Santa and Mrs. Claus making a visit to Howe this weekend
Questions about this climate “crisis.” There was a big to-do about the Paris Agreement last week. Lately I’ve noticed planes constantly leaving trails in the sky that eventually turn a beautiful high sky with no clouds to a haze over a certain area that spreads to full-blown cloud cover. Anyone else noticing this? Start looking up. Back to our tax dollars going to this Paris agreement that our “representatives” say we’re still on board with— Who audits the money? What percentage is typically categorized as cost? What’s the salary of a U.S. Senator? Congressman? President? VP? What’s their net worth pre-office and net worth post-office? How do elected officials become mega multimillionaires? How to steal taxpayer money—Determine an emotional pull, create a media scare campaign, use pro-narrative minded authorities to provide the foundation to support it. Then deploy group-think tactics and circular reporting. Then use the public outcry to justify spending billions of taxpayer dollars. Don’t be duped. EDITOR’S NOTE—This column is reserved as an opinion column and may not necessarily reflect the policy of this publication.
On Saturday, the Howe Area Chamber of Commerce will host the annual Christmas Parade which will begin at 4:30 pm. The best place to watch from will be near downtown where music will play. A parade will have an emcee which will be located in front of the chamber office at 101 E. Haning St. Kids can meet both Santa and Mrs. Claus immediately following the parade at Summit Gardens. The event is free to the public and those that want to enter a float in the parade also can do so at no charge. The chamber will be selling hot chocolate at the Meet Santa event at
Summit Gardens and will also be raffling off a shotgun at the chamber office before and after the parade. Those that have entered a float in the parade so far are: Pride of Howe Marching Band, Mantua Masonic Lodge #209, Eva’s All Season’s Glass, Ron’s Roadside Repair, “Freedom” - the veteran truck, Howe Pack 45 Scouts, Pristine Towing & Roadside, Jeff Whitmire (Continued on page 4)
