Texoma Patriots welcome two Congressmen to upcoming meeting

The Texoma Patriots will hold a "Post-Session Wrap-up" on Tuesday, September 19 at 7 pm at Buck Snort BBQ in Downtown Van Alstyne with Representative Matt Rinaldi of the Texas Freedom Caucus and Representative Scott Sanford of the Freedom of Religious Exercise Exchange The Congressmen will talk about their roles in the Texas House of Representatives and the information of what happened during the Texas 85th Session and also what passed and what did not in the Special Session

Representative Matt Rinaldi of House District 115 (Irving) was elected in 2014 Currently he sits on both the Committee on Judiciary & Civil Jurisprudence as well as the Committee on Agriculture & Livestock During the 85th Legislative Session, he was elected to serve on the Republican Caucus Policy Committee

Currently Matt works as a commercial litigation attorney while also serving on the board of directors of a publicly-traded real estate investment trust in the hotel and hospitality industry.

He continues to be a strong advocate for limited government, personal liberty and free market policies, secure borders, 2nd

Amendment rights, and the protection of life

Representative Scott Sanford represents House District 70 (McKinney, Anna, Celina, Melissa, Princeton, & Prosper)

Scott is Executive Pastor at Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church in Allen

Since religious liberty legislation is needed in every state across the nation, he authored and sponsored Religious Liberty legislation such as the Pastor Protection Bill, the Hope for Orphans and Minors Expansion act as well as the protection for Christian Health Care Sharing Ministries Realizing that state legislative exchange organizations have abandoned social issues, he began the process of creating FREE or Freedom of Religious Exercise Exchange.

The Texoma Patriots are hoping for insight that can the Congressmen can give to help us learn more about the process, challenges, and potential for the State Representatives
