Lady Bulldogs win first district game since 2019
HHS Students of the Month were pictured in last week’s edition, but names were left off. They were freshmen Layla Terry and Charles Turner, sophomores Matilee Stewart and Mahlon Walker, juniors Caleb Hix and Joyce Tovar, seniors Luke Lopez and Zoey Moore. We know one of those kids very well and the only way we find out things like this is the same as you find out. ***** Everyone loves the honest person until the honest person strikes a chord with a truth they were not ready to receive. ***** I mistakenly said that “The Man in the Arena” by Teddy Roosevelt was a poem. It obviously is not. It was part of a speech entitled “Citizenship in a Republic” at the Sorbonne in Paris on April 23, 1910. Keep Howe Chicago Tribute Authority Beautiful Texas to be in concert at HHS, holding trashbenefits scholarship fund off, seeking new members The Keep Howe Beautiful organization has selected Nov. 6 as the “Howe Trash-Off” date. They will meet at 9 am at Summit Gardens at 100 E. O’Connell Street in Howe. HHS sees significant improvement in overall estimated grade scoring
Howe High School Principal Phil Kempson took a moment to brag on the students and staff at Howe High School as the estimated school report card showed significant improvement from the previous period of 2019-2020, prior to COVID.
When placing the 2021 values into the formula, the overall score for HHS was an 89 (B). In STAAR Performance Approaches, Howe improved from a 78 to 87. In STAAR Performance Meets, HHS improved from 55 to

As part of the upcoming Howe All-School Reunion in midOctober, the Howe Ex -Students Association is hosting a benefit concert featuring the Chicago Tribute Authority Texas. The event will be the finale of the reunion weekend on Sunday, Oct. 16 at 7:30 pm,

Howe ISD sets Howe All-School Reunion lunch graduation tickets on sale date The Howe ISD Board of Trustees approved the setting of graduation on May 28, 2022, at 2 pm at Howe High School. The date is one day after the final day of school.
