Town Hall Meeting Thursday
Last week we made a correction to the officers of Keep Howe Beautiful. Unfortunately, we once again screwed it up so we're going to make a correction to our correction. Curt Beckemeyer is the vice president. Donna Wormsbaker is the president.
The City of Howe is holding a Town Hall meeting Thursday to discuss the direction of the future of Howe in regard to growth. The meeting will be led by Howe Congratulations to Howe's Kindle Catching who placed Mayor Jeff Stanley, City Administrator Joe 9th of 473 in the FFA Shephard, and Director of interview contest over the Economic Development weekend.

Santa to visit Howe for breakfast and parade Saturday
Construction to form the concrete piers on what will be the northern wall of the building. After an extremely wet October month, construction is now in full operation at the site of the future Howe ISD primary school. The facility is scheduled to open in August and Howe ISD Superintendent Kevin Wilson says that they are behind schedule due to the weather the timeline is not in jeopardy. He stated that the
need of continued cooperation from the weather is much needed in order to achieve the goal set for the August grand opening. "They've (Gallagher Construction) done a really good job of getting crews in here and getting caught up," page 9
Howe Enterprise wins secondstraight Hugh Aynesworth Award
Howe City Councilman Jonathan Coleman who is also the music minister at First Baptist Church of Howe announced to the congregation Sunday that he has accepted a position as pastor of Outreach Mission Dorado Baptist Church in Odessa, Texas. There he will be mentored by Senior Pastor Del Traffanstedt. Coleman thanked the community for which he and his family have been here for over six years.
Santa overlooked the sausage and bacon at the annual "Breakfast with Santa" held by the Howe Volunteer Fire Department. Santa Claus will be making a special trip through Howe on Saturday, Dec. 8 and will have a very busy day around South Grayson County and North Collin County.

Saturday night at the Irving Convention Center, the Press Club of Dallas held its 2nd Annual Hugh Aynesworth Awards banquet. For the second year in a row, the Howe Enterprise was nominated in the "Weekly Newspaper" category and for the second year in a row, the publication was selected as the winner. The award winning story was one entitled, "Two Howe Ladies blessed to survive weekend in Vegas" which was an article about the experiences of Sharon Carroll and Marcy Ross of Howe who ran for Monte Walker, president their lives during the Las page 16 of Grayson Publishing, LLC accepts the award.
