Watchmaking, the art which combines aesthetics and mechanics. On one hand, the aesthetics on the dial of the timepiece, and on the other hand the mechanic which is the heart of the timepiece. An exquisite combination of both creates a luxury watch. The new series that is represented by Antonio Boggati is inspired by the eclipse phenomenon.

An eclipse is an astronomical event that occurs when one celestial body is temporarily obscured, bypassing into the shadow of another body or by having another body pass between it and the viewer.

The term eclipse is used to describe a solar or a lunar eclipse which is either total or partial. In this case, the designer Antonio Boggati immortalizes a partial solar eclipse during which the moon covers a part of the sun in an annulus creating a luminous ring. How beautiful and unique, one of the most impressive phenomena of space to be depicted on a watch dial that inhales art and exhales luxury.

"The Eclipse Series" is a series that combines exaggeration, elegance, and luxury. It is a series based on the first series of the brand, "Couple La Paris Series", maintaining the asymmetrical and modern design that is the identity of the Antonio Boggati brand. The series "The Eclipse Series", is a limited edition, with a Swiss movement, sapphire crystal, premium leather, and 316L high-quality steel. All the details inside the watch are embossed with special patterns to create the feeling of space. In order of making it much more stunning, the brand designer added a touch of a pair of two asymmetrical Swarovski elliptical curves to the watch case, creating a work of art.

Hi, could you start by telling us a bit about yourself?

I am a girl, a dreamer but who also makes these dreams happen with my effort, I came from a very humble family and I try to win life every day with willpower, humility and determination!

Tell us about your journey so far.

My journey is to be better every day, wake up to thank you for life and try to be the best today than I was yesterday, and thus be able to provide my best to those who are close to me!

How would you describe your style?

I like to follow my own style when dressing, I use what can be seen as something interesting, the way we dress says a lot about who we are.

Tell me about your experience as a model.

I got into fashion from a very young age, at 13 years old, I was already parading and participating in everything I could within fashion. I really already knew what I wanted from an early age.

How has your life changed since then? my life has been evolving according to what I'm striving to be recognized every day, and after moving to Dubai everything has been gradually growing.

A lot of your influence comes from social media. That’s great because it allows you to control your image. But is it also limiting, because it’s so one-sided?

Social networks today are the eyes of the world, and we have to use them wisely because those who see them often want to mirror what they see, I think it's very good but at the same time, we have to moderate it so we don't pass something the opposite of what we think, after all, we are not always well interpreted because even being the eyes of the world it is also very one-sided.

How would you describe your talents to someone who doesn’t get it?

Talent is a gift that each person has, I have mine and I believe that I don't care who wants to learn, we just can't try to take the next person's strength after all this is very individual, but whoever wants to learn and also teach me something good I think is very valid.

2020 has been the strangest of years, how did you find lockdown? Any lessons or discoveries?

For some 2020 was a very difficult year, I say it was the year I grew up and learned as a human being, because it was the year that brought us together with one purpose, to take care of ourselves and take care of those we love, so I see 2020 as a year of union and growth.

Who have been some of your favourite collaborators so far in the industry?

I had many, but I can't say that I have a favorite after all, they all brought me good results and still do.

What first piqued your interest in fashion and modelling?

The way the models were confident made me want to get into fashion.

What is the biggest highlight of your career so far?

I believe that Miss Bela World United Arab Emirates 2022 is bringing me a great spotlight for life in fashion and also for other areas.

Do you have a favourite designer or high street brand?

My favorite brand is Dior, but I have street brands that I also think are amazing, so I wear whatever I like What is your greatest strength?

My strongest point is the insistence of going after my dreams and helping the people I love and also helping the needy.

What are your goals as a model?

My goal in fashion is to fulfill myself first and then to convey a message that fashion is not just about external beauty but also internal beauty.

This sartorial revival culture, however, begs the question of the existence of true originality.

The Dutch designer has become something of a cult hero for her distinct type of science fashion.

Her designs are futuristic which is mesmerizing. She combined the metaverse with haute couture and 8th Century literature to mark the label’s 15th anniversary. Her designs are mostly appreciated and known as a transformative force in fashion. She again showcased her innovative talent for combining technology and craftsmanship with a future fashion outlook to present an haute couture collection. She is a career born from a technical arts degree and celebrated another breathtaking presentation.

Iris Van Herpen’s collections for autumn/winter 2022 couture, inspired by Ovid's ‘Metamorphoses’ poem. Her designs highlight intricate craftsmanship, fusing 3D printing to create her signature shredded kirigami form with sustainability using a biodegradable fabric originating from a species of banana called ‘Abaca’. It’s a process where fibres are extracted from the banana plant’s stem and combined with raw silk, as well as upcycled organza. watching the living, breathing craftsmanship of Van Herpen’s three-dimensional masterpieces is all the spoils we need. The wrapped organza Aphrodite gowns billowed in dramatic proportions, the extreme bronze flaming bodysuit with the beautiful soft sheer silk and sculptural claw fasteners embroidered with the feminine form.

She has become a spotlight name for the annual Met Gala fantastical. Solange Knowles, Grimes, Winnie Harlow and Lady Gaga have all worn her gravitydefying looks, some so spectacularly theatrical they’ve become instantly iconic. Van Herpen’s boundary-pushing is challenging the industry, responsible ways to produce truly unique, avant-garde fashion. She showcased 16 designed outfits which looked organic and alive, some seemed to be so real that they looked like they were growing and moving around the models. And others had insects or some kind of creature's wings and tendrils. She explains that as we attend more and more digital events our acceptance of the neo-world, and our own inevitable augmented personas, will extend to eventually desiring to be digitally well dressed, too.

The truth is the next generation of fashion lovers will most likely purchase as much physical fashion as they will NFT alternate reality design. She also showcased the first vegan haute couture dress in collaboration with ice cream brand Magnum,

which was made from cocoa bean husks that have been processed to create a fully organic biopolymer material. The dress features intricate details including plant-like body embellishments, which are copper-coated, draped and entwined with upcycled organza, while other 3D elements were printed using innovative SLS technology. Van Herpen said in a statement: “As a designer, I have always worked to push the boundaries of design and this collaboration has really allowed us to take this one step further by linking the ingredients of an iconic Magnum Vegan to create an Haute Couture design. The opportunity to work with the brand on such innovation in sustainable fashion has been a very special experience.”

There is no perfect definition of beauty as beauty is always perceived differently by each individual - as it says “beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder”. The term beauty is always shaped by the people of our society which is absolutely vague. But this standard which is framed by people actually has affected the true standard of beauty. Every one of us just blindly follows the standard beauty without realizing the actual meaning of beauty. Social media has also played a vital role in shaping beauty standards. It has always been shown that to be beautiful one has to be fair complexioned without any spots and have a perfect body shape. The media has always portrayed the ideal body type in magazines and television programs. And people who have freckles, cellulite, stretch marks, are overweight, thin, tall, short or any other flaws are regarded as ugly or unattractive.

These unrealistic beauty standards are taught to girls to achieve from a very young age. They grew up following these standards and it gets so into their mind that they can do any possible way to achieve that unrealistic ideal type. In order to achieve that they may suffer from various physical and mental problems like - eating disorders, and dysmorphia.

After attaining a certain age girls go for various kinds of cosmetic surgery like - botox, chin surgery, cheek lift, chemical peel, cosmetic dentistry and many more in order to look perfect. While going through these dangerous and painful processes it may sometimes go wrong which in turn makes them suffer more. They also go through mental issues like - anxiety, and depression. They mentally break down so much that it hampers their other important things in life education, relationships with family members and friends. They can’t perform well in any way, lose interest in everything and also become unsocial.

While growing up everyone faces their share of criticism and so do I. Each and every person I came across has reminded me of how improper I was which deeply affected my self-esteem and also hampered my self-confidence. I was always referred to as “skinny” and “dark” which makes me feel like I don’t fall under this so-called perfect beauty standard. It keeps on hitting my mind that I was different and ugly. But I was unaware of the fact that being different is what makes one beautiful. Each person is different and beautiful in their way in this world. It takes a while to accept the way I am. I started to love my underweight skinny body, the colour of my body and each and every imperfection which makes me perfect.

There are different ways for each one of us to help ourselves to encourage that we are not less than anyone else. We are beautiful the way we are. We have to define the definition of beauty in our way because there is no such strict definition of women’s beauty. It always varies from person to person. The media and society will always play their role to convey messages of unrealistic beauty but we have to help ourselves by defining beauty in our own way.

others are what make us beautiful enough. Though recently beauty standards have changed. The media is portraying individuals with flaws in magazines, and television programs. It's a relief for the coming generation as they don’t have to deal with the unrealistic beauty standards of society. WEAR MAKEUP OR NOT! THAT’S COMPLETELY ALRIGHT Is makeup the only thing that makes one look beautiful? I guess most of us will say NO! There are many reasons why people wear makeup. There could be a lot of reasons but I will be mentioning the one that I came through. The reasons I am going to mention, maybe everyone out there will agree, it's just that what I have come through these years I am sharing.

The first reason is that makeup makes one feel confident. This statement may not be applicable to everyone but there are individuals for whom makeup is a blessing. This is something which actually covers all our flaws like blemishes, acne, and dark spots and makes us look more beautiful and appealing.

Looking good is not bad, if someone is feeling great after covering or hiding their flaws then it's completely all right. It's their skin, they can do whatever they want and however, they want to carry themselves. Sometimes it's

easy to say that a natural look is what people should show and not by covering themselves under makeup but that’s not true. There are individuals who have faced and been facing a lot of flaws in their faces. They are so conscious about their barefaced that they lose their confidence and it is because they face bullies about their imperfect faces. So for survival if they feel like wearing makeup can make them feel better then I would say just go for it. I can give examples of dramas where it has portrayed how much girls had to face bullies if they were born with imperfect faces. I will mention Korean dramas ( True Beauty, My ID is Gangnam Beauty, Birth of a Beauty, She Was Pretty) as I have seen quite some of them in this context. There must be more movies and dramas on this theme which shows the ugly side of being imperfect, how to suffer being born with an imperfect face and the only survival becomes makeup which hides their flawed face and gives them the power of confidence. But

as I have mentioned, it's fine to be without makeup and accept the way we are. Be you, be beautiful.

The second reason is that makeup is an art. Not everyone is good at the art of cooking, writing, painting, singing or dancing but makeup is an art in which women can do good with just a little effort. This is a form of art in which you can do a lot of exploration from bold to very basic one. There are no limitations to this form of art. This is also not genderbased, all genders can explore the art of makeup. You can see women, and men wearing makeup for magazines and show to drag queens and kings. Makeup started just to hide or cover facial imperfection and now it's just doing wonders through crazy explorations.

The last reason is that makeup has become such an important part of everyone’s life that it’s really sad that individuals have forgotten the true natural beauty which is being in your own imperfect skin. It's not always covering up your flaws to look perfect, it's about how you look beautiful being different with your flaws. It has become so important for everyone that no one gets out of their home without wearing makeup - it may be a basic one or a heavy one but playing an important part in every individual's life.

Even popular celebs don’t go out without makeup which influences the younger generation on how important it is to look perfect and hide your imperfection.

The reason may be whatever, it's totally up to you whether people out there wear makeup or not, everything is valid till you feel good about it and does not hurt anyone’s feelings. If it makes you feel best then go for it or if not then be in your own skin that’s also completely all right. It's your happiness which matters at the end of the day. So just do whatever makes you feel beautiful, look beautiful and most importantly make you feel confident.

UNFOLLOWING THE BEAUTY STANDARDS OF SOCIAL MEDIA We all know how important social media is in each and every aspect of our lives. Influencers, celebrities, and models have been portraying a lifestyle which creates an illusion in our minds that what we need to achieve is their lifestyle but we don’t want to see the deeper side of it. We just get excited just by what they show and do not even think about the reality which is hidden in every story. We just blindfold ourselves with what we see on social media and follow them without even trying to look or think about the real side of it. Whatever we see is absolutely perfect but do we even have the time to think about how everything can be so perfect? If we are not perfect then how come the people around us are living and looking so perfect? All these are vague.

Is it possible for each one of us to look perfect? I don’t think that is even possible. We are human beings and imperfection is what we are born with. Then why society

expects that women have to be fair and perfect body shape and men to be more muscular. Why are there certain beauty standards that have to be fulfilled by every individual in our society or else we are not accepted the way we are? In order to live peacefully and happily, we have to follow whatever society has made rules.

These rules and the unrealistic beauty standards that society has constructed are not possible to achieve that. These are the standards we people have created in social media in the name of society and also encourage people one way or the other to achieve this unrealistic goal. And this is on us to change this mentality of people around us that how to defeat this kind of thinking for once and for all.

This can be achieved just by accepting the way we are with our flaws. We shouldn’t forget that we are born with this imperfection which makes us different and beautiful.

You can help yourself and no one else can do it. So instead of following social media beauty standards, focus on yourself. Look at yourself and try to see what features in yourself that you like the most, try to cherish those every day and celebrate, feel good about it that you have such beautiful features. If you start to love and accept yourself then everybody else will do so. It's always you who has to have the courage to accept yourself first then you can accept that from others.

Look at the mirror and praise yourself regularly, this will help to grow your self-esteem and confidence. If you can face yourself and accept yourself then there is nothing which can stop you from loving yourself.

Self-care is very important. If you can accept yourself then you have to take care of yourself which indirectly makes you feel good.

Whenever you get time just try something like - meditating, trying new haircuts and hairstyles, trying new styles, taking care of your skin, listening to music to boost your mood, doing something which you love, going for a walk and spending time in nature. Do whatever makes you feel good and look good.

There will be a lot of content that will manipulate you but you have to believe in yourself and try to focus on what is better for your growth and happiness.
