Howe Bulldogs will have new offensive and defensive coordinators this fall
Youth baseball begins tonight. Two of Howe’s 14U teams will play in Whitewright beginning at 6 pm. The second game is at 8 pm which is the one we have special interest in as we know the coach and his kid pretty well. Howe’s Ferguson Field opens tonight with three 8U games beginning at 6 pm. Howe’s 12U will play in Whitewright tonight with the first game at 6 pm. The 6U and 10U games will be held tomorrow as well as Josh Daniels’ 14U game which is in Bells at 6 pm. Howe Youth Football will begin soon also with registrations coming online very soon. Mike Portman is replacing Chris Campbell as the Howe Commissioner. July 29 – First day for “conditioning” practices (helmets only). August 5 – First day for full pad practices. August 17 – Weigh-ins (Whitewright Youth Baseball Fields - time to be determined). August 24 – First game (site to be determined).

On Tuesday afternoon, Chase Harvey and Brice Harvey, Jr. of Harvey Angus Farms, brought a John Deere tractor to Quick Check in Howe and loaded two pallets of water for their upcoming work in the hay fields. The young cousins will be working the fields in South Sherman and a lot of land
around Collinsville. The Harveys could’ve picked up the cases of water elsewhere but wanted to make sure and shop locally and encouraged others to shop locally as well. They also mentioned that if anyone needs freezer beef, Harvey Angus Farms can be of service locally.

Howe Athletic Director Bill Jehling was a very happy man last week for several reasons. The first is that summer workouts finally have begun, and he
