Howe PD make arrest for assault

HOWE, Texas – On September 10 at 7:14 pm, Howe police were dispatched to a residence in the 100 block of east Haning Street in reference to an assault The victim, a 25-year-old Lincoln, California man reported that he was visiting a friend at the residence when his friend’s estranged husband showed up and forced his way into the dwelling The victim told Officer Martinez the 22-year-old Denison man kicked the restroom door and struck the victim in the jaw with his fist The suspect left the scene prior to the officer arriving but returned to the scene where he was arrested for Assault Causing Bodily Injury and Criminal Mischief > $100 < $750



Howe 7th-grade opens season with win

Howe's 7th grade football team opened the season at home against Bells and took home an easy 32-0 win
Triston Williams tackled a Panther in their own endzone for a safety and the season's first points Howe led 2-0 with 2:57 left in the first quarter Moments later, Howe got in the endzone on a Braden Ulmer touchdown with 1:53 left in the first to up their advantage to 80
Williams had a fumble recovery which led to another Ulmer touchdown with :40 let in the first Ulmer also converted the 2-point conversion to give the Bulldogs a 16-0 lead
Quarterback Garren Lankford scampered for a touchdown with 2:42 left in the second quarter The successful 2-point conversion gave Howe a 24-0 lead
In the fourth quarter, Talan Haley added another Bulldog touchdown and Parker Daniels scored the 2-point conversion to round out the scoring for the 32-0 win
