Howe’s Fall Festival is Saturday night at Howe Middle School. It’s a tradition in Howe that dates back to 1973 and was originally hosted by the Howe Area Chamber of Commerce. If you like fried food, this is your place. ***** The Chamber’s Downtown Howe-lloween Festival is Saturday, October 29 from 6pm—8pm. Bring your costumes. To be a vendor, contact the chamber at 532-6080. ***** There will not be early voting in Howe this year. Howe’s voting location at 700 W. Haning Street will only be available on voting day which is November 8 from 7 am to 7 pm. Conservatives say it’s the only way they can have a fair chance of winning against fraudulent elections anyway. The MAGA people of Arizona proved this to be the case as they refused to early vote and stormed the polls on election day and successfully elected MAGA candidate Kari Lake as the Republican nominee. They believe that early voting allowed a head start tally for some of the shenanigans that took place during the 2020 presidential election where mounds of evidence show massive amounts of voter fraud all over the country. One day voting, eliminating mail-in ballots (except for obvious reasons), and strengthening voter ID laws should be no-brainer options for America where the privilege of voting is the most sacred way We The People have power over Selected officials. Howe opens district play with 34-3 shelling of Leonard. Bulldogs to travel west to face #1 ranked Gunter Friday The Howe Bulldogs (51, 1-0) have won a district game for the first time in nearly three years. And they didn’t just win—they dominated the Leonard Tigers (42, 0-1) by only allowing three points and 27 rushing yards to a team that was averaging 35 points per game and 169.4 rushing yards per game. Howe has had plenty of naysayers questioning the legitimacy of the four wins in non-district, but Leonard was ranked 33rd in the Padilla poll, whereas Howe was slot-
ted in the 54th slot. But Friday’s 34-3 Bulldog win will present a major shift in those numbers. Coming into the season, Howe knew that they would be potent on offense with the school’s all-time leading passer Austin Haley returning for his fourth year of running the offense. But no one expected Howe to dominate defensively as they have throughout the first six games of the season. Howe’s 18.5 points per game allowed is the

Howe to discuss new planned development at upcoming city council meeting The Howe Planning & Zoning Commission and the City Council will be discussing and possibly taking action on a zoning change for a planned development at the intersection on Ponderosa Road and US. Highway 75 just north of Howe High School. The development calls for commercial and residential mixed use such as apartments, town homes, and single-family homes.
Howe City Administrator Jeff Stanley says zone change that is proposed will take the property from SF-1 (single family homes) to a PD (planned development). “The owners of the property have plans to develop the 122 acres into a very nice development,” said Stanley.

HOWE, Texas – A call for a medical emergency at a residence in Howe this morning led police to finding more than a halfpound of methamphetamine.
That prelim performance was good enough to earn them a spot in the finals that evening where they marched again at 8 pm. Of the 10 bands in the finals, only three were 3A bands with the other seven coming from the 4A ranks. Howe eventu-
