Lady Bulldogs finish third in Athens Tournament
The Howe Lady Bulldogs entered the week still holding on to the 19th spot in the state rankings among Class 3A teams On Tuesday the girls suffered a 31-21 loss to Muenster The low scoring game saw a total of four points in the first period with a 2-2 tie
Jenna Honore led Howe with 8 points with Cassidy Anderson adding 6 and Ally Harvey with 5 Sierra Copeland rounded out the scoring with a bucket, but she led the team with 8 rebounds

Howe then entered the Athens Tournament with all larger schools They opened with a 40-25 win over Palestine Honore again led Howe with 16 points on 6-of11 shooting from the field Calley Vick added 9 and Anderson had 8 Howe outscored Palestine in each period and led 20-14 at the half
The girls then faced off with Bullard who handed Howe a 35-25 loss The Lady Bulldogs found themselves trailing 14-3 after the first period and never recovered The low scoring output saw
Honore lead the team with 6 points Others were Anderson (5), Molly Wilson (5), Ally Harvey (4), Vick (2), and Marissa Agee (2)
Howe regrouped against Brownsboro and advanced in the tournament with a 48-33 win Howe's second and third quarter domination created the separation in the game where Howe outscored Brownsboro 16-5 in the second and 14-6 in the third, respectively Harvey led Howe with 15 points with Honore racking up 13 Other scorers were Vick (9), Anderson (4), Wilson (3), Agee (2), Copeland (2)
The Howe girls finished out the tournament with a loss to Canton, 35-25 where Howe actually led 9-0 after the first period But Canton stormed back and won each of the next three periods to take the win The loss gave Howe the third-place trophy in the tournament. Harvey led the Lady Bulldogs with 8 points and 8 rebounds Other scorers were Anderson (5), Copeland (4), Vick (2), Grogan (2), Wilson (2), and Honore (2).
