Pottsboro escapes muddy P&Z, city council and school Bulldog Stadium with 27-0 win board to consider water line

for new primary school Mayor Jeff Stanley is expected to swear in former Howe Police Chief Carl Hudman to serve in the same role. The swearing in is scheduled for this morning (Monday) at 8 am at City Hall. +++ There is something nostalgic about the throwback mentality of a hometown football team that has a natural grass/mud field, uses it to their advantage while everyone else plays 7-on-7 tag turf football. The Howe kids dress in all black, sometimes brown, play hard and fast for four quarters and give everything they have. It's a little hard to be upset about that. +++ The Howe Middle School will hold their dance on Oct. 27 from 6pm - 9pm. It's for grades 6-8 for students with no missing assignments from Oct. 1-19. A dress code has been announced which is the same as normal day attire except that the girls can wear dresses that reach mid-thigh instead of knee length. Sleeveless dresses/ tops are permissible but there should be a 3finger width strap at the top. Otherwise, a jacket or shrug is needed. Costumes are permissible, but dress code guidelines still apply.
