to mentor early-career HR professionals, just as I was guided, so we multiply impact across the profession.

For myself, I’ll keep learning through executive programs, cross-functional projects, and global exposure because in HR, the more perspectives you have, the bigger the impact you can create.

Q: What drove you to succeed, and what do you think made you stand out for this award?

What has always driven me is curiosity and the strong belief that learning has the power to transform both individuals and organizations.

My career journey began in a technical role, and when I transitioned into HR after my MBA, I had to adapt quickly, learn from scratch, and prove myself in an entirely new space.

After my MBA, my first role was with a large MNC where I was part of a wellestablished L&D team While it gave me a solid foundation, I soon realized I wanted to challenge myself further. That’s when I decided to move to an organization where I could build the Learning & Development and Talent Management function from the ground up That experience taught me adaptability, resilience, agility, and the importance of taking calculated risks to truly grow in your area of interest

Over time, I have also learned that to succeed in this field, it’s not enough to simply design programs you need to understand your business deeply, connect with people, and identify the challenges they face With that in mind, I’ve focused on aligning learning initiatives closely with both business priorities and employee needs whether it is curating learning paths, designing leadership development programs, or building career frameworks for growth

I believe what made me stand out for this award is not just the ability to deliver initiatives, but to ensure they create meaningful, visible, and lasting impact for both people and the organization

Q: Who has been your biggest inspiration or mentor in your journey, and how have they influenced your approach to work and leadership?

I would first like to thank my family their unconditional support and belief in me has been my strongest foundation They’ve encouraged me at every step and stood by me through both challenges and milestones, and I wouldn’t have reached here without them.

Along with that, I’ve been fortunate to have leaders and colleagues who trusted me early on and pushed me to step out of my comfort zone

Their belief in my abilities, often before I fully believed in myself, shaped the way I see leadership today.

It taught me that real leadership is about empowering others, giving them space to grow, supporting them when they take risks, and helping them learn from experiences

That’s the philosophy I carry forward creating environments where people feel supported, valued, and inspired to go beyond their own expectations

Q: What advice would you give to other young professionals who aspire to achieve similar success?

My biggest advice would be to always stay open to learning, exploring, and taking on new challenges, even if they feel daunting at first. Build a strong foundation by being clear about your “why” and taking small, consistent steps toward your goals Whenever you take up a project, initiative, or deliverable, focus on the impact you want to create rather than just the activity itself

Don’t hesitate to try new things, switch paths, or pursue opportunities that stretch you beyond your comfort zone.

Along the way, seek out mentors, build meaningful networks, and invest in relationships, they often open doors you may not have imagined And most importantly, keep measuring the impact of your work.

Q: How do you balance ambition and personal growth with maintaining a healthy work-life balance?

For me, balance isn’t about drawing boundaries, it’s about finding a sync between

work and personal life. There are phases when work takes priority and phases when personal growth or family time needs more focus, and I try to balance both The support I’ve received from my organization, as well as from my family, has played a huge role in making this possible At work, I believe trust, accountability, and ownership are key to creating that balance.

On a personal front, I make it a point to invest in my hobbies, spend quality time with loved ones to stay happy and grounded.

I enjoy working out, trekking, and traveling, as these activities keep me refreshed and rejuvenated Ambition is important, but I’ve realized it is most fulfilling when it goes hand in hand with personal well-being.

Q: Looking ahead, what are your goals for the next few years, and how do you plan to continue growing and making an impact in your field?

I look forward to the future of work and see myself contributing by shaping talent strategies and learning initiatives that help organizations adapt to rapid change and innovation. I believe in leveraging data, technology, and AI, balanced with a human touch to create environments where people feel empowered to learn, grow, and thrive.

I also aspire to give back to the HR community by sharing my experiences, learning from peers, and contributing to collective growth.

At the same time, I will continue to invest in my own development, because in today’s evolving landscape, learning should never stop

Q: What drove you to succeed, and what do you think made you stand out for this award?

I come from a conventional family, yet I was blessed to have a feminist in the family my father. I have witnessed feminism not just in words but through the life of a man who lived equality every day He encouraged me to stretch my wings and conquer the world with discipline in thought and honesty in work Over the years, I was given the privilege to speak my mind, and I developed a deep desire to do the same for others to be a “voice for the voiceless ” This passion continues to drive me to excel in everything I do Life, with its own mysterious pattern, led me into HR a field I never imagined, being a Literature graduate. As William Wordsworth said, “Fill your paper with the breathings of your heart,” I have filled my career with purpose and empathy, focusing on enriching lives, especially for women Today, my work extends beyond women’s empowerment to uplifting underprivileged youth through skill development My vision for life to create equal opportunities and inspire positive change has shaped my journey It is this vision, grounded in values and fueled by purpose, that I believe made me stand out for this award

Q: Who has been your biggest inspiration or mentor in your journey, and how have they influenced your approach to work and leadership?

For reaching greater heights, one must be guided through the journey. I am fortunate to have had two remarkable mentors who shaped my professional and personal life

Being in HR means balancing the expectations of management and the well-being of employees without compromising one’s principles or business outcomes. My inspiring leader, Mr Srimanivel, VP – Head HR, taught me two styles of leadership that go beyond any theory or HR framework – Autocratic and Charismatic. He instilled in me the belief that

leadership is not about being liked or seeking personal gain, but about being straightforward, loyal, and standing firm even when you are alone “True leadership is not about applause it’s about standing for what’s right when no one is watching.” His guidance gave me the courage to be a real HR professional.

To be strong in professional life, one must also be grounded in personal values Dr M Bharatha Lingam, at 71, active and principled, taught me humility at great heights, the strength of trust, and the simplicity of life through a shift in perspective. He showed me that living in harmony with culture, principles, and nature brings true contentment “The universe rewards a soul that lives in alignment with nature’s truth.” These mentors are my compass for both career and life.

“My vision for life—to create equal opportunities and inspire positive change—has shaped my journey.”

Q: What advice would you give to other young professionals who aspire to achieve similar success?

I began my journey as a feminist advocating for equal rights for women Ironically, it was the men in my life who groomed, moulded, and fine-tuned me shaping both my professional and personal growth. My darkest fears gradually transformed into guiding lights

To young professionals, my advice is simple: face your fears head-on. Align your soul with the universe, and the universe will take care of the rest. There is a divine flow that may be invisible to the eye, but its presence is evident in the changes you experience As Robin Sharma said, “Everything is created twice first in the mind and then in reality.” Start manifesting the life you desire in

your daily actions, not just in your thoughts.

For me, I often visualized myself receiving awards on a stage draped in blue a color that signifies loyalty and honesty True enough, I have shone high by living with integrity and loyalty. As The Alchemist reminds us, “When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it ”

Manifest your vision, live it with sincerity, and the universe will place in your path the people and lessons you need to shape your destiny.

Q: How do you balance ambition and personal growth with maintaining a healthy work-life balance?

I have always felt that the universe aligns my passion with my profession My life goal has been to be a “Voice for the Voiceless,” and in JK Fenner, that purpose finds its platform. I serve as the Presiding Officer of the ICC, handling grievances of women employees, and I lead Learning and Development initiatives Here, my personal passion meets my professional responsibilities an alignment that fuels my energy and commitment whenever opportunities arise

For me, healthy work–life balance is more about mindset than mechanics. I focus on setting clear goals and priorities, because as a peer once told me, “No one is ever too busy it’s all about priorities ” I never compromise my personal life for my professional one, or vice versa. Planning ahead ensures I can be fully present in both spheres My boss’s support never saying no to well-planned leave also makes this balance possible

Nature brings calmness in hustle world. As Mr. Pal says about fitness, “Discipline is the bridge between desire and transformation ” I apply this to life: when discipline meets passion, balance becomes natural, and success both personal and professional follows.

Q: Looking ahead, what are your goals for the next few years, and how do you plan to continue growing and making an impact in your field?

Looking ahead, my vision for the next few years is clear I aim to become HR Head This is not just an aspiration but an attainable goal, built on a structured plan to enhance my expertise across all facets of Human Resources. I intend to broaden my experience through diverse projects, strategic initiatives, and continuous learning, ensuring I am well-prepared to lead with impact.

Beyond my career progression, I am deeply committed to contributing to the development of young communities I plan to engage in initiatives that build employability skills, leadership qualities, and professional confidence among youth.

As a CII Assessor, I aim to expand my role by participating in the evaluation of multiple organizations. This journey will allow me to explore and understand innovative HR practices across industries, providing valuable insights that I can adapt and apply Stepping into the role of a seasoned HR assessor will not only strengthen my professional credibility but also enable me to influence better people practices on a broader scale

My path forward is about growth, contribution, and leadership with purpose at the heart of every step.

Q: What drove you to succeed, and what do you think made you stand out for this award?

I’m driven by the challenge of building something where nothing exists stepping into early-stage startups with no HR function and transforming them into structured, scalable, and people-focused organisations

From my very first role, I’ve sought out environments where the pace is fast, the stakes are high, and the impact is tangible. I thrive on working directly with founders, aligning people strategy with business goals, and creating systems that don’t just support growth they accelerate it At Writesonic (YC-backed), I’ve taken that philosophy further by integrating AI and automation across recruitment, onboarding, compliance, and engagement proving that HR can be both human-centred and technology-enabled This blend of operational excellence and innovation, coupled with the ability to scale teams rapidly and sustainably, is what I believe made me stand out for this award For me, success is about leaving every organisation stronger, smarter, and more future-ready than when I joined and that’s the benchmark I hold myself to in every role.

Q: Who has been your biggest inspiration or mentor in your journey, and how have they influenced your approach to work and leadership?

I’ve been fortunate to work closely with founders and leaders who shaped my career right from its first chapter.

At BeatO, I had the privilege of learning from the founders and CEO Yash Sehgal and Gautam Chopra and my first team lead, Kartik Arya. From them, I discovered that leadership is built on trust, empathy, and creating a sense of family within a team. They believed in me early on, entrusted me with meaningful responsibilities, and gave me the freedom to experiment and grow.

At Writesonic, I’ve had the opportunity to

work with Samanyou Garg, one of the youngest and brightest minds in the space. He redefined for me what ownership truly means encouraging me to treat my role as if I were building my own company His vision of integrating AI into every process has inspired me to push boundaries, innovate fearlessly, and reimagine what HR can be in an AI-first world

Beyond the workplace, a huge influence in my life has been my uncle, a father figure to me and a retired Senior Warrant Officer from the Air Force, SWO R.S Chauhan. He instilled in me discipline, values, and integrity. I’ve always looked up to him as a role model for living with commitment and purpose

Q: What advice would you give to other young professionals who aspire to achieve similar success?

Early in my career, I wasn’t creating strategies I was editing documents, printing, filing, and even distributing laptops. But I approached every task with intent, curiosity, and a smile. Each responsibility, no matter how small, was a chance to build trust, understand the business, and show that I was ready for more

My advice: No task is ever “too small” if you see it as part of the bigger picture Stand out not just through your results, but through the energy, ownership, and consistency you bring to everything you do.

And equally important stay disciplined Success isn’t built overnight; it’s the result of years of showing up, being reliable, and putting in the effort even when it’s not glamorous. Opportunities come to those who prove they can be trusted with the small things before being handed the big ones That’s what truly accelerates growth and builds lasting credibility

mentors and role models who can guide them, but at the same time, build a peer network that challenges them to think differently

“To me, personal growth and ambition go hand in hand with well-being.”

Throughout my professional journey, I’ve been fortunate to work under and alongside several inspiring leaders, but the most influential mentors have been Mr. Sumit Barat, Chief Sustainability Officer at BluPine Energy, and Mr Hemraj Singh, Head of HSE & Sustainability.

Mr Sumit Barat has been instrumental in shaping my strategic thinking and instilling a deep understanding of sustainability as a core business driver His visionary leadership and emphasis on purpose-driven impact have inspired me to align my work with long-term organizational goals and community value creation Under his guidance, I’ve learned to approach challenges with a broader lens, balancing innovation with responsibility.

Mr Hemraj Singh’s mentorship has been equally transformative. His hands-on approach and commitment to operational excellence have taught me the importance of precision, accountability, and proactive leadership. Q: What advice would you give to other young professionals who aspire to achieve similar success?

My advice to young professionals is to embrace every opportunity as a chance to learn, grow, and

lead with purpose. Success doesn’t come from one big moment it’s built through consistent effort, curiosity, and a willingness to step outside your comfort zone.

Stay curious and keep learning: Whether it's mastering technical skills, understanding sustainability frameworks, or learning new tools like Minitab or ESG software, continuous learning has been key to my growth.

Own your impact: Don’t wait for leadership roles to lead. Take initiative, be accountable, and focus on creating tangible value whether it’s improving safety metrics, optimizing operations, or driving sustainability.

Collaborate and communicate: Success is never a solo journey. Build strong relationships, listen actively, and foster a culture of feedback and teamwork Initiatives like SustainX and crossfunctional audits taught me the power of collaboration

Be resilient and adaptable: Challenges will come projects may be complex, timelines tight, and expectations high. What matters is how you respond. Stay focused, be solution-oriented, and never lose sight of your purpose.

Celebrate progress, not just perfection: Recognize your milestones, however small. Awards and recognitions are affirmations, but the real reward is the growth you experience and the impact you create.

Above all, lead with integrity, empathy, and a vision that goes beyond personal success towards building safer, more sustainable, and inclusive workplaces

Q: How do you balance ambition and personal growth with maintaining a healthy work-life balance?

Balancing ambition with personal well-being is a continuous journey, and I’ve learned that it’s not about choosing one over the other it’s about integrating both meaningfully.

I approach this balance by being intentional with my time and energy At work, I stay focused on high-impact tasks, delegate effectively, and use digital tools to streamline processes like implementing ESG software for predictive risk analysis. This allows me to maintain productivity without burnout

Equally important is setting boundaries and prioritizing self-care. I make time for reflection, learning, and connecting with loved ones, which helps me recharge and stay grounded. Personal growth isn’t just professional it’s also about emotional resilience, mindfulness, and staying true to your values.

I also believe in creating a culture where balance is respected. Through initiatives like SustainX and team collaboration on safety and sustainability, I’ve seen how empowering others and sharing responsibilities leads to better outcomes and healthier teams.

Ultimately, ambition and balance go hand in hand when you lead with purpose, stay organized, and nurture both your goals and your well-being

Q: Looking ahead, what are your goals for the next few years, and how do you plan to continue growing and making an impact in your field?

In the coming years, my goal is to deepen my impact in the field of sustainability and safety by driving innovation, scaling best practices, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across the renewable energy sector.

I aim to:

1.Lead transformative ESG initiatives that go beyond compliance focusing on predictive analytics, digital integration, and stakeholder engagement to create measurable environmental and social value

2 Expand my leadership capabilities by mentoring young professionals, promoting inclusive growth, and contributing to industry-wide knowledge-sharing platforms.

3.Pursue advanced certifications and global collaborations to stay ahead of evolving standards and bring international best practices to Indian operations especially in areas like climate risk, circular economy, and sustainable supply chains.

4 Drive innovation in safety culture, leveraging technology to enhance real-time reporting, training, and behavioral safety programs across diverse sites and teams

I plan to continue growing by staying curious, embracing challenges, and remaining committed to purpose-driven leadership. Every project, every collaboration, and every milestone is an opportunity to learn, evolve, and make a lasting impact.

Q: What drove you to succeed, and what do you think made you stand out for this award?

My passion for HR stems from a strong belief in its capacity to drive remarkable and revolutionary initiatives, propelling companies into the future. I aspire to lead such transformative efforts and play a strong role in elevating HR as a strategic industry function This desire for an active and influential role in this larger narrative has been a key driver of my success.

Working with highly competent HR leaders in my current and previous organizations has provided invaluable exposure to key strategic projects and the opportunity to learn from the best, making my application stand out.

Q: Who has been your biggest inspiration or mentor in your journey, and how have they influenced your approach to work and leadership?

To quote a single mentor would be unfair I've been fortunate to learn from several HR leaders who have guided and mentored me. Nagina Singh and Garima Mishra taught me the importance of embodying confidence at the workplace and bringing a sharp strategic focus with first principles thinking Navin Chaudhary exemplified sheer hard work and an impeccable work ethic. Sakshi Sharma and Swati Agarwal demonstrated how to balance excellence and impact at work with equal dedication to personal life It's been a truly enriching learning journey thanks to their commendable leadership.

“Every day presents new challenges, and my approach to work-life balance involves embracing flexibility and not being a stickler for routine, while fully committing to the task at hand.”

Q: What advice would you give to other young professionals who aspire to achieve similar success?

My career mantra is continuous learning and active listening While workplace discussions are valuable, I believe true strength comes from listening, which broadens perspective and aids career advancement I also challenge myself regularly Though comfort zones offer short-term rewards, sustained success requires embracing discomfort, acquiring new skills, and developing stronger character in the process.

Q: How do you balance ambition and personal growth with maintaining a healthy work-life balance?

It’s a tight rope to walk. I have applied for this award during my maternity break and it has been tough to complete the submission, amidst catering to the demands of a new born Yet, it has also been incredibly fulfilling and encouraging, bolstering my confidence for my upcoming return to work. In the coming years, my focus is clear: I aim to deepen my impact in strategic HR, scale techenabled talent programs, and mentor emerging professionals My goal is to help shape workplaces where people feel empowered, valued, and genuinely inspired to bring their best selves to work every single day

• Stay future-ready by continuously learning and integrating emerging HR technologies and AIdriven solutions that enhance decision-making and employee experience

• Lead with purpose by designing initiatives that are both data-driven and deeply human-centered.

• Collaborate across functions to ensure that HR is not just a support function, but a strategic driver of business success.

What has always driven me is a deep conviction that HR is not just a function-it is a responsibility towards people. I have consistently viewed my role as a bridge between business needs and employee aspirations, ensuring both are aligned in a meaningful way What differentiates me is the ability to combine data-driven insights with empathetic execution. Initiatives like Project Nishtha, designed to strengthen early employee engagement, are examples of solutions that blend structure with sensitivity I believe it is this balance-persistence with compassion, execution with innovationthat has enabled me to create impact. Success for me is not measured merely in metrics, but in the trust built, the continuity preserved, and the culture strengthened

Q: Who has been your biggest inspiration or mentor in your journey, and how have they influenced your approach to work and leadership?

My journey has been deeply shaped by the mentors and role models in my life My first manager gave me the opportunity to begin my career, building my confidence and teaching me the discipline and consistency that became my foundation.

At Reliance Jio, my Manager and State HR Head further refined my philosophy of leadership. They showed me that true leadership is not about authority but about enabling-listening, building trust, and empowering people to succeed Their guidance gave me the courage to innovate and remain people-first, even in challenging circumstances At a personal level, my mother has been my greatest source of inspiration. She faced immense hardships with strength and grace, teaching me that resilience, integrity, and determination can overcome any challenge

trust, my leaders’ mentorship, and my mother’s resilience-have shaped me into a professional who balances empathy with execution, and ambition with humility

Q: What advice would you give to other young professionals who aspire to achieve similar success?

My advice is simple yet profound: persistence matters more than perfection Careers are not built in moments of glory but in the steady commitment to learn, adapt, and show up with consistency. For young professionals in HR, it is essential to cultivate both rigor and empathy-develop strong fundamentals, be meticulous with detail, but never lose sight of the human story behind every process. Success in HR lies not in managing systems, but in enabling people to thrive within them Keep learning, seek feedback with openness, and nurture relationships built on trust Above all, remember that true impact comes when you create workplaces where people feel respected, supported, and inspired When people grow, organizations flourish-and that is the real measure of success

Q: How do you balance ambition and personal growth with maintaining a healthy work-life balance?

For me, ambition is not a race to the top but a journey of sustainable growth. I approach balance by being intentional-prioritizing what truly matters and ensuring that wellness is seen as an enabler, not a compromise I firmly believe that professional excellence must rest on personal wellbeing. By setting boundaries, staying organized, and practicing self-care, I allow myself to be fully present in each role-whether at work or in personal life

Balance is not about equal division of time, but about alignment of energy and focus. I see wellness and ambition as complementary forces: when I am grounded and well, I can bring greater clarity, resilience, and creativity to my work This approach helps me grow not just as a professional, but as a person.

In the years ahead, I aspire to evolve into a strategic HR leader who influences culture, not just processes. My vision is to embed employee experience, wellness, and inclusion into the very fabric of organizational design Building upon my work in engagement and retention, I plan to deepen my expertise in Organization Development, HR analytics, and change management helping organizations move from reactive interventions to predictive, people-first strategies

OD excites me as it allows HR to move beyond operational execution and play a transformative role in shaping structures, systems, and behaviours that drive long-term success I want to contribute to building organizations that are not only efficient but also adaptable, innovative, and human-centric.

Alongside, I will continue to invest in my own development through advanced certifications, mentorship, and leadership programs My goal is to design HR ecosystems that are agile, humanized, and sustainable workplaces where people feel empowered to grow, contribute, and stay inspired In doing so, I hope to create impact not just within organizations, but across the evolving landscape of work itself

Q: Looking ahead, what are your goals for the next few years, and how do you plan to continue growing and making an impact in your field?

Looking ahead, my goals for the next few years as a campus recruiter and HR professional include enhancing our talent acquisition strategies to attract top-tier candidates and implementing innovative recruitment techniques to improve the candidate experience with the latest technology. Q: What drove you to succeed, and what do you think made you stand out for this award?

What drove me was a quiet but persistent voice that said, “Express yourself, impress yourself.” I’ve never fit neatly into one box I’m a strategist and a storyteller, a team player and a solo performer I’ve learned to embrace these contradictions and use them as strengths Whether it was building a 1000-book Corporate Cooperative Library with zero budget or designing QR-enabled learning catalogues, I’ve always focused on solving real problems with empathy and innovation My success has been driven by a deep conviction to follow my instincts even when it meant swimming against the tide. Choosing HR over finance and marketing, and prioritizing internships in Learning & Development over final placements, were pivotal moments What sets me apart is my commitment to designing people-centric solutions that are both resourceful and impactful I believe this award recognizes not just my achievements, but the values behind them and what made me stand out is not just what I’ve done, but how I’ve done it with conviction, creativity, and a deep respect for context

Q: Who has been your biggest inspiration or mentor in your journey, and how have they influenced your approach to work and leadership?

My mentors have been mirrors reflecting both my potential and my blind spots. I’ve been fortunate to work with mentors who challenged me to think beyond conventional HR practices. One mentor once reacted to my idea with, “Are you crazy?” but later called it a lifesaver That moment taught me the value of conviction and stakeholder alignment. But my biggest inspiration has been my own journey of selfdiscovery My mentors have helped me embrace uncertainty, navigate multigenerational workforces, and lead with empathy. Their influence has shaped my philosophy: context over concepts, preferences

over practices, and tactfulness over trends. These principles guide every solution I design and every team I collaborate with Through Toastmasters, acting, and countless late-night reflections, I’ve learned that leadership isn’t about having all the answers it’s about being real, being present, and being willing to grow. That’s the kind of leader I strive to be: grounded, curious, and courageously human

Q: What advice would you give to other young professionals who aspire to achieve similar success?

Don’t wait to be perfect to start Start where you are with your quirks, your questions, and your quiet courage. Embrace your contradictions; they’re not flaws, they’re facets. Take risks that align with your values, even if they defy logic like pursuing internships that stretch your capabilities or proposing unconventional ideas Build your own definition of success, and let it evolve. Success isn’t about following a linear path it’s about choosing what aligns with your values and strengths Most importantly, express yourself because every time you do, you’ll impress yourself And that self-trust will become your greatest asset. Build relationships, seek feedback, and stay curious Remember that your journey is unique own it with pride and purpose

Q: How do you balance ambition and personal growth with maintaining a healthy work-life balance?

I don’t chase balance I create rhythm Some days I’m a mental health advocate; other days I’m just someone who needs a good cry and a slice of pizza. I’ve learned to honor both. I integrate learning into my life through books, conversations, and reflection so growth feels organic, not forced I set boundaries, but I also give myself grace when I cross them. I’ve learned to prioritize what matters most in each moment, whether it’s delivering a highimpact project or taking time to recharge Ambition fuels my drive, but self-awareness sustains it Growth, for me, is not a race it’s a relationship And like any good relationship, it thrives on honesty, patience, and presence.

Q: Looking ahead, what are your goals for the next few years, and how do you plan to continue growing and making an impact in your field?

My goal is to deepen my impact in the HR space by designing scalable, inclusive learning ecosystems that are also deeply human I aim to explore the intersection of behavioral science, digital learning, organizational development and storytelling to create solutions that resonate across cultures and generations I also want to mentor emerging HR professionals and contribute to thought leadership in the field. Growth for me means evolving with purpose staying curious, embracing change, and continuing to build people-first strategies that drive business and human outcomes But beyond goals, I want to stay true to my essence: to keep expressing, keep evolving, and keep helping others do the same

Q: What drove you to succeed, and what do you think made you stand out for this award?

If I had to pin it down, my success is driven by an unwavering curiosity for people and their problems. I’ve always believed that every career setback, every challenge, has something to teach and I’ve made it a habit to learn more from my failures than my wins Reading anything that sparks thought, whether a book, a blog, or even a five-minute article, has kept me open and adaptable.

What makes me stand out, I believe, is the mix of my diverse experiences, global exposure, and the opportunity to work with some of the most prestigious brands. But if you ask me what really tips the balance, it’s the energy I bring to conversations I don’t just show up to talk I show up to connect, and that connection often leaves a mark.

Q: Who has been your biggest inspiration or mentor in your journey, and how have they influenced your approach to work and leadership?

Inspiration has never been scarce in my journey At the very top of that list is Leena Nair, now CEO of Chanel, whose career path from management trainee to the global HR leader of Unilever and then to the helm of a luxury giant proved to me that no dream is out of reach

But beyond icons, my growth has been nurtured by many hands. In college, Dr. Venkateswarlu Karumuri and Mr. Balamurali Bhaskaran guided me through early uncertainties In my corporate journey, mentors like Mr Gopinath Kothandapani, Mr Ravitej Narayanam, Ms. Kaisar Kothari, Mr. Rupesh Vanama, and Ms. Mourali Mukherjee helped me sharpen my craft and navigate tough transitions and are still in one or other shape and form

On a deeper level, I’m still on a journey to

discover my true spiritual guru. But until then, Mr. Mahesh Keregadde has been like a lighthouse a glance at his face itself will make you at peace, his smile speaks volumes He’s been steady, guiding, and showing me the path amidst the hustle and chaos of the corporate world. He reminds me that leadership is not only about goals and growth, but also about grounding and presence

Q: What advice would you give to other young professionals who aspire to achieve similar success?

My advice is simple but powerful: don’t wander without guidance Seek a mentor or career coach who can show you blind spots you might miss on your own early in your career. Learning from others’ mistakes is the quickest way to save yourself years of trial and error

At the same time, resist the urge to rush to conclusions. Careers are marathons, not sprints sometimes patience reveals opportunities you’d otherwise miss And above all, read widely Read things outside your field, outside your comfort zone Each new perspective adds a layer of depth to how you view people, problems, and possibilities.

Success isn’t about copying someone else’s path; it’s about shaping your own with awareness, courage, and curiosity.

Q: How do you balance ambition and personal growth with maintaining a healthy work-life balance?

For me, balance doesn’t come from strict schedules or drawing hard boundaries it comes from having the right energy around me My wife, Pratyoosha, is that energy She’s ambitious, aspirational, and truly my Midas touch. With her by my side, ambition feels less like a burden and more like a shared dream we’re chasing together She is the reason I can stretch myself at work without burning out, because she grounds me in what matters. The old saying that behind every

successful man is a strong woman might sound cliché, but in my life, it’s a reality I live every day Her presence allows me to keep growing without losing sight of who I am

Q: Looking ahead, what are your goals for the next few years, and how do you plan to continue growing and making an impact in your field?

The future, for me, is about impact As an HR professional and a career consultant, my mission is to help people discover and realize their potential. Whether that’s guiding someone through a tough career transition, helping them find confidence in their first role, or simply having honest conversations about where they are and where they want to go that’s where I see myself creating value.

In the next few years, I want to take that mission wider I envision building platforms where career conversations are accessible to anyone, where people can learn to channel their energy toward growth rather than mere survival. Because a career isn’t just a paycheck it’s a journey of becoming If I can play even a small part in helping others become the best version of themselves, I’d consider that my biggest success.

Somesh’s journey proves that careers aren’t linear they are crafted through resilience, curiosity, and the courage to stay authentic From drawing inspiration from global icons to leaning on the strength of personal relationships, his story is a reminder that success is never a solo act As he looks ahead, one thing is clear: Somesh is not just building his own path he’s clearing the way for others to walk theirs with confidence.

Q: What drove you to succeed, and what do you think made you stand out for this award?

What drives me is the belief that HR is not just about policies or processes, but about creating meaningful impact for both individuals and business outcomes. My transition from engineering to HR was fuelled by curiosity and a passion for solving real workplace challenges I strive to design solutions that are innovative, practical, data-driven, and impactful.

At Wipro, even in the early stages of my journey, I led initiatives that elevated employee engagement, fostered collaboration, and strengthened workplace culture at scale. What sets me apart for this award is my ability to blend creativity, strategic thinking, and problem-solving to turn ideas into scalable initiatives that deliver lasting impact I embrace challenges beyond my role and continuously seek new avenues to test my skills and grow.

Beyond my corporate role, I mentor students and share insights as a published HR writer across multiple platforms. True fulfilment, for me, comes from empowering people and shaping workplaces that inspire growth and learning

Q: Who has been your biggest inspiration or mentor in your journey, and how have they influenced your approach to work and leadership?

My biggest inspiration has never been a single individual, but the leaders and mentors I’ve had the privilege to learn from throughout my journey during internships and MBA to my role at Wipro I remember an early internship when a senior leader encouraged me to challenge the status quo and propose an idea I thought was too bold. That experience taught me that leadership isn’t about authority, it’s about trust, empowerment, and valuing diverse perspectives

Over the years, every interaction with business

and HR leaders reinforced this lesson. I’ve learned to approach challenges creatively, foster collaboration, and implement solutions that deliver both business impact and meaningful employee experiences. Their collective guidance inspires me to lead with curiosity, integrity, and purpose, and constantly strive to leave workplaces and people better than I found them These lessons continue to shape my approach to HR leadership and impact

Q: What advice would you give to other young professionals who aspire to achieve similar success?

My advice to young professionals is to embrace every experience as a learning opportunity, even those that seem small or unrelated as they often teach the lessons that shape your career. Do not wait for permission; take ownership and lead initiatives, because real growth comes when you step up and navigate challenges firsthand Look for opportunities to make an impact beyond your immediate role, and be open to try new approaches

Equally important is giving back Mentoring others, sharing knowledge, and supporting your peers not only strengthens your workplace but also deepens your own understanding Treat setbacks as stepping stones as every low is a chance to learn, adapt, and build resilience Above all, never stop learning. Stay curious, seek diverse perspectives, and push your boundaries. By combining initiative, empathy, and continuous growth, you can create meaningful impact and leave a lasting positive mark on both people and organizations

Q: How do you balance ambition and personal growth with maintaining a healthy work-life balance?

I balance ambition and personal growth with a healthy work-life balance by being intentional about how I spend my time and energy. I make it a point to step away from work to recharge and focus on activities I love such as mentoring, learning, and creating content on LinkedIn These not only keep me updated professionally but also allow me to engage in work that brings me joy and fulfilment. Equally important is setting boundaries and communicating them clearly, which helps me stay focused and maintain quality in both work and personal life I’ve also learned the value of asking for help and collaborating whenever possible, recognizing that seeking support strengthens outcomes and reduces unnecessary stress.

By combining purposeful routines, passions that energize me, and mindful collaboration, I am able to pursue ambitious goals, continuously grow, and sustain both my well-being and professional impact.

Q: Looking ahead, what are your goals for the next few years, and how do you plan to continue growing and making an impact in your field?

Looking ahead, my goal is to create meaningful impact in HR by designing initiatives that drive business results while enriching employee experiences I aspire to take on strategic responsibilities that allow me to shape workplace culture, foster engagement, and build scalable programs that empower both organizations and individuals to thrive I plan to continue learning and evolving by exploring emerging trends in HR, technology, and leadership and applying these insights to craft actionable solutions. Mentorship and knowledge-sharing will remain central to my journey, as I believe empowering others amplifies impact and builds stronger workplaces Beyond organizational initiatives, I aim to contribute thought leadership by writing, speaking, and sharing practical insights that inspire professionals and students. By combining strategic thinking, continuous learning, and a people-first approach, I hope to create workplaces that are not only future-ready but also environments where individuals feel valued, inspired, and capable of achieving their fullest potential.

Q: What drove you to succeed, and what do you think made you stand out for this award?

My journey has been driven by two defining forces – the resilience shaped through years of competitive sports and an unwavering belief in the mantra, “Nothing is Impossible.” As a National Gold Medallist in Martial Arts and a multi-sport national player, I learned early to thrive under pressure, adapt in real time, and see every setback as an opportunity for growth. These lessons naturally transitioned into my corporate career, where the challenges were different but equally demanding

In my HR role, especially in a region like Kashmir with its unique geographical and technological constraints, I applied the same discipline and strategic thinking that helped me succeed in sports From reducing critical role attrition, to improving retention, to designing innovative initiatives like a QR code–enabled rural sourcing campaign, my focus has always been on solving problems creatively while delivering measurable outcomes

What I believe set me apart for this award is not just achieving results at speed and scale, but doing so with empathy, inclusivity, and a strong sense of community impact For me, success is not measured solely by KPIs, but by the opportunities created for people, the trust built with teams, and the inspiration shared with those who aspire to break their own barriers It is this combination of discipline, purpose-driven work, and people-first approach that has driven me to become the best version of myself as an HR professional.

Q: Who has been your biggest inspiration or mentor in your journey, and how have they influenced your approach to work and leadership?

My greatest inspiration has been my mother – a working woman who managed professional responsibilities while raising a family with

resilience, grace, and unwavering determination. From the earliest days of my sports career to my transition into the corporate world, she stood as my loudest cheerleader and my most honest critic Her belief in my dreams gave me the courage to defy societal norms, travel beyond the familiar valleys of Kashmir, and embrace challenges others might shy away from Her influence is deeply woven into my working style. I saw her lead by example, balancing empathy with discipline – values I carry into my work every day. She taught me that self-leadership is not about authority, but about inspiring trust, creating opportunities, and helping people become the best versions of themselves.

Beyond my mother, mentors in my professional journey have shaped my ability to merge datadriven decision-making with people-centric strategies They have reinforced that a successful HR professional harmonizes business needs with human aspirations.

From my mother, I learned the power of resilience; from my mentors, I learned the value of strategic thinking. Together, their influence has helped me become an HR professional who can act decisively in high-pressure situations while still keeping people at the heart of every decision

Q: What advice would you give to other young professionals who aspire to achieve similar success?

My core advice is simple: own your journey and step boldly outside your comfort zone. Every significant milestone in my career came from embracing challenges that initially seemed daunting – relocating from Kashmir to a completely unknown city for my first corporate role, taking on statewide responsibilities within two years, or designing innovative HR solutions in a complex market. Growth rarely happens in safe spaces

Build resilience, because setbacks are inevitable. Sports taught me that a loss is never final unless

you stop trying – the same holds true in your career. Use each challenge as a training ground for mental strength, adaptability, and problemsolving

Invest in continuous learning, both formal and experiential. Stay curious about your industry, seek feedback, and be willing to evolve At the same time, develop a strong network Surround yourself with mentors, peers, and colleagues who challenge your thinking and inspire you to aim higher.

Measure your success not only by promotions or awards, but by the value you create – for your organization, your community, and yourself. And remember, success is a marathon, not a sprint. Consistency, patience, and a people-first mindset will take you much further than speed alone

Your career is your responsibility, so own it –with courage, integrity, and the determination to keep raising your own bar

Q: How do you balance ambition and personal growth with maintaining a healthy work-life balance?

For me, balance is less about rigid separation and more about intentional integration of my ambitions, personal growth, and well-being. My sports background has instilled a deep sense of discipline, which now anchors both my corporate and personal life I begin my mornings with structured fitness routines – not only to stay physically active, but also to set a positive, focused tone for the day.

In my role as State Talent Acquisition Executive, time management is critical I prioritize tasks, block time for deep work, and ensure that important but non-urgent goals, like learning and self-development, are never sidelined. I have learned that efficiency during working hours creates the space to enjoy life beyond work without feeling guilty or overextended.

Evenings and weekends are dedicated to pursuits that recharge me – spending time with family or simply reflecting on personal goals These moments keep me grounded and help maintain perspective, preventing burnout even during high-pressure periods.

I also see personal growth as an essential part of professional success Investing in hobbies, community work, and continuous learning enhances my creativity and problem-solving at work. Ambition fuels my drive; balance sustains it. It’s this equilibrium that allows me to show up fully, every single day

Q: Looking ahead, what are your goals for the next few years, and how do you plan to con nue growing and making an impact in your field?

In the next few years, I aim to expand my role into strategic HR roles at a national level, where I can influence policies, shape inclusive talent strategies, and contribute to building organizational cultures that are both highperforming and deeply people-centric I want to be at the intersection of business growth and human potential – ensuring that HR not only meets operational needs but also drives longterm competitive advantage

A core part of my future vision is scaling diversity and inclusion initiatives, particularly in underrepresented regions, so that talent from every background has access to opportunity

I also want to contribute to industry thought leadership by sharing insights from my unique journey – blending the resilience of a national athlete with the precision of a strategic HR professional

Ultimately, my goal is to create lasting impact –in boardrooms, in communities, and in the lives of individuals who will carry forward the values of resilience, inclusion, and purpose-driven life
