The Howe Bulldogs (2-3, 0 -1) took their second win of the year on Tuesday thanks in part to a seniorfreshman brother tandem. Senior Noah Campbell, the team’s leading scorer took over in the third period with ten of his 12 points and put Howe in the driver’s seat for the 40-26 eventual win at home over the Celeste Blue Devils. The senior Campbell also shared the stage with little brother Jacob Campbell, a freshman, who has turned into a luxury player off the bench recently spelling guard Austin Haley who has struggled with foul trouble early in games. Jacob Campbell, a wellabove average ball-handler with good floor vision was

able to slice through defenders to set up underneath feeds to post Kolby Taylor. With Howe leading by two with 0:36 left in the game, the youngest Campbell drained two free throws which eventually became the game-winning points. Howe and Celeste battled back-and-forth early in the game where the Bulldogs led 8-6 after the first period and the game was knotted at 17 at the half. But the game changed in the third when Noah Campbell quickly drained two 3pointers back-to-back which the final forced a timeout by Celeste which gave Howe clear momentum.

Howe outscored Celeste, 14-6 in the third to take a 31-23 lead heading into the fourth. But Celeste did not rollover and scored the game’s next eight points to tie the game at 31 thanks to Damon Crook’s 3-pointer with 3:41 left in the game. But Howe junior Luke Lopez answered right back with a 3-ball of his own to give Howe the 34-31 lead at the 2:35 mark.
