Howe's That
Although this is the biggest week for the chamber leading up the the Hall of Honor and the Founders Day Festival, the chamber and EDC office will be closed all week due to the EDC Director taking classes at the University of Oklahoma EDI. What a week for Howe sports as the Lady Bulldogs win the regional championship in golf, win the bi-district championship in softball, send Ally Harvey to state in the high jump just to name a few accomplishments. Not to be left out, the Bulldogs also had a good week by clinching a playoff spot with a big win.

Howe Chamber set for big downtown weekend
It's not every day that the Grayson County Sheriff, Commissioner, Justice of the Peace, and other officials are in town, but Friday night's 4th Annual Howe Hall of Honor Ceremony brings out the dignitaries from the county and city. Mayor Jeff Stanley will welcome honored guests along with the Howe Area Chamber of Commerce who is the official host of the night. The four members to be inducted into this year's class are Tommy Skipworth, Bob Williams, Norman Bennett, and Harold Taylor. The chamber will also announce the winner of the 2017
Norma J. Wallace Citizen of the Year as well as the Howe Business of the Year and the Howe Volunteer Organization of the Year. The families of Mr. Skipworth and Mr. Williams will be in attendance to accept the honor and give remarks. Bennett and Taylor are each expected to be on-hand to personally accept the honor and give a few remarks. Donna Jarma is scheduled to introduce Bennett as he returns to Howe for the honor. page 3

Today is National Honesty Day which means that apparently Washington D.C. might as well take the day off. I'm not sure anything can get done. It also must be a major day off for networks like CNN, MSNBC, and newspapers such as the Washington Post, New York Times, and magazines like Newsweek, and others. We broadcast the Lady Bulldogs softball playoff games this weekend and we had some help from Howe's former athletic director. No, Zack Hudson was not on the air with us, but he did help walk us through a breaker box emergency at the softball field that dealt with press box power. Hudson was gracious to help his old stomping grounds and it was much appreciated. HoweEnterprise.com Readership Jan. 1 - April 28, 2018 Sessions: 35,038 Users: 17,886 Pageviews: 158,070
