We finally had some rain last week. It had been so long, I literally forgot where the windshield wiper switch was. ***** The MAGA party seems to be unleashing on the establishment Republican party. Last week, Wyoming Representative Liz Cheney, who is heading up the January 6 show trial, was plummeted on voting day. Of the 10 Republicans that voted to impeach Trump, eight are now exiting their seats. ***** For the first time since 1967, there is not a Bush, Cheney, or Clinton holding office or appointment in Washington D.C. ***** Grammar matters— After the city council meeting Tuesday, former Howe Enterprise owner Dale Rideout asked me if I caught grief over the front page. Not understanding, he noted that I said a girl was twice the size from a year ago. This brought on a great panic. You see, the color guard has doubled in size from a year ago. But we didn’t state it very clearly. We had a picture of Kara Wimbish of the color guard with the caption below “Kara Wimbish is a color guard member that is twice the size of 2021.” That attractive young lady, who is also a cheerleader, obviously hasn’t doubled in size and we apologized to her. She thought it was funny, thankfully. Each week we have crazy grammar errors. Howe fun. Lady Bulldogs gearing up for district play
The 2022 Howe Bulldogs The Howe Bulldogs football program began in 1935 with a September 20 game at Tioga where the boys of the Great Depression rode in a flatbed trailer for their first ever game sanctioned under the UIL. Except for a 10-year period from 1948-1957, the Dogs have suited up and hit the grid every fall since and have amassed a 389-381-24 overall record. The overall winning record indicates the program has been a good one, but with a 22-game losing streak, Howe is closer to .500 than at any point since that first season when they finished 6 -4 in 1935. Howe, with a new head coach in Lance Bryan and a more favorable schedule looks to end the streak and kickstart the winning tradition
