Longtime KXII weatherman refuses jab, loses job Last week we got word that a football parent said I was killing the team (meaning the varsity football team). I honestly feel like the biggest Bulldogs fan maybe of alltime so that cut pretty hard. After writing a 1,500 word “Montetorial” on the subject and bouncing it off the wife—it was decided best to take the high road and Control-A, delete. I’m a fan of the Bulldogs and I can’t apologize for pointing out any successes that they are achieving, whether as a team or individuals. When I coached them, I constantly told them that I loved each and every one of them. That doesn’t change—win, lose, or overtime. Trust me, it is painstaking to write about their losses. Sometimes objectivity sees a beautiful rose. Sometimes it is painfully the opposite. But none of it changes my support and admiration of our hometown team. Dogs—I love each and every one of you. At 5:20 pm on Tuesday, the Howe Fire Department was called to assist Gunter for a grass fire at FM 902 and Fallon Rd. Chamber has vendor spaces open for Downtown Howe -lloween Festival The Howe Area Chamber of Commerce has vendor spaces open for the annual Downtown Howe-lloween Festival scheduled for October 30. The west side of Haning Street (including the middle of the street) has filled up for the most part, but the east side of the alley is wide open.
