Lady Bulldogs clinch playoffs with two wins

The Lady Bulldogs rocked Callisburg on Tuesday night by a score of 57-27 Howe never allowed a double-digit period from Callisburg until the fourth and final frame The defense was dominant holding Callisburg to six points in the first, seven points in the second, only two points in the third, and 12 points in the fourth

Howe led 15-6 after the first and never looked back. Riley Harvey led the Lady Bulldogs with 16 points an 5 rebounds. She also shot 66 percent from the field which led the Howe girls. Peyton Streetman added nine ponts and Holly Hawkins totalled eight. Other scorers were Payton Griffin (6), Hunter Brockleman (4), Alissa Smith (4), Landry Rhoten (3), Madisyn Hargrove (2), Jaylyn Mosse (2), Kayla Anderson (2), and Kamryn Fulenchek (1)

On Friday night, the senior girls played their final game at home while Head Coach Derek Lands was seeking his 350th career win as a head basketball coach

Howe slammed open the game with a quick 13-1 first quarter performance That resumed to a 27-14 halftime lead for Howe

The third quarter was an offensive showcase for the Lady Bulldogs by scoring 22 points Howe finished out Ponder with a 16-7 fourth quarter win

Harvey was dominant in her last performance in front of the home crowd She scored 23 points and ripped down 15 rebounds. Senior Smith also had a big night with 15 points and four rebounds. Senior Darci Foster finished with 10 points, hitting her customary baseline three pointers Other scorers were Hawkins (6), Streetman (6), Rhoten (2), Fulenchek (1), Griffin (1), and Anderson (1)

The Lady Bulldogs will be the number two seed in 10-3A and will play the three seed from 9-3A.
