Blown away Founders Day Festival well attended despite high winds
The Pfizer vaccine brought in $3.5 billion in revenue in the first three months of this year, nearly a quarter of its total revenue. The vaccine was, far and away, Pfizer’s biggest source of revenue. Wonder how much Dr. Fauci’s cut was? ***** The Maricopa County Election Board claimed this week they do not have “Admin” access to their county’s voting machines. Only Dominion—the machine company has access. Audit Director Ken Bennet says Dominion is refusing to comply with the State Senate’s subpoena and is hiding the second password for their machines. Wonder why? ***** The 2021 Battle of the Ax game will mark the first time that both sides have had new coaches in the same year since 1945 — when it was Sherman’s Finis Vaughn against Denison’s Arnold Johnson. Families flocked the downtown area on Saturday. Staff photo. The 35th Annual Founders Day Festival was one of the windiest of all time with gusts taking canopies away like Mary Poppins in paparazzi jewelry. The festival had nearly 90 paid vendors which included wine tasting, pulled pork sandwiches, popcorn, an inflatable slide, kid train, shaved ice, and of course live music by Bent Creek who has played the festival for many years now. “Seeing kids running through downtown
and having a good time makes it all worthwhile. Those are positive memories that they will carry with them about their childhood in this small town for the rest of their lives and that is so important to community development,” said Monte Walker, Director of Economic Development and Chamber of Commerce President who was 11 years old in Howe’s first Founder’s Day. “I remember that first one and it was special then and it’s special now.”
