Quick HP Envy 4520 Airprint Setup • • • •

Use the AirPrint feature to print documents from Apple devices. Confirm the printer and iOS device satisfies these requirements in order to use the AirPrint feature. Ensure the AirPrint feature is supported in HP Envy 4520 and the Apple device runs on iOS 4.2 or later. Make sure the HP Envy 4520 has an effective connection. Confirm that both the Apple device and the Envy 4520 are connected to the same network. See if the printer supports HP Wireless Direct or Wi-Fi Direct. Print the document and if you see a No AirPrint printers found error message, establish a wireless connection between the Apple device and Envy 4520.
Disconnect the Ethernet or USB cable and connect the printer to the network. Print the document and see if you are able to print using AirPrint. If no, then use Wi-Fi Direct or HP Wireless Direct to print the document. Search for the Wi-Fi Direct/HP Wireless Direct button or an icon on the HP Envy 4520 Mobile Printing printer control panel. The solid blue light next to that button should be On. Touch Wi-Fi Direct/HP Wireless Direct. If not, press Wi-Fi Direct/HP Wireless Direct. Select Settings -> Wi-Fi on the Apple iOS device. Locate the Choose a network menu and select the name of the 123.hp.com printer. Select the name with DIRECT. The password (12345678) should be entered when it prompts. Open the document and select Share -> Print or the Print icon. Search for the Printer Options menu and tap Select Printer. Click the printer’s name and tap Options. Change the necessary settings and select the number of copies. Choose the Print button.
