High Jewelry Signature Collection Lion

Gabrielle Chanel was born under the sign of Leo, her birthdate August 19, 1883. Like the lion, Mademoiselle was majestic, instinctive, radiant, powerful and fiercely protective of the things that were hers.

LION BROOCH A profusion of white diamonds creates a handsome frontal lion, while carefully calculated volumes ensure the most flattering portrait. Handcrafted in 18K white gold*, this High Jewelry brooch represents Leo, Mademoiselle’s zodiac sign. *White gold plated with thin layer of Rhodium for color.

HP MAGAZINE

In 1919, Gabrielle Chanel fled Paris to Venice, the city of the lion, devastated by the loss of her great love, Boy Capel. While there, under the watchful eye of the Lion of Venice, Coco found new inspiration and the courage to go on.

LION RING The ring's majestic pavé-diamond lion, handcrafted in 18K white gold*, stands boldly upon the summit of an internally flawless, custom 5.28-carat Marquise-cut diamond of radiant and staggering beauty. *White gold plated with thin layer of Rhodium for color.

HP MAGAZINE

Throughout her life, Mademoiselle always kept figures of lions, the emblem that would be engraved upon the buttons of tweed suits. Forever protecting Mademoiselle, the lion is the spirit of CHANEL High Jewelry.

LION NECKLACE A transformable lion necklace begins with a river of diamonds encircling the neck, creating a classic style when worn on its own. The detachable lion is added for a longer, bolder necklace, the Leo sign emblazoned with diamonds, amidst a constellation of pearcut, ovalcut and cushioncut diamonds and handcrafted in 18K white gold*. *White gold plated with thin layer of Rhodium for color.

INTERVIEW

How did you become a content creator? Maybe I am not the best example of a content creator. My work, studies and business lately don't allow me to so much content. What I can say is that the publications, cover magazines, tv shows and video musicals I have done, have been successful due to the organization and the team involved. In regards to the publications (Instagram especially), I think it is because I do postings of the real me, who I am and what I do. Most people do publications unreal, sexual or fake. Being you is the only way to be sustainable in time. How do you measure the content’s success? Yes I do. As I mentioned before most people exceed their publications with sexual content in order to gain an audience. That is unsustainable, and always will. leave watermark. How do you react when content bombs? I take always the time to reply to my followers and to people who comment and cheer for me.

HP MAGAZINE

Impact of social media in your life is a content creator? Yes definitely, companies reach me dor modelling, for fitness, for photography and I also find my interests. This exchange keeps me active and creative. Always exceeding and going over the top. How did you get started in the fitness field? I started many years ago. It all started when I was a teenager and I decided to lose weight and be more healthy. After so many years, I decided to level up by going to bodybuilding competitions. This has been a big step in my life. A step that only knows forward, harder, unstoppable. Describe your current train as unstoppable. I am preparing myself for the next competition, so as soon as I wake up I do my cardio then after classes and lunch I do my weights and abs workout followed by 20min of cardio. It is pretty intense but this is what needs to be done.

What type of exercises do you include in your routine to stay in shape? For my cardio workout, I use EMS (Electro Muscle Stimulation). It has been scientifically proven that increases fat burning and metabolism more than doing cardio or weight alone. I do my weights workout 3 days a week lower body and 2 times a week upper body 1-day cardio and 1-day rest. I also during the week include hot yoga. What would you like to achieve in the fitness/bodybuilding long term? I would like to win as many competitions as I can. This will help me to gain exposure to big fitness companies, and become an ambassador/model for magazines and supplements. From a personal aspect, that exposure will help me with my business project. I am currently designing my own fitness clothing line 'LA PALMER FIT' What 3 tips would you give to anyone wanting to achieve their best physique?

HP MAGAZINE

My best advice is to start! Regardless if it is a short or long workout. It is all about building the habit. Make an effort, find your motivation and make your first good action. That good action will lead you to others. What is the best advice you’ve ever been given? When I was a teenager and I decided to start losing weight, one family friend introduce me to the Atkins diet and bought the book for me. That changed my life absolutely and for the very best. What are some of the top reasons to invest in and visit Miami? Miami always has been the capital of the world. Currently, there is a lot of development ongoing, this is translated into high demand for homes, roads and hospitality services, give to investors the opportunity to have a profitable business. The warm weather, the variety of cultures and the contrast between art, fashion, automobile and entertainment make Miami a must to visit the city.

ARE YOU BEAUTIFUL? YES I AM

Each one of us don’t accept ourselves as we are inspite we keep on seeking more flaws in ourselves. There is no perfect definition of beauty as beauty is always perceived differently by each individual - as it says “beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder”. The term beauty is always shaped by the people of our society which is absolutely vague. But this standard which is framed by people actually has affected the true standard of beauty. Everyone of us just blindly follows the standard beauty without realizing the actual meaning of beauty. Social media has also played a vital role in shaping beauty standards. It has always shown that to be beautiful one has to be fair complexioned without any spot and perfect body shape. Media has always portrayed the ideal body type in magazines, television programs. And people who have freckles, cellulite, stretch marks, overweight, thin, tall, short or any other flaws are regarded as ugly or unattractive. These unrealistic beauty standards are taught to girls to achieve from a very young age. They grew up by following these standards and it gets so into their mind that they can do any possible way to achieve that unrealistic ideal type. In order to achieve that they may suffer from various physical and mental problems like - eating disorder, dysmorphia.

After attaining a certain age girls go for various kinds of cosmetic surgery like - botox, chin surgery, cheek lift, chemical peel, cosmetic dentistry and many more in order to look perfect. While going through these dangerous and painful processes it may sometimes go wrong which in turn makes them suffer more. They also go through mental issues like anxiety, depression. They mentally break down so much that it hampers their other important things in life education, relationship with family members and friends. They can’t perform well in any way, lose interest in everything and also become unsocial. While growing up everyone faces their share of criticism and so do I. Each and every person I came across has reminded me how improper I was which deeply affected my self esteem and also hampered my self confidence. I was always referred to as “skinny” and “dark” which makes me feel like I don’t fall under this socalled perfect beauty standard. It keeps on hitting my mind that I was different and ugly. But I was unaware of the fact that being different is what makes one beautiful. Each person is different and beautiful in their way in this world. It takes a while to accept the way I am. I started to love my underweight skinny body, the color of my body and each and every imperfection which makes me perfect.

There are different ways for each one of us to help ourselves to encourage that we are not less than anyone else. We are beautiful the way we are. We have to define the definition of beauty in our way because there is no such strict definition of women’s beauty. It always varies from person to person. The media and society will always play their role to convey messages of unrealistic beauty but we have to help ourselves by defining beauty our own way. Being yourself and different from others is what makes us beautiful enough. Though recently beauty standards have changed. Media is portraying individuals with flaws in magazines, television programs. It's a relief for the coming generation as they don’t have to deal with the unrealistic beauty standards of society. It is so encouraging to watch famous personalities and influencers promote beauty standards by not following the ideal beauty type

THE ECLIPSE SERIES

Watchmaking, the art which combines aesthetics and mechanics. On one hand, the aesthetics on the dial of the timepiece, and on the other hand the mechanic which is the heart of the timepiece. An exquisite combination of both creates a luxury watch. The new series that is represented by Antonio Boggati is inspired by the eclipse phenomenon. An eclipse is an astronomical event that occurs when one celestial body is temporarily obscured, bypassing into the shadow of another body or by having another body pass between it and the viewer. The term eclipse is used to describe a solar or a lunar eclipse which is either total or partial. In this case, the designer Antonio Boggati immortalizes a partial solar eclipse during which the moon covers a part of the sun in an annulus creating a luminous ring. How beautiful and unique, one of the most impressive phenomena of space to be depicted on a watch dial that inhales art and exhales luxury. "The Eclipse Series" is a series that combines exaggeration, elegance, and luxury. It is a series based on the first series of the brand, "Couple La Paris Series", maintaining the asymmetrical and modern design that is the identity of the Antonio Boggati brand. The series "The Eclipse Series", is a limited edition, with a Swiss movement, sapphire crystal, premium leather, and 316L high-quality steel. All the details inside the watch are embossed with special patterns to create the feeling of space. In order of making it much more stunning, the brand designer added a touch of a pair of two asymmetrical Swarovski elliptical curves to the watch case, creating a work of art.

BEAUTY

The cleansing step in your skincare routine is not only the first step, but arguably the most important. Clean skin is happy skin; and it creates a blank canvas for the rest of your regimen. What’s tricky about cleansers, though, is that they have a bad rep of being harsh and drying in order to achieve that deep-cleansing effect. At Biossance, harsh formulas are not part of our M.O., so we decided to master the cleanse to provide a product that achieves the pore clarifying benefits we all search for, while also revealing hydrated and healthy skin. We know what you’re thinking—isn’t that what our Squalane + Tea Tree Cleansing Gel achieved? We know how much you all love that formula, but that’s why you have to trust us when we say we’ve created something even better. As an innovative beauty brand constantly re-evaluating our products and formulas to provide the best in clean skincare for our customers, so meet our Squalane + Amino Aloe Gentle Cleanser, your new go-to formula for clean, happy skin. It’s a universal cleanser that’s not only effective at keeping your face clean, but our oceans clean as well. Believe us when we say it’s everything you’ve ever wanted and more for the first step of your routine. Heathy Skin, Healthy Oceans Ingredients are important to us and to the well-being of our oceans. Every beauty product starts and ends in the environment—from where the ingredients are sourced to where it goes when it rinses away. That’s why we paid close attention to what we used to formulate our new breakthrough. It was important to create something that not only delivered powerful results, but also stayed true to our commitment to our oceans. Many cleansers contain detergents that can linger even after wastewater is treated, but our new Squalane + Amino Aloe Gentle Cleanser is different. It’s formulated with pure, sustainable ingredients from the lab that allow water to return to the source in a pristine state. Your skin stays fresh, restored, and purified. And our oceans stay healthy, unpolluted, and thriving.

WEAR MAKEUP OR NOT! THAT’S COMPLETELY ALRIGHT Is makeup the only thing that makes one look beautiful? I guess most of us will say NO! There are many reasons why people wear makeup. There could be a lot of reasons but I will be mentioning the one that I came through. The reasons I am going to mention, maybe everyone out there will agree, it's just that what I have come through these years I am sharing. The first reason is that makeup makes one feel confident. This statement may not be applicable to everyone but there are individuals for whom makeup is a blessing. This is something which actually covers all our flaws like blemishes, acne, and dark spots and makes us look more beautiful and appealing. Looking good is not bad, if someone is feeling great after covering or hiding their flaws then it's completely all right. It's their skin, they can do whatever they want and however, they want to carry themselves. Sometimes it's easy to say that a natural look is what people should show and not by covering themselves under makeup but that’s not true. There are individuals who have faced and been facing a lot of flaws in their faces. They are so conscious about their barefaced that they

lose their confidence and it is because they face bullies about their imperfect face. So for survival if they feel like wearing makeup can make them feel better then I would say just go for it. I can give examples of dramas where it has portrayed how much girls had to face bullies if they were born with imperfect faces. I will mention Korean dramas ( True Beauty, My ID is Gangnam Beauty, Birth of a Beauty, She Was Pretty) as I have seen quite some of them in this context. There must be more movies and dramas on this theme which shows the ugly side of being imperfect, how to suffer being born with an imperfect face and the only survival becomes makeup which hides their flawed face and gives them the power of confidence. But as I have mentioned, it's fine to be without makeup and accept the way we are. Be you, be beautiful. The second reason is that makeup is an art. Not everyone is good at the art of cooking, writing, painting, singing or dancing but makeup is an art in which women can do good with just a little effort. This is a form of art in which you can do a lot of exploration from bold to very basic one. There are no limitations to this form of art. This is also not gender-

HP MAGAZINE

48

based, all genders can explore the art of makeup. You can see women, and men wearing makeup for magazines and show to drag queens and kings. Makeup started just to hide or cover facial imperfection and now it's just doing wonders through crazy explorations. The last reason is that makeup has become such an important part of everyone’s life that it’s really sad that individuals have forgotten the true natural beauty which is being in your own imperfect skin. It's not always covering up your flaws to look perfect, it's about how you look beautiful being different with your flaws. It has become so important for everyone that no one gets out of their home without wearing makeup - it may be a basic one or a heavy one but playing an important part in every individual's life. Even popular celebs don’t go out without makeup which influences the younger generation on how important it is to look perfect and hide your imperfection.

BEAUTY

The reason may be whatever, it's totally up to you whether people out there wear makeup or not, everything is valid till you feel good about it and does not hurt anyone’s feelings. If it makes you feel best then go for it or if not then be in your own skin that’s also completely all right. It's your happiness which matters at the end of the day. So just do whatever makes you feel beautiful, look beautiful and most importantly make you feel confident.

Oribe's New Hair Alchemy Collection

HP MAGAZINE

BEAUTY

If your hair seems more fragile than normal, you're not alone. Breakage and fallout is all too common, which is why Oribe's latest collection, a three-step system targeting resilience called Hair Alchemy, is designed to get to the root of the problem. "I'm finding that 30 percent of my clients are noticing more breakage and shedding, and are looking for ways to combat those issues," Oribe's global educator, Christian Ceja-Compin, says. Hair Alchemy's shampoo, conditioner, and treatment serum aim to prevent breakage before it even starts. "Prevention has always been a main category in skin care, and now is starting to make its way into hair care as consumers become increasingly more savvy," Gabriella Raccuia, Oribe's product development manager, explains. "Prevention from hair breakage is important, because unlike your skin, which can regenerate itself, hair breakage is irreversible." In the era of COVID-19, and its high levels of stress, the hair category has come under particular scrutiny with complaints of hair thinning rising to the fore. As you attempt to thicken and grow out your hair, you might find the strands to be particularly fragile and difficult to rehabilitate. This makes it nearly impossible to reach longer lengths, healthy shine, and body, with rough texture and split ends plaguing hair in the interim. But this is just one type of hair woe that the collection seeks to address; as mentioned, its beauty is in its preventive line of approach. WHAT CAUSES HAIR BREAKAGE? "There are a few factors that can cause hair breakage," Ceja-Compin says. "The most common include heat styling, aggressive brushing, and wearing hair in a tight ponytail." For these types of behavioral causes of hair breakage, he recommends using creamy products that protect against heat damage (the leave-in Fortifying Hair Serum provides protection from thermal damage up to 450 degrees), detangling gently, sleeping on a silk pillowcase, and using preventive products.
