From 'In' and 'Out' tray of your printer, remove all the paper from both of them. From the device remove the top most tray i.e. the 'Out' tray. If right alignment done properly, the width adjuster will touch the left side of the index cards.

Now, put the 'Out' tray back into its place. To let your device able to print, change the properties of the printer. From the desktop of your PC, go to Start> Settings> Printers and then right click on your printer machine. Choose Properties and then select Paper or Set Up option.
