Every country has a 4th of July. But only ours is Independence Day! Say it proudly! ***** Howe Youth Softball will be hosting a free youth softball camp for any players 6U and up. Pack plenty of water and softball equipment. The time will be 6:30-8:00 PM at the youth softball fields. Monday July 10th- Hitting and base running; Monday July 17thCatching and Pitching; Monday July 24th- Infield/Outfield; Monday July 31st- Put it all together/ Fun day ***** When you have a paper due every Monday, it’s not often that we get to take time off and leave town, but that’s exactly what happened last Monday through Wednesday. The Illinois River in Tahlequah, Oklahoma never disappoints, however, it rained on us much of the nine miles. Oh well, it was still fun. ***** Some people are lining up sides before all the County Commissioner Precinct 1 candidates have announced. Remember how late Dawsey got in the race? One thing I feel quite sure of is that the race will be clean without the recent ugliness.
