Autification Efforts Live On

On Friday, the Texas beautification icon and Howe’s own Miss Mame Roberts’ photo went up on the wall that faces the highway she once planted crepe myrtles along back in the 1930s and 40s Ironically, her photo is lifted up on Earth Day as her efforts to beautify Howe now live on nearly 40 years after her death The sign is an awareness effort by the volunteer organization, Keep Howe Beautiful, which is a local affiliate
