Special teams hurt 'Dogs in 49-7 loss

Early in the contest Friday night at Pottsboro, a freight train made its presence just to the south of Jim Henderson Field. Bulldogs' fans could almost sense the symbolism attached to the moment as the Cardinals, ranked #1 in Class 3A, Division I were firing up the engines on their own freight train that rolls just north of the railroad tracks at the 43year-old stadium

Pottsboro's 49-7 win would assure them a 5-0 start, however, after the game, the UIL pentalized the team for using an inelligible player for the first three weeks and now the dominant team stands as 2-3, having scored 235 points and given up only 29.

"This growing season is just a couple of months " said Salvage Junky owner Debbie Wallis "They're in it full-time and they say that all day doesn't really pay off so they wanted to do it from 3pm to 6pm I figure we can test the market that way and hope it does good."
