Thurman signs to run hurdles at SAGU
Howe’s That—Feb, 18, 1971 by Bob Walker Do you remember when? Attending college was a privilege rather than a right? A farmer could plant what he wished? Taxes were a nuisance rather than a burden? right away that was the spot I needed to go to.” Thurman said that being a Christian college and visiting with the coaches and players ultimately won him over because of the sense of family that they shared. He also credited Howe ISD for preparing him for the next step in his life. Thurman plans to run the 110 hurdles at SAGU as well as other events. He’s the son of Brad and Melba Thurman of Howe.
