A kiss for the queen
by Monte Walker I remember when my grandfather told me that the edge of Dallas was Lovers Lane. It's a bit hard to imagine now that Dallas' edge is somewhere between, say, McKinney and Melissa. Change is a scary word. It's hard for me as someone who's been here from day one. As a matter of fact, the Walkers moved six miles from here back in 1895 when Howe and Van Alstyne were just over 20years-old. I would love for Howe to always be the quaint little small town that it is and that I love so dear. a The cold hard truth is that is will not. Like it or not, things change. Grisham scores five TDs; Howe remains unbeaten

Master planned community in sight for Howe

Along the south part of Howe at Blythe Road and US 75, a master plan is being developed by Tomlin Investments that will create a large amount of new housing for the expected growth to this area over the next few years. Scott Norris, of Tomlin Investments has been in discussions with the City
of Howe for quite some time now and there are a few technical details to work out between engineers and attorneys, but all appears that Howe will soon have their own "Georgetown" such as Van Alstyne neighborhood that was developed several year ago. Norris gave full-scale continued on Page #3
